Attended a wedding at the venue. The staff were warm and welcoming upon arrival. The room was clean and good size although we found a pair of socks left in the bathroom from the perilous guest. The wedding was amazing and the staff at the hotel went the extra mile for the couple and their guests. The breakfast both days was tasty and a good variety of choice. Unfortunately on the first morning when we sat down we had to ask for cutlery and team member told us there were no knives and on the second day there was no bread available at 10.30am. Overall a wonderful hotel with lovely grounds.

The Best Wedding Venue Ever... We got married here on 28th October 2023 and from the moment we booked the venue to the wedding day the service we received from Kay and all the staff was outstanding. From the 1st meeting with our wedding coordinator Kay we were treated like nothing was too much trouble and the advice Kay gave us was 1st class. The venue is perfect for a wedding,We had rooms booked for the wedding night for family and friends at a very good price and everyone commented on how lovely the hotel was. On the wedding day the staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble,We talked to Kay about timing on the day and they were perfect. The meals were amazing and the service was 1st class too.Everyone commented on how much they enjoyed the meals(and how big they were too) In the evening Taylor took over and was the perfect host,The in-house DJ was 1st class, and played the music we asked for. If your looking for a venue for your wedding we would highly recommend The Southcrest Manor Hotel. Thank you again for making our Wedding Day the perfect day. Mr & Mrs Moore.

The room we had was very dirty. The was a number of cobwebs and spiders which indicate that the room hadn’t been cleaned for a while. Asked for a member of staff to come and check our room and get rid of said cobwebs and at the time we only noticed 1 spider however later on we did find a further 2. The manager that came up said that “the cleaning staff must have wanted an early finish on a Saturday” other than that there was no apology. We then we’re rushed down to dinner “not to miss your reservation as the restaurant is busy” we went down and it was not busy at all. Plenty of tables. We were told while we were at dinner it would be sorted however when we went back only one cobweb was gone. The dinner however was lovely and restaurant staff. Especially “Latisha” I think from her name badge we’re very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed the meal however we’re very confused and mislead by the dinner allocation. We booked a 3 course meal however we’re told there is a £25 pp allocation and anything else is chargeable which is why we paid a £20 deposit on checkin. The menu prices made it impossible to have 3 courses at £25 therefore we only had 2 courses and a side each. I feel it would be of better advertising if this was explained during booking. We also were disappointed as were told on booking that we would have “best available room” we hope this isn’t the case as we’re very disappointed by the room due to cleanliness and the view being of the bin shed. Overall we don’t feel this hotel was value for money and we’re reasonably disappointed therefore unfortunately we wouldn’t return.

Enjoyed my stay. Room comfortable, like that hotel has a bit of character, lovely bar area and dinner and breakfast was good. Taxi booked, turned up, front desk and bar staff friendly, no complaints and would book again. Location was ideal but I had meetings in Redditch. Grounds looked good but arrived at night and left early.

Booked in for the indulgence day, the treatments and beauticians were excellent, however the relaxation room was once a bedroom and 2 sofas were put in there, 2 empty glasses were left there the whole time we were there, tea, coffee and water were not topped up, had to request a jug of cold water. The changing rooms were very dated, one old shower the water did not drain, had to switch shower off before shower tray over flowed. No where to get dressed in private. Robes were clean but very old and tatty. The Laura Ashley afternoon tea was very nice, when it eventually arrived, had to ask in reception for service, the tables hadn't been cleared or set up for the next customer I'm afraid I wont be rushing back there

I had such a lovely stay a couple of nights ago. The room and bed were so comfy, cleanliness was 10/10 and the staff couldn't have been any more amazing. On top of that, I was gobsmacked at the room service menu - it was the best I had ever seen at a hotel! Considering the price, I could not have been more pleasantly surprised. Will definitely be staying here again!

Stayed here for my wedding night and even prefaced this to the staff upon booking, we called 3 times before the day to try and confirm details but was sent to voicemail every time. Beds were uncomfortable and basic and the only redeeming feature was the bathroom... very disappointing considering we had a 'supreme' room We weren't looked after or made to feel special... would recommend finding another place to stay... I think a premier Inn would be a better stay, shame that the beautiful garden has to be attached to this hotel

Spa facilities closed - this was not stated at time of booking or in communication from hotel so we all went expecting to use these. Room appeared clean but had a strong musty/ mouldy smell. Pros - free parking, friendly staff, good breakfast, lovely gardens, good room size. Overall would have been a great stay if spa facilities were open- this should have been advised prior to booking as we specifically booked somewhere with a spa

Very nice hotel, our room was clean, warm and welcoming, the bed was very comfortable and we had a good nights sleep, all the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. The hotel is in a quiet location.

Sadly, the photos online are 5*, however the service and state of the hotel are 1*. It's such a beautiful building, in a stunning location, but the upkeep of the rooms is non existent. The evening meal was delicious, however the staff need some training on service and removing of dishes once drinks and food are finished. This just ruined the beautiful food. Being served sachets of tomato sauce seemed cheap and added to the low quality of the hotel. Such a pity as this place could be beautiful. Staff were friendly, just lacked service skills.

Hotel staff were pleasant the entire time, so I can not fault that at all. Unfortunately, that is where it ends. Paid £124 for superior room for 1 night, walked in, and room was overlooking large garbage storage area. No AC, and when you opened the window, all you got was old oil smell and garbage smell. The mirror looked like it hadn't been cleaned in about a month. Sink had a fresh mushy wet soapy ring, which was nasty. When we left in the morning the lady behind the desk was polite and kind and did refund us 50% which was kind however even at 50%, i would not have stayed there had I known what I was in for.

The staff there were friendly, especially the health club ladies. Treatments were great and we were able to use the hot tub for longer as it was free most of the time we were there. However, the cleanliness of the whole manor, was awful. There were dead flies and insects everywhere. The staircase looked as if it hadn’t been hoovered for months and months, the furniture was dirty and so the outside area needed a clean too. We were unable to use the showers because they weren’t very clean either. We enjoyed the afternoon tea, up until we found a hair on not one, but two of the pastries on separate trays. The waiter took them off us but we were not reimbursed for any of them. We left pretty soon after. One of the bar staff, named Alex was extremely helpful in the morning and looked after us really well which we were grateful for. Don’t think we’d come again.

The Riverside Cabin Retreat was a hidden gem along the babbling river. The sound of the water was the perfect backdrop for a weekend of relaxation. The cabin was well-equipped and cozy, and the hosts were incredibly welcoming. They even provided us with fishing gear to try our luck in the river. It's a spot we'll return to for sure.

Thank you to Chis Osborne and the wonderful staff you made me feel so special for my 70th birthday party at this lovely venue. Everything was absolutely perfect and also the food was delicious I had so many compliments. You all did me proud and you deserve 10 out 10. Thank you once again Lina.

Location beautiful, however, I live local and went There to sleep, nothing more nothing less, basic room but suited my needs however, the pillows were flat and hard, even the one spare, so did I sleep ? No !! I ended up frustrated and getting Up and dressed at 3am to go and ask Then to find a softer pillow, the gent on reception was lovely and after Searching a few rooms found a softer one, it was gone 5am before I fell asleep, having a different choice of pillow as a spare could have avoided this albeit the bad wasn’t the comfiest. So I’m short this stay was Total waste of time and completely defeated The object of me not staying home that night. Next time I’ll be staying at a premier inn where I’m guaranteed a decent night sleep

We had my mother's 80th birthday here in the Terry Suite, it's a super room for private dining, and the views from the first floor are stunning. Food was extremely good and very large portion sizes. My only criticism with this room is as its on a first floor, there is no disabled access nor are there any toilets on that level. Which can be a little bit of an issue with elderly guests. However, we managed and had a super event. Thank you Team Southcrest you did a fab job!

Had an afternoon tea here for my wife's 30th birthday in the Laura Ashley tea rooms. Waitress was spot on, made it really special for her. Only downside is some very small parts of the decor is looking a bit dated and needs to be addressed quite soon otherwise it will start to taint the experience for people.

Lovely receptionist unfortunately had to give the news that they were now charging for parking which I thought was pretty bad. No mention when booking. The free upgrade to a Deluxe room wasn't really an upgrade compared to other hotels I've stayed at. All in all not overly impressed.

We had our company summer party at this place, and the service was very good and the facilities were nice, with a large outdoors area, with picnic tables, and a comfortable lounge and a room to eat indoors too.

Attended for my mother in laws wedding. Staff were absolutely amazing. Nothing was to much of a bother - room was absolutely lovely. Plenty of space. Good selection at breakfast! The gentleman who handled the wedding was outstanding! Helped in every possible way. Always checking if we was okay and if anything was needed! Definitely recommend to anyone who was thinking of booking😊

Went for afternoon tea at the Laura Ashley tearoom. Didn't stay, just visited. Price was good, we were happy with the quantity and quality of the food. The champagne pairing was looovely, really nice bottle of bubbly. We had one standard and one vegan set and they were both as good as the other. A nice setting in the tea room with a small, but well kept garden. No complaints.

The location and building are lovely, however, the staff service and cleanliness let this place down. breakfast tables have no table cloths, just pub style tables and tiny, I had to ask the staff on numerous occasions to clear away glasses, ask for salt, pepper, sauces even to set the table so we can eat. Breakfast was poor, who does not serve orange juice for a breakfast? Pillows were hard, water pressure extremely low and the carpets, well, they were in need of replacing. Overall cleanliness of the dining area and rooms was not great and this lovely building and location just lack some customer care and TLC.

Had a lovely stay, staff were fab and so helpful and friendly. Breakfast lovely. Just a couple of niggles kettle in room didn't work unless finger kept on button(I did report it) and shower not very good so didn't use it but at least had a bath which I loved. Rooms lovely, comfortable and warm.

The location is very nice, large wood surrounding the manor house that is also full of character. The room are quiet and clean, not very cosy but okay. Nice bathroom size. The breakfast is a little limited, good English, some choose of pastries but poor on yogurt fruit and cereal (fruit salad present just one day).

Rooms are clean and spacious could do with a light by the wardrobe. Breakfast was divine great selection crispy hash browns, good quality produce. Did request a lower floor when booking but got upstairs and furthest room away.

A lovely hotel, but the spa treatment we received from Rachel was AMAZING! She took so much time and attention to myself and my girlfriend whilst we were there, we both felt like new born babies after our treatments. We felt super relaxed, she was so friendly and lovely we had the best afternoon with her unwinding, painting our nails (and yes, she indulged me in painting mine too - they look freaking awesome!)😂would 100% come back and recommend! P.S. have a lush time in New Zealand!

Nice hotel and friendly staff. Room prices are very competitive the beer prices not so.. our room was clean and beds are comfortable. There were weddings on the Friday and Saturday night. They looked like they had been arranged really well and the guests looked also pleased.

Lovely hotel! It was absolutely gorgeous and had nice views of the gardens and surrounding nature. Room was clean, shower was modern and had good water pressure. I managed to forget a valuable and called them up and they found it and kindly sent it to the post office to be sent to me on the same day. Great customer service! Would recommend.

Lovely place to stay. Amazing stately garden. Breakfast is very good. Staff are young. Managers don't say 'hi' or 'good morning' and faces are sour. Comfortable beds, slept like a new born baby. House keepers are friendly and accommodating. Good parking and very close to Town Centre (walking distance) to access retail shops. The Weatherspoon is very good and priced well with a mixed age demographics.
