So much passion has gone into this museum, it's a real labour of love. I would have liked to have seen a little more info about the artifacts they had which originally belonged to Stan (their best asset) and maybe less of the merchandise which wasn't for sale, which really amounted to other people's Stan and Ollie mugs and posters etc, this didn't really add anything for me. I wonder what the future holds for such a place. Whilst not far from the high street, they sadly lack a high street presence so I hope they are a destination museum rather than relying on passing tourists. More signs locally pointing people in their direction would help, especially on that brilliant statue which is so close. If I lived locally I'd love to see some proper screenings of the films. Once a month, a full length feature, with popcorn and drinks for sale, just like the old days. And a talk from Mark, obviously. I'd pay for that alone. I wish I could get here easier! Please keep up the amazing work, it's a credit to the local area and your family. I'm delighted to have visited.

Wonderful experience for fans of Stan and Ollie. Lots to see and brilliant it's set in a old cinema too which is a fitting place. Lots of information and news clippings ,a big screen shows endless loops of their films. Friendly and informative curator who is grandson of the original chap who set it all up.

Absolutely fabulous, way better and bigger than we expected! The staff are friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The museum is full of memorabilia, ornaments, news articles and stories, and it's as if everything to do with Laurel and Hardy has been tracked down and brought together in one place. If you're a fan, great or small, you need to visit this museum. 🥰

What an unexpected find. Didn’t realise Stan Laurel was born in Ulverston when we were visiting so thoroughly enjoyed the visit to the museum. Lots of memorabilia to see and non stop running of their movies. Classics. Still funny after all these years and had to drag myself away. Their statues, strangely not at the museum but on the next street along.

Lots of information, quotes & memorabilia. If you are in the area you must pop in & support this museum - they rely on us as they don't get external funding. A great chance to see a couple of their films too. Snacks/drinks/bar available. Gift shop with pens/pencils/soft toys/bow ties/dress up bowler hats and hand made cards etc.

Visited this museum on my husband's birthday weekend, as Laurel and Hardy are his all time fave comedy duo. The young man who greeted us in a Son's of the Desert fez, was friendly and knowledgeable. The Museum is so interesting, and you can sit in a little cinema area to watch Laurel and Hardy movies. It's well worth a visit 👍

Very informative and interesting place. A little step for the entrance fee at 7.00 but I guess it all goes to keeping the place open to all. A must for all Laurel and Hardy fans.

Great place to visit if you are a fan of the boys. It is very ramshackle and one room is just a massive collection of anything L&H that they could get hold of. My favourite bits are the collection of furniture rescued from the house where Stan was born and the mini cinema playing the films one after another.

A delightful gem of a museum. Clearly a passion for everyone involved in creating it. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Don't expect gleaming shiny and interactive exhibits, that just would not be fitting for the greatest comedy double act of all time. Crammed with information, movie props, thing's from Stan's childhood home, advertising posters and thousands of bits of memorabilia. A must visit for any fan of comedy and the history of slapstick in the movies. Set in The Roxy theatre Ulverston, it of course shows the duo's films non stop. Top museum.

What a wonderful place and housed in the Roxy cinema - Fabulous! Loads of memorabilia, furniture recovered from Stan's former house and so much information. There's a constant running of their films on the cinema screen where you can sit and watch one after the other for as long as you want. The chap working there is really knowledgeable so great to talk about to about Laurel and Hardy. Also a nice little cafe and shop.

A must visit for any Laurel & Hardy fan. Loads of information and pictures, and also furniture from Stan's first house where he was born! There's a cinema area playing lots of Laurel and Hardy films and shorts.

Great little place dedicated to the duo but focusing on Stan Laurel. Mini cinéma screen and bar. Parking just a bit of an issue. £7 entry for an adult. Friendly staff.

So much info.. brilliant experience... and they show the films for no extra cost... and it's licenced... what more could you ask for. A gem of a place and a very fine tribute to Stan... and Ollie ("don't call me Ollie").. sorry... Babe!!

In an old cinema room. Very basic but for only £7 fee to enter it is a good little visit for an hour.

Lovely little museum. Full of memorabilia. Shows their films all day. People were laughing. It is in an old cinema so it's quite dated.

Absolutely amazing, remember watching them during the school holidays as a child, but had no idea just how much of a global sensation they were of their time. Set in a cinema, it has old film reels running & gives you an indepth history of the comedy geniuses, along with an unprecedented amount of memorabilia. Well worth a visit.

A must for all fans of the boys. A great setting very knowledgeable & friendly staff and a huge collection of memorabilia on hand with a great gift shop too. We went late afternoon and it was nice and quiet which gave us plenty of time to view the exhibits and watch some shorts at our own pace.

👍👍 Popped to this park to walk my dog whilst visiting the Lakes for a few days. A simple but pleasant green space. Nice that there are designated areas for dogs off leads / children, so everyone is catered for. Also loved the wild flower section.
