It looks quite small but this place has some serious hardware as well as plenty of information about the wars, what soldiers wore, lots of information on artillery, etc. Son had a cracking time as he loves anything to do with the military. There is also a cafe there serving hot food and reasonably priced. Place is well worth a visit.

One of the best military museums I have had the pleasure of visiting and certainly the biggest collection! The vast array of military equipment, uniforms, medals and artefacts is stunning. The cafe snd facilities on site are excellent as are the staff. The gift shop has a vast array of souvenirs including a used book section which is interesting to pick up some more vintage books as well as fairly new ones. A great addition to the shop!

Visited off- peak and mid- week. Great place to visit for those interested in militaria. Along with the obvious tanks and armoured vehicles, there were lots of models and dioramas which I found just as interesting, if not more so than the hardware. The collection should advertise this as it would appeal to model makers not necessarily interested in armour. The only downside was that the exhibits were quite crammed together making viewing and photographing difficult, I appreciate there is only so much space so this needs to be taken into consideration by the visitor. I walked from the village, this wasn’t easy so car travel is probably the best way to visit which is a shame as it excludes walkers/bus travellers.

Visited with my girlfriend on a Tuesday afternoon. A fantastic array of medals, uniform, equipment, weaponry, ordinance and vehicles. Full size, minature, photographs and QR codes throughout give plenty of history. Recreations of WW2 with mannequins, scale model battlefields and paintings are littered throughout. Well presented and researched exhibits will keep anyone militarily interested engaged throughout.

Went on a weekday in October. The entrance and car park were well laid out and signed. We met two staff members who were both lovely. The day was quiet and we didn't feel rushed, which is just as well, as the place has loads of exhibits. Lots of early military history followed by bullets, missiles, army vehicles, tanks, anti aircraft guns etc. The collection was well maintained and obviously cared for. The food in the cafe was excellent. A little expensive but we are happy to pay for nice food. At the end there us a gift shop as usual, which was great and not overpriced as some places are. We had a wonderful day, learned a lot and got to touch some real tanks. Those things are huge in real life!

This is somewhere I have wanted to visit and really enjoyed it, there is a lot of information and vehicles from the Second World War and all displayed very well, while we was there we had lunch and I must say it was beautiful, the whole experience was amazing and well worth the visit.

Having visited the museum some 25 yrs ago, we were staying in the north Norfolk area and my husband wanted to revisit. I went to the cafe to wait for him (its half way round the museum). It was lunchtime so I ordered soup of the day : chicken. It was absolutely amazing, so tasty, so obviously homemade, but gorgeous. I loved it. The food is amazing, the cakes are out of this world. I would go back for the food, my husband for the military collection ❤❤❤

We first visited about 10 years ago and even after all that time it's still a great place to visit. My lad (14) loves to look round, and this year, he loved it as he is a lot older. We enjoyed the ride round the site in the back of the Bedford truck. Was able to sit outside for a picnic and enjoyed the lovely views. Thank you. Thoroughly recommended.

So may tanks and associated vehicles, all with good information boards. Bumpy lorry ride round the wartime site recommended but it is very bumpy and lurches about so hang on tight! Nice cafe

It's highly worth the visit. However, a few less 'Dont climb the attraction' and more info cards would have been nice. 100% go for the truck ride, great fun, and informative!

Great collection of artillery and armoured vehicles. Museum is well curated. Opens at 10am daily, and shut at 5pm on weekends in summer. Allow between 1-2 hours for a visit. No dogs allowed inside, but they have outdoor kennels you can use. Bicycle parking out front near the entrance.

Visited the collection today. What a fantastic and interesting collection of vehicles etc. The cases of militaria and models were fantastic. The cafe is large and has a great menu and, you are served by a very genial gentleman. The whole experience from entering and being welcomed by a very friendly young lady, started a great experience. This place is a must see if visiting Norfolk.

I like WWll history so this was very interesting to me, So much kit to look at in the vehicle sheds with a few more dotted on the lawns there are some really unusual vehicles here..A small criticism is there were too many crammed in that we couldnt see then properly, it would be great if more sheds could be used perhaps? Bigger criticism is the food and drink in the cafe was overpriced.. otherwise an excellent half day, well done to the spanner men!!

Well worth a visit if you're interested in military craft, weapons, memorabilia and interesting displays. Easy to find with satnav with loads of parking and clean toilets. Cafe is good with great food and friendly staff. You won't be disappointed.

Fantastic few hours slowly walking around a huge collection of weaponry, uniforms and scale models. This museum has a great collection of cold war hardware, from small recce vehicles right up to British and soviet MBTs and bridge layers. There are collections of howitzers, anti tank guns, surface to air missiles, and even an excellent example of a German flak 88. Outside you can find a MK1 Harrier, more massive guns and a V1 rocket!!!. There are clean toilets near the cafeteria, which are spacious and well decorated. The shop is reasonably priced, and has a good cupboard full of all sorts of military books, ranging from historical and technical, through to pulp fiction in the vein of Chris Ryan and Tom Clancy. A thoroughly great afternoon out!!!

Outstanding! There's so much history here, for all you military fans. From tanks, to badges, from models of ships and WW1 trenches, this place is for you. Tank rides were closed due to covid restrictions, but that didn't matter as the history itself was amazing. Well worth a visit if you're visiting the area or on holiday.

This place really is a hidden jem! Anyone who wants to explore tanks or any sort of military history needs to visit this place. The collection really is out standing. The cafe is well stocked and the view from the picnic area is absolutely gorgeous you can see all the way out to the wind farms. I would say the price is fair but alittle bit expensive especially as a trip out on the military bus is additional £3 per person. Over all we had a great time and got a couple of hours out of it and most importantly my grandad had a lovely day out!

We had a lovely time here looking at all the military items, we went for a ride on the lorry which gave us a tour and talk around the site. Lovely cafe looking out to sea. Cake was gorgeous 😍 Very reasonable entry price

This place is so so worth the money. Tons and tons of interesting exhibits, stunning views off the cliffs too. Had a delicious slice of coffee and walnut cake in the cafe 😗👌. Exactly as I remember when I was a kid. Definitely a place to go if your in Norfolk

Me and kids have drove past this place so many times over the years. Finally got our backsides in there. Very glad we did.... we all loved it. Loads to learn and see. The ride on the 1940's truck at the end around the old airfield was very interesting and bumpy. Great laugh.
