Fantastic, well-equipped accommodation met us at the end of day 3 of 4 cycling the length of Wales for charity. Rooms were clean and comfortable. A fully equipped kitchen; warm, clean showers; and ample bike storage.

Update 17 May 2022. Still brilliant. Still spotless. WiFi much improved too. Excellent bunk house in the Brecon Beacons. Don't forget to take your own towels though. Very well equipped kitchen. Lots of games and reading material. Pub just across a rather dangerous road so be careful crossing. Lovely barbecue area too.

Great place to stay whilst visiting Brecon Beacons. Great friendly hosts, rooms and beds were more than adequate, plenty of appliances in the kitchen with lots of room to eat. Not always needed, but WiFi was great to download maps and check the weather for your hike. At the end of a long day out on the hills, the showers are amazing! Drying room to help dry any wet gear. Only 10-15 minutes from Brecon walks. Highly recommended.

From the booking to arrival and helping us to get a table at the pub opposite Emma couldn’t do enough for us. We were a group of 8 with 5 vehicles as we all come from different parts of the country Emma was helpful managing the car parking to ensure that all guests were offered parking in the two car parks available The accommodation was clean, cozy and well equipped. It was easy to find equipment in the kitchen as it was labelled well, fridges weee large enough to store all guests food and the kitchen worked well for multiple guitars It was a very relaxing stay and we will definitely return Thank you Emma

What a FANTASTIC place. EXACTLY what you will need. All provisions accounted for, EXCEPTIONALLY clean and well managed. Bloody fantastic prices. I won't consider anywhere else now for this region. P.S. super comfy beds!!! P.S. Ran by a really decent couple and the lady at least, gave us 10years of her time in the British Army so, from one soldier to another, thankyou for your service.

Really nice place with linen provided something you don't normally get and there's a pub over the road

I always make an annual Winter sojourn to Bannau Brycheiniog and this was the first time I stayed here. It was fab! I was doing a series of charity walks in the Black Mountain range, including once I could do straight from the Hostel! Emma was very nice and welcoming, the kitchen was spotless and well kitted out, and the wifi worked well so I could download maps and upload photos at the end of my Walks! :) There was even a lovely log fire in the sitting room on a chilly night. This will be my new base when I visit the Brecon Beacons!

Stayed during Covid and the measures Emma & Peter put in place were second to none. Really good people who obviously care a lot about their guests and Bunkhouse. Communication was excellent and so was my stay. I used the Bunkhouse as a base to run the Beacons which worked out really well. It's clean, great shower, clean rooms, comfortable bed and the kitchen has everything you need to eat in. The New Inn is across the road and a great pub for a pint and/or food. Again, really nice owners who went above and beyond.
