Sophie was very helpful and accommodating from start to finish. We stayed in the Captain's Cabin apartment and honestly coudn't have asked for any more than was provided. The quality of the apartment's finish was oustanding and luxurious! Absolutely first class. The peaceful and 'on the beach' location is perfect and very relaxing. We will definitely be back - thank you so much!

We had an amazing relaxing 3 night stay at the Beach Escapes. We previously stayed when it was the Bed and Breakfast and were very impressed with the conversion to self contained apartments. Sophie was the perfect host. The accommodation was fitted out to a high standard and the rooms were all very clean with amazing sea views. There was a lovely welcome pack on arrival including eggs, croissants, butter etc. Will definitely stay again!

We did stay for two nights in The Beach Escapes -at the Gull's Rest-apartment and did love this flat. It was just perfect for our stop-over before taking the LeShuttle/Eurotrain on our way back home. For sure we will book this property again when being back in the UK

My husband and I were thrilled to be the first visitors and we were made very welcome. We were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary at the end of April 2022. The apartments are built to a very high standard. It is a perfect location for exploring the lovely town of Hythe and surrounding areas. We really enjoyed our weekend away and wouldn't hesitate in recommending The Beach Escapes.

We have just returned from a three night stay at the Beach Escapes, where we stayed in the Gulls Rest apartment. It was immaculate, had everything we needed and the direct access to the promenade was great. We would definitely stay there again.

Lovely well appointed and well equipped flat, definitely a home from home. Location is excellent, right on the beach and a short walk to town. We will definitely be back when the weather is better.

We stayed at the Beach Escapes in November & needed an accessible apartment. Stones Throw was beautiful, suitable for an older person with reduced mobility and ideal in its location. A minor issue with a window was sorted for us very quickly and we enjoyed our time there. Proximity to the beach was great. Would definitely stay there again and out of season meant fewer people around making it easier for us to explore the region. Wonderful thank you.

A most enjoyable 3 night stay in the Captain's Cabin apartment. Extremely well equipped; comfy bed; top quality towels and wonderful location. A bonus to have a private, designated parking space. Great attention to detail throughout.

Absolutely amazing! We loved our stayed at the beach escapes! Sophie has thought of every last detail to make your trip easy..and feel like home from home. The kitchen is very well equipped at clean, with a lovely welcome Basket with croissants and eggs. The stocked communal pantry is such a lovely touch with wine, beers soft drinks, spices, condiments ect all for a small honesty donation to save you having to nip to the shops. We loved grabbing a cold wine on arrival whilst ours was chilling in the fridge. Lots of great recommendations of things to do, we ran down the canal with our running buggy to unit one great Ale and pizza, and ran to Sandgate for coffee. Lovely breakfast at the lazy shack, it really was the perfect get away. We enjoyed evenings on the terrace looking out to sea. Heaven! Thank you we will be back! Tilly, Steve and Airlie

In the modern world, wonderful to find a place that does what it says on the tin! Luxury holiday apartments with direct beach access. Everything functions as it should and all manner of additional facilities are included. The family-orientated hosts' years of experience come to the fore with Sophie being both professional and friendly. The details have been thought through so you can have a leisurely stay - remaining at The Beach Escapes and enjoying watching the world go by (it does, frequently promenading past), or, using it as a base to explore the magnificent South (East) coast. Nothing less than five stars.

My husband, parents & baby daughter thoroughly enjoyed our stay at beach escapes. We had 2 apartments and were able to connect them with the interconnecting door. The team at Beach Escapes made check in / out extremely easy with easy instructions and emails in the run up to the stay. The apartments themselves felt like a home from home, cosy & with all the amenities we would need. We loved the honesty fridge & pantry and the thoughtfulness of having basics (and some goodies) in the fridge & apartment on arrival! The Beach Escapes was the perfect location with private parking and easy access to promenade / beach! We will certainly keep this in our back pocket as a place to stay if we are ever in the area again! Thank you to the Durrants & The Beach Escape team!

We had a delightful stay at The Beach Escapes, in the Captains Cabin which was perfect for three of us. We checked in late on our first night, and the sofa bed had been made up and was ready as requested. The apartment is perfectly equipped and beautifully presented with all of the details thought through. It’s located directly on the main beach parade and has its own patio space, but is also secure with the electronic coded doors. We used the kitchen one night which was fully equipped, and the addition of the on-site pantry meant we weren’t left wanting for anything. The only downside was we couldn’t stay longer! We were visiting family who have moved to Hythe recently and will be highly recommending to other friends and family looking for somewhere to stay.

We stayed in the Captain's Cabin at the Beach Escapes for 3 nights early August. The location is amazing, right on the promenade/seafront. The apartment was lovely - beautifully decorated and well equipped. Would definitely like to stay again!

We are just back from a relaxing and chilled time staying at The Beach Escapes. We stayed in Gulls Rest - myself, mum & sister. Apartment was immaculate and plenty of space even with the sofa bed up. It was ideally located, had everything you would need and more, very comfortable and the deck at the front was great for mum to sit and people watch. As for the pantry an amazing idea 😊. We look forward to coming back very soon 😊

Beach Escapes would have to be the most welcoming place we have ever stayed. We are Australians and travel extensively. Little touches make you feel welcome and at a home away from home. The apartment is well provided with everything and more that you need. It is an easy drive to many attractions including Dover Castle and Canterbury Cathedral. We would happily stay here again. Highly recommended. 😁😁

This was our second visit and equally as enjoyable as the first. The apartment was clean and well equipped it even has a Nespresso machine. Sophie & Jon provided an excellent welcome pack to help get the holiday started. There is an allocated parking space for each apartment which makes arrival a whole lot easier. In fact they have thought of everything that one may need on a short break. The outside seating areas are well kept and there is easy access to the promenade and beach. Hythe town centre is a ten minute walk with many interesting shops and a Waitrose Supermarket. This is a superb venue with character and charm, run by a family that care about their guests.

From start to finish, the booking, the lovely information documents, the kind welcome gifts & quality & location of Admirals Deck has been outstanding. Sitting on the balcony gazing at the sea - wonderful.

Sophie and her team have got this offer 'spot on'! It is beautifully maintained, well located and the attention to detail is superb! We would thoroughly recommend the property. The only problem is that if we do this, then it will not be available for a repeat booking from us; which we will undoubtedly do! We cannot wait for our next visit!

Amazing place and amazing host! The quality of the accomodation is fab - clean and stylish. Everything you need for a short break. The hospitality cupboard was a godsend when we arrived later than expected. Such a good idea - I hope that everyone respects the honesty box. We had a wonderful walk along the front all the way to folkestone and visited the harbour arm and local area. Well worth doing and Hythe itself is a pretty for an afternoon stroll up the hill. The accommodation is wonderful. Very tastefully decorated, the kitchen is well equipped and location stunning. We walked from our apartment straight onto the beach. The owners have gone out of their way to ensure attention to detail. The welcome hamper was amazing. We was sorry to be leaving Perfect Room. The layout was fantastic with a great little space for our dog - even treats and dog bags were there if we needed. Not to mention a lovely dog bed.

My partner and I had a lovely 5 day break in Captain's Cabin in July this year. The apartment was very well laid out with every need catered for and the location is unbeatable. We spent many a relaxing hour sipping wine on the patio watching the world go by and listening to the relaxing sound of the sea. Taking a dip could not have been easier. There is a Waitrose within a very pleasant 5 minute walk along the military canal and the town is equally close. There are also very easy promenade walks to Sandgate and on to Folkestone. A perfect spot and a lovely apartment, we definitely plan to go back.

You will not find a better host than Sophie, I texted Sophie Friday morning to see if she has any availability, all our plans for my hubby’s birthday had to changed over night due to the queen passing. ( was going to London but we knew it was going to be rammed even more than normal ). Sophie message me back explaining it was her wedding anniversary and that she had taken the bookings offline as she wanted to have a night away, but she understood why I had cancelled London and offered to open up one of the apartments for us and sent me a link to which one I could pick from. I was over the moon, I had found this place on tick tok after I booked London and really wanted to come here and it was on my list of places to visit. Sophie also allowed us to book just 2 nights on this occasion, as we had work Monday and it wasn’t meant to be booked again truly grateful. We stayed in the admiral deck the penthouse, it is faultless. On arrival we was greeted with a welcome hamper of goodies, a birthday card for my hubby and a bottle of bubbles. ( again above and beyond ) The decor is so cute and just works all together, you can see the love that has gone in to making this feel like a home. The honest panty is a brilliant idea and this is the first holiday home I’ve stayed in Where I’ve just packed my clothes and went. Everything you need has either been provided or in the honest panty. The welcome book is filled with wonderful ideas. Most definitely go to the lazy shack for their famous scallops and bacon it was so good. We took long walks, had a wonderful time drinking and eaten, listen to music while sat on the top deck listen to the sea smash up against the stones. We explored Hythe and Folkestone and took a lot of ideas from the welcome book on what to do and places to eat. A must is MARLEYS in Folkestone the owners mark and Charley are lovely and so friendly. We had a wonderful meal here and chats. In the apartment the bed is huge and so comfortable, the space in this apartment is well thought out. Beach towels and bath towels provided. Everything you need to cook with is provided. Smart tv and Alexa also in the apartment free wifi and it’s really good never dropped out once. It truly is faultless, Sophie also message us the next day to make sure we had all we needed and that we was okay. I loved the binoculars ( heavy to hold ) but what a great idea to look out as far as you can though them was really fun. I’m so grateful for Sophie and all that she did and her beautiful beach apartment. Myself and hubby truly had a wonderful time and was so grateful not to be in London but by the sea. The sun shined all weekend as well.

Amazing place to stay in, extremely clean and very well designed apartment.We stayed in the captain apartment which had full sea view and direct access to the beach.The kitchen is fully equipped as if you are at your own home.There is a sharing pantry where you can use spices, seasoning , dressings,cooking oil etc. We also enjoyed barbeque in the outside sitting area.They actually had a box with charcoal,barbeque sticks ready for use. Also there is a cabinet filled with magazines, children story books and games like cards , monopoly ,chest.They thought of every thing to make also free parking space. Highly recommended it is better than a 5 star hotel with a sea view.

Excellent and very comfortable well eqipped self catering accommodation on Hythe seafront. Amazing views, easy walking to town, local cafes and restaurants close by. Good parking and excellent facilities and very secure. The owners have thought of everything. Quiet location.

Dear Sophie and Jon I wanted to put pen to paper to thank you for such a wonderful stay at your incredibly lovely apartment. It was far bigger than we had expected and decorated to such a high standard. Absolutely beautiful throughout. Having the large bedroom, two loos and a double sofa bed worked out really well as a family space and the corridor divides the rooms nicely. Lots of of natural light as well. The two decks were perfect to sit out and lovely for the dogs; and so very private. Amazing to be able to walk straight up onto the beach promenade from our deck! The kitchen had everything we could have needed. Your kind hamper such a nice touch. And it was fantastic we could raid the larder with the honesty box for extras we had forgotten like marmite etc! First class accommodation, position and excellent welcome basket with plentiful breakfast items. Lovely friendly hosts. Only one very very minor gripe is that we would have appreciated a teapot and finer china mugs or cups. Would thoroughly recommend the accommodation to friends and family.
