Great service and food! The place itself is not very fancy or well designed - it’s pretty casual, but the details show more than that. A bit overpriced, but once you taste the food, you’d get why. The bread is really great and served immediately when seated. We had the 2 different soups and they were both great, especially the leek and yogurt one. The cured smoked beef with beef candies was also very tasty, I just wish there was more beef in there. We had also the sea bass and lamb, both dishes were pretty special, well seasoned and yummy. For the dessert we had the chocolate tart and the yogurt cake with pistachio and pomegranate- both were amazing. Wine selection is not very wide, but satisfying.

Cannot recommend enough. Worth the money, left the restaurant feeling very full and happy. Great location and interior. Highly recommend.

Fantastic meal! I had the beetroot and black cumin soup; the chargrilled lamb with warm potato and feta salad, roasted beet root with hot mint sauce and for dessert the rose and cardamon ice cream. The lamb was cooked to perfection! The service is as top notch. I would definitely come back to eat here again the next time I am in London

Moro offer an absoluty divine Christmas set menu for groups of eight or more. I was so excited to enjoy each dish as it came that I completely forgot to take images for later. The selection of 5 starters to share were all delightful alongside their fluffy sourdough to finish the sauces. The stand out to me was the Sea Bream Ceviche with raw salad, such a fresh and zingy starter. Two other delights were the Charcoal grilled quail with winter tabbouleh as well as the Grilled leeks and artichokes. I was too excited to take a photo of my main but I had the Charcoal grilled Lamb with farika and pumpkin puree. Having sampled the Wood Roasted chicken I can recommend the Lamb if you fancy something rich however the chicken was succulent and not at all dry. For dessert I ordered the Yogurt cake which did not impress me. Thankfully a companion switched with me and I much enjoyed the Chocolate tart which was delightfully bitter. If you're after a little boozy treat the Sherry Ice cream is a strong contender, no need for a tipple afterwards. All in all a wonderful experience with great company, the staff were all so helpful, gracious and attentive to detail I cannot fault them.

Delicious sharing starter plates - we had all of them (feta watermelon salad, bean tuna salad, spinach anchovies and mini burgers) and didn’t get round to mains. The bread at the start was fantastic and the toilets very clean - always great signs of a good restaurant. Service was also delivered with a smile.

Great spot for tapas, love that they open early for dinner as we went at 5ishpm for a pre show bite. Amazing tortilla (even though theirs is a cold version), and probably the best bean soup I’ve ever had. Some other things we had were underseasoned, and some over seasoned but overall still tasty enough for a second visit. Service was also lovely!

Moro is a lovely Moorish restaurant in exmouth market, nice big place and has some great food. The lamb was really nice as was the ice cream. I wish they sold the bread they make in house, it’s superb!

Each dish bursting with delicious flavors. The lamb liver and quail starters set the tone, offering a tantalizing beginning to our meal. Sharing the vegetable mezze was a delightful experience, showcasing a variety of flavors and textures. The restaurant's warm ambiance provided the perfect refuge on a cold winter day.

We had the most incredible food in a great atmosphere. The cherry cava aperitivo was so fresh and delicious, and the food was seasonal, beautifully cooked and the portions were generous. I especially loved the chocolate orange tart. The person who served us was really attentive and experienced. Highly recommend.

Love the Moro cookbook and been meaning to visit this restaurant for the past 20 years! Testament to its quality and ethos meant that I could. Loved the bustle and noise of a packed restaurant. Great service, tasty, hearty, healthy food. Kudos to the kitchen team pictured here!

Delicious food at Moro. The starters are all amazing. For mains the fish and chicken are great. Dessert has to be the cardamom and rose ice cream - perfection. Highly recommend

Fantastic! We were constantly kept topped up with wine all evening, and loved the food options. Tapas starters and main courses were great.

Always a pleasure to visit the place: the flavours, the service and the place are just perfect for a night between friends, family or a date. I like it better when sharing a selection of small plates to test a max of dishes! And the location is great for a little stroll afterwards.

An exceptional restaurant. I was going to say ‘local restaurant’ but Moro would be exceptional wherever it was. The food is first class and makes most Italian restaurants seem ordinary. The belly pork was the best I’ve ever eaten. Although we ate at lunchtime and the restaurant was pretty well empty, everything we ate seems freshly prepared. First class Italian wine list as well. We paid just short of £90 for two for three course, three glasses of wine and coffee. Great value.

I enjoyed our meal at Moro, some interesting dishes on the evening menu, my lamb was cooked to perfection, there’s also extensive wine list. The tables are crammed in quite tightly which meant people were forever squeezing past the back of my chair on their way to and from the toilet which became quite an annoyance. On the whole though it was an enjoyable experience and I would probably return.

If you love the tastes and smells of Spain, the eastern Mediterranean and North Africa then Moro is just so tasty. A fantastic lunch of crab, chicken lamb, yoghurt cake with a lovely dark red wine. Great food and atmosphere with friendly staff.

Really enjoyed dinner at Moro. My partner’s been before but I have not and he’s always raved about it. I opted for the croquettes for a starter and the mixed veg mezze for a main, between us we shared a bottle of orange wine. Usually we’d go for the typical starter-main-dessert but we were both super stuffed by the end of the main. Really enjoyable and tasty food. Staff were lovely. Exmouth market is a great spot for this restaurant. Excited to come again.

The food was just delicious. Loving the details, Salt & pepper, table tops, branding, floor tiles… A restaurant that is full of nice details.

Never disappointed with the food and service here. Recommend for casual dinning. Starter varies a lot from time to time. The lamb never disappointed me as the main. Finish with yogurt cake. The cookbook sold in the restaurant (original and newer one) are both popular.

Fantastic service. Booked a table of 7, they called a day prior to confirm. Welcomed us, made us comfortable and addressed any needs - including that there were 8 of us. No problem. Loved the open plan kitchen - the chefs looked very relaxed, and I liked seeing them looking out at the restaurant to see that people were enjoying their food. Often with busy open kitchens, they are too busy to look up. If I were going back I might wish there was a seat at the kitchen bench but there is not. Food was fantastic, we ordered a trip of starters and each had mains. I had the duck, but the lamb stole the show by all accounts. We did have a vegetarian in our group, who also happens to be pregnant (so further dietary requirements) and I don’t think the menu is particularly suited - they did try and accommodate with the starters but it wasn’t quite working. She had the fish for main which she loved. As we left, everyone front of house waved and said thanks - which, during a busy lunch service, was a real feel good moment.

Very delicious 🤤 hence we brought our friends on our second visit! It’s amazing that they changed the menu but the dishes are all amazing. The only downside is that it’s a bit too noisy

Good meal all around. If you want to try something new and while having the comfortable feel of a home cooked meal, this is the perfect restaurant.

Lunch at Moro I have used Moro cookbooks for several years but never been to the epicentre! On this visit to London, we made time for a Moro lunch break. Genuine atmosphere with genuine food. There is a reason why Moro has been here for 25 years! Loved the menu, slightly pricey though.

Such a lovely time - excellent food, friendly service and great atmosphere in one of the most fun streets in London. Menu wise, food was mostly delicious: chicken was succulent and flavorful and lamb and aubergine was divine with the homemade flatbread. Didn’t love the artichoke dish, which was not as hearty as the other plates (all of which were really generously sized). Great alcohol menu, with an emphasis on (of course) Spanish wines and spirits. Our server was helpful, gave us honest advice and was happy to answer everything we asked! And the booking team was equally kind. Would most definitely recommend, and not just because they gave me free bread and olive oil.

We had a fantastic post show dinner here last night. We were served by Sophia who was excellent she recommended a delicious and unusual wine paring and really took care of us. Both our dishes were perfect with bold flavours and interesting combinations. Will definitely be back.

This is the second time I’ve eaten in the private room at Moro. Food very good and lovely staff. Unfortunately, even for us 30-somethings, it is way too loud to hear anyone except your immediate neighbour (if you paid a lot of attention and they were shouting loudly). I think there as probably a reason why traditionally pubs and restaurants had soft furnishings - to muffle the sound of lots of people talking. Something, anything, to deaden the racket bouncing off the walls would have been appreciated by me and my whole party. Spent over £2,500 but can’t imagine I’ll be returning in a hurry and impossible to be more generous than a 3* grading unfortunately.

Great restaurant! Had their take-away box at Exmouth market. The box is super filling and their hummus is amazing!

Average food along with rushed and impersonal service make a forgettable combination... Pork belly was nice and crunchy all else was meh.

Today I learned that there is a Spanish version of my favorite Bavarian dish „Schweinekrustenbraten“. They put some green sauce on it, which seemed very British at first, until I found out that it is actually Spanish-Moorish. It tasted delightful. Also, I found the probably cheapest non-free sparkling water in London - 50 pence for roughly a liter of this delicious liquid.

Lovely tasty food, great staff, even brought my husband a sample of the soup, which I hadn't shared with him and he loved it. Our waitress even organised us the recipe. We had flatbread, lamb and mackerel. Fresh and oh so tasty, and a chilled bottle of Riesling.

Excellent food, staff and location. Highly recommend this place. The menu changes every month I think so make sure you check it before you go. Undoubtedly the highlight for us was the starter pigeon with garlic sauce.

Visited recently for a work Xmas party. A nice venue with friendly staff. We had some tapas between us as a starter which was good, the grilled chorizo in particular. I wasn’t a fan of the babaganoush personally, not because it tasted bad, I just don’t like the consistency of that dish. I had the Wood roasted pork belly for my main which was incredible. The trinxat side is almost bubble & squeak, which was also very good. For dessert I had Malaga raisin ice cream which is very very boozy. All in all a great experience and will definitely return.

Came here for our team Christmas lunch. Had never heard of it, but was booked by someone else in the team. As soon as you walk in you can smell the lovely food. We had their Christmas menu which included a bunch of starters to share, a main each and a dessert too. It was all SOOOO DELICIOUS. I’m not sure why I’ve never heard of it before, or how popular it is in London but it is amazing. Underrated in my eyes. The starters were my favourite I have to say. It varied from creamy leeks, beetroot, liver, a pasta with squid and more. All great. I don’t even like liver, but this one was amazing. Everyone had a variety of dishes for mains. I personally got seabass, others had duck, cod and lamb. I tried everything and was all cooked amazingly and so interestingly spiced. The pictures give a better view and I could be here all day describing each dish. Really is something special, this needs to be tried. Loved it, would go again. The staff were super friendly and accommodating even when we were getting a little loud! We had some amazing desserts, the most popular being a lemony yoghurt cake. Also they give bread, LOTS of great bread.

Moro is a great Spanish restaurant - though I'm not 100% sure how authentic Spanish the food is or from what region. Some up-market restaurants explain their background and cuisine type in an area of the menu which can be useful. The food was excellent quality, perhaps a tad overpriced for the portion size though. The drinks (cocktails, freshly squeezed blood orange juice etc) were also great and had a good variety. I had sourdough with oil and salt for the table, the halloumi and tomatoe starter, baked lamb for main, and the chocolate and apricot desert and thought this was excellent, though the lamb was cut very thinly - a thicker cut would be juicier. My partner tried the hake (which I also include a picture of and said that it tasted amazing). It's definitely worth visiting and trying for yourself - just bear in mind it's about £60 per person before service charge.
