Love, love, love this attraction!! Highly recommended! This was amazing! It was so much better than I expected. Leave a good 2hrs for the safari alone. Loads of animals, we got some amazing pictures, we bought the guide book which I would recommend doing if you are driving around yourselves. The park is huge and loads of shops and places to eat. We went before Christmas where they had the light shows and the light arches, cold but worth it! They even had snow for the kids. Leave a whole day to visit here, you will really need it. Great for adults and kids alike! X

We went for the annual Christmas New Year Light show (4th time) which was well up to standard. Despite the onset of torrential rain in the afternoon we did the safari drive earlier in the day and had some great up close and personal encounters as the animals were generally less sleepy than when the weather is sunny...or so it seemed 😉

Fun day out at Longleat. Little proxy but the light show was very good, and got to see a few animals also. Some bits around park looking a bit tired. Went for a tour of the house which was interesting, and the guide was very good.

Apart from the overpriced cost of an entry ticket, we did have an amazing day! The safari drive was so good. We loved the monkeys jumping on our car. They behaved too and didn't pull anything off. The lions were very impressive, and the Rhinos too. You can drive around the safari area as many times as you like so you can get to see your favourites lots! The food queues were insane. We were so thankful we took a packed lunch, and we only had to queue for an ice cream. We went when the "sky safari" was on so the park closed at 8.30pm, we stayed till 8pm. It was fantastic! Top tip.... Don't forget to fill up your car with petrol/diesel. We got caught short, but we were able to leave the park to fill up and return, showing our receipt.

Longleat, what can I say. This is a beautiful place and a fantastic day out for the family, there's lots today and may not do it all in one trip. I would recommend getting there when the park opens as you can walk the grounds and do the zoo plus rides ect.. then go to your time slot for the Safari. Plenty of places to eat with lots of picnic benches. Lots of fun to have here and if you are thinking about going do it, you won't regret it.

Well worth the visit absolutely beautiful surroundings, fantastic range of well looked after animals staff very helpful and friendly. Reasonable cost. Expensive if a family so would advise a picnic. Brilliant day out for all the family. Do not miss the Manor awesome I loved it.

The light show is amazing, this is a must see. Yes it was cold and wet, and the animals were a bit sparse, but we went to see the light and were not disappointed, you can ignore the weather just take some wellies, warm clothing and enjoy, we went round the park on the bus, the tour is a laugh and you skip the queues. Plenty of overpriced food and drink on offer but who cares, a fun day out more than compensates 10/10

Longleat is a great all round experience, it's well run, and the animals are well looked after. It was great to see the big cats all out posing for the camera and feeding the deer was fun. Unfortunately the house isn't open to the public but there is plenty to keep you occupied during your visit.

Not many animals as expected. Still safari good. Peaceful place to drive through. Kids enjoyed. Maze is really good. We got lost in it for sometime 😃. There is a castle play area which is good. Splash pool is available. We went on hot air balloon event which is awesome. Some fireworks in the air. And music band is really good. My kid danced well for that music. A good place.

Exceeded my expectations!! Excellent family say out. Loved interactive element eg boat trip to feed sea lions & feeding parakeets. We went for festival of lights which was impressive!! We will have to go again as so much to see & do. Great places to eat & grab snacks/lunch etc too. Highly recommend.

A great place for young kids and animal lovers. Would recommend morning slots as the animals are much active then. Also try visiting the park during the feeding time for the big cats which we were told is on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The place is huge so it's better to reach early to cover all the things rather than rushing. It has everything to keep your whole day occupied and more. Overall it's a money well spent.

We come each year to see the animals and the festival of lights. Loads to see and do. Really good animal talks on the hour that run throughout the day. As with all things, it can be best to book certain rides like the santa train. Highly recommended for all ages.

Wonderful place for the whole family! So much to see and do. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone with small and bigger children! Loads of animals through the safari to enjoy and look at. My only recommendation would be to book a 2 day ticket if it's your first time so you can properly enjoy and appreciate everything. Also, the winter wonderland is the best we've ever been to and the lantern trail they do every year is incredible!

We visit Longleat every year for the Festival of Light as part of our family Christmas tradition. The experience is absolutely magical for my 2 young children, it's not cheap but honestly worth every penny. The kids enjoy the opportunity to feed the animals (deer, sea lions, lorakeets) and of course the lights are amazing!

Excellent day. Very well organised. Did tour of House also well worth the extra ticket. Fabulous lights. First time we've been, would definitely go again

We had such an amazing day at Longleat. We decided not to stay over so we drove there and back in 6 hours 😒 with 2 young children. But the safari made up for it. We saw so many animals and our favourite was the monkeys climbing on our car which my babies loved and the tiger. The outdoor play is amazing. I mean you have a castle!!! We could have spent the day in the playground 😅 overall staff are very friendly and clearly care about the animals. It was lovely to see the camels interact with the keepers and being playful with them. We had fish and chips and later on fast food from the stalls and everything was fine. I would definitely recommend Longleat

My first visit to Longleat and it was absolutely incredible. There is so much to see and do. There is plenty of parking available on-site lots of toilets and and places to eat and drink plus picnic areas to eat your own food. The prices in the restaurants aren't too bad, and the shops are well priced. I would give at least 2 hours for the drive-through Safari also there is a stop off on the way where you can get out and see the giraffes and zebras up close and some lemurs. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. The highlight for the day for me was going on the boat ride I would suggest doing this first as I have done it in the afternoon and morning and the morning I found was better I saw the hippos said the seals and the majority of the gorillas were out on their Island. The train ride I found a little boring, would be better if there was some commentary. Overall an amazing day for the money. I loved it so much I upgraded to a season pass!

I have been twice to that place. Kids and I really enjoyed it. But I think first time I went was slightly better as it's seem that I saw more animals. Couldn't not see a peacock this time. Also it was quite long queue for entering the park, doing the jungle cruise, train or attraction. Toilet are also quite small, difficult to keep safe distance from others inside the premise. Garden was beautiful. Animals seem happy and well looked after.

Amazing safari. The animals look so happy and healthy. The enclosures are massive and welfare of the animals is clearly high priority. Plenty of food and drink locations. Lots of bins and toilets placed around the park. Would definitely recommend and return again!

Great family day out seeing the animals within there enclosures. Would recommend the Festival of Lights. Make sure your phone/ camera is fully charged because the fabulous pictures you'll come back with will be immense 🤩. Wear comfortable shoes you are awilling to get muddy in the rain! The whole site takes card payments Only.

We went to see the Festival of lights. We bought the day tickets, but not safari. So we could have turned up from 11, which would have been better, than us turning up at 16.00 like we did. It was shame as most of the animals enclosures were closing. The light trail was crazy busy. It was brilliant though. Varied ages of kids.. 19-5 and they all enjoyed it. Very expensive, so would definitely go earlier another time, and perhaps pay the extra to do the safari. Various food outlets on site. All in all a good experience with friendly staff.

What a day out! Bit of a pain to find using Apple navigation 😂🙄 my partners fault for having an iPhone! Long old queues to get into the safari but great to see the animals in so much space. The monkeys trashed the car but we got fair warning, and it's a cheap fix luckily. That part is optional so if you've got a nice car you can dodge it! Giraffe feeding was so much fun, and wandering round the small animal section was both informative and didn't feel like the animals were 'trapped'. Actually having the meerkats running round your feet was a different touch that I haven't seen before. The boat trip was fantastic, the guide was incredibly knowledge and made the experience informative, educational, and most importantly great fun. Unfortunately the house was shut and some of the features were not available due to some kind of virus 🤔😒 things are slowly opening up there so hopefully for our next visit everything will be up and running. Overall an amazing day out, the only boring bit was the queues, filled the entire day and we slept well that night! Absolutely going again, might try to monkeyproof the car next time though 🙈

We had a great visit, really enjoyed the Safari, boat ride, animal enclosures and gardens. Amenities were very good. The house looks beautiful but we were very disappointed that we could not go in the house. The Train was not in service. Still very much worth a visit.

Great family day out. There is ample free parking. The park has lots to do and see such as train ride, boat lake ride and a maze. There is also the safari drive. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants throughout the park.

A great place for a day trip or couple of days camping. We went to most of the safari parks in the UK except this was longing to get her for a long time. Situated in acres of land a massive place. The place very clean and looked after. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Went in the school holidays 2021 and was super crowded. Number of animals and variety of animals are less here when compared with others and bit expensive tickets as well. The childrens park and the grass maze was amazing. There are many beautiful scenic locations and the castle in the middle is cherry on the cake.

What an amazing place. Staff were fantastic too. First experience was the monkey enclosure. Our car was somewhat targeted as per the photo! The staff were great and retrieved our brake light and even cleaned it before returning it! The signs are right! But kids enjoyed the fun and we had some lovely footprints on the windscreen! The rest of the Safari was incredible. Upclose encounters and fun had by all. The house continued this. All activities included in the price. Our highlight at the house was the river cruise. Amazing to see hippos, sea lions, colobus monkeys and the gorillas. The staff really did make the trip! So helpful, friendly and engaging all day The animals are so well cared for and look beautiful. Highly recommend!

Really great place that let's you get really close to really content and well looked after animals. The jungle cruise is great and the guy we had commentating was very entertaining and full of information. The playful sea lions were lovely to see. The park area didn't seem overly busy so waiting was minimal. The safari is great with some of the animals being very inquisitive and walking right up to the car.

Thank you so much for the most magical day. The staff are amazing, the animals incredible and the experience was the best we have been to. There is so much interaction with the animals rather than just looking through a glass window. The food was nice in the cafes, there is plenty to do all included in the price. And the whole place is absolutely stunning!

A day that never disappoints, normally we visit for the Christmas lights, but this year we thought we would add an extra “warm” visit and we were not disappointed. Great for the whole family however I went with our parents in law, chose to use our car, thus no monkeys! I would recommend using someone else’s vehicle or the garage courtesy car to enjoy this part of the trail!

The best day out for all ages. I cannot express how amazing it is to visit Longleat Safari. I used to go often when I was little and this year decided I wanted to go back. Wow, it really didn’t disappoint. The animals are just incredible and so well looked after. I was really lucky and was able to feed the giraffes, it was an experience I will never forget. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and all the staff are so helpful and friendly! This is a perfect day out for kids or couples, even in large groups. 10/10 recommend this trip to anyone.

Enjoyed a VIP giraffe experience as a gift from family. Grandsons fed the sea lions from the boat and we all enjoyed feeding the lorikeets. Will go back later in the year to view the house & for the boys to try their hand at the maze!! Unfortunately lost our car windscreen wash jets to the monkeys, so be warned. If you want your car in 1 piece maybe jump the monkeys 😂😂

My partner and I visit at least once a year and this year was our first time seeing the balloon festival in the summer which was absolutely surreal! Loved it. We also did the ant eater experience which was just amazing. There is also an opportunity to feed birds within the park (no booking needed) which is really cute and I became particularly attached to one with a broken beak. We did the festival of lights last year which was a really nice winter attraction that we'd love to do again this year!

  • 5/5 Hayley W. 2 years ago on Google
An amazing day out for the family. I would definitely recommend it. Sadly the house was still closed following covid regulations but we still had plenty to see and do. The bird show was one of my favourites. The trainer was very knowledgeable and super patient with a noisy audience. Our ultimate favourite was the safari but be careful when driving through the monkey enclosure. We did return home with some of our car fixtures pulled off. But there is an option to miss this enclosure if you would prefer to.

Any place that helps preserve nature deserves five stars in my book. The river safari was brilliant, the drive through safari is an amazing experience that I will never forget. My only moan about the day was the fact they did not provide hand out maps, I was told that there was WiFi and I could download the longleat app but this was not the case. The mobile signal was very poor and even though I took a picture of the map on my phone it drained the battery and it meant I couldn't take as many pictures as I wanted to remember the day. The animals were first class, the technology not so hot.

Visited twice since April with the annual pass and its been fantastic both times, even in cold wet weather. Safari offers fantastic views of the animals, and the only i haven't seen thus far are the hyenas. On the boat ride I saw the Gorilla's, Hippo's, Colobus Monkeys and of course the Sea lions. There is also a lot to see in the main square area on foot, such as Koalas, wombats and the tropical House. Lots of places to eat drink and rest. Great day out.

  • 4/5 Ken P. 2 years ago on Google
We had a great day out at Longleat, it was well worth the cost. The drive through safari was the highlight of the trip and it was amazing to feed a wild deer off our bare hands! Food was a bit of a letdown with extremely long queues and not very competent staff who were getting orders for a lot of people wrong.

Best Safari/animal park I’ve ever been to. Simple as that. Amazing & would thoroughly recommend you pay the extra & buy a 2 day ticket. You’ll probably need it to see everything.

Beautifully kept gardens. It's a nice place to spend the day looking around and learning about it's history. They also make condiments and biscuits for you to buy in the gift shop.

  • 3/5 Lisa D. 2 years ago on Google
We only saw a few animals on the safari, not as big as we thought, lions were very distant or in encloseures. They all looked like they had just been fed or just fed up! The house, grounds and gardens are lovely but overall disappointing unfortunately and not a cheap experience.

  • 5/5 Andrew F. 2 years ago on Google
Very good safari park. Things to do for all ages. Didn't have time to do all of it as traffic was bad with diversions. So I would recommend setting off early lol. But all round a good day out

Had a great day, easily the best Safari park I've been too so far. The pesky Monkeys tried to remove some trim from the car, would recommend a visit

  • 5/5 Amanda L. 2 years ago on Google
We loved Longleat Safari Park, house and gardens. We had afternoon tea 🍵 in the Orangery which was delightful and had a lovely view of the gardens. There is a good variety of animals to see in both the Safari and walking around the Park afterwards. The house and grounds are very impressive. The Koalas 🐨 were our favourite! We had great views of the tigers, lions, giraffes and monkeys in the Safari too. The maze was good fun. Would definitely return one day and would recommend it as it was a great day out.

  • 5/5 Dan C. 2 years ago on Google
Excellent day out, safari seemed very busy at our chosen time but was great fun. Managed to have a good look around some of the attractions but ran out of time to see everything. Will definitely have to re-visit soon.

An absolutely brilliant day. Exceptional staff. My daughter misplaced her Teddy and the staff where so helpful and managing to find it for her!! Both my children thoroughly enjoyed they're day. Shame I couldn't get a refund on the two adult tickets for the santa train because of being 5 minutes late :( shame. But day enjoyed anyway.

  • 5/5 Graham B. 2 years ago on Google
Probably the best time of year to visit. The park is quieter and the animals are a lot more active. Wrap up warm and enjoy a great day out.

  • 5/5 Scott A. 2 years ago on Google
An fantastic day out for everyone. We had a wonderful time at longleat safari and felt it was great value for what was on offer. The safari lasted long than expected. On the way in they have a small "African village" section where you can see Giraffes and even watch them being fed. They have a snack bar hear and toilets which I advise you use before going into the safari. Expect to be in the safari for at least an hour. We went between 12 and 2. It was very busy and we qued for 40 minutes to get into the monkeys section. Do not take your car if you will be unhappy it'll get damaged. The monkeys were amazing. There is a slip road to avoid the monkeys and still do the rest of the safari. Elephants, flamingos, lions, tigers and the list goes on. The boat tour is an absolute must. It was our favourite part and the tour guide/host was very knowledgeable and very funny. We were there 5 hours and didn't manage to do everything (missed the maze). Due to covid some parts are still closed and food options were very limited. Cues were large for the most popular attractions during the school holidays.

  • 4/5 Jomy S. 2 years ago on Google
This is the first time I went to the Longleat and it's 100 percent worth of visit. The Drive-thru safari park was so nice. Plenty of parking spaces are available and many Restaurants are available if you like to eat. Unfortunately, the railway and the castle are not open now. Other than these Longleat is a very good option for a day out with the family.

  • 5/5 Dawn C. 2 years ago on Google
Fantastic day out, the safari park was brilliant, the monkey drive through was very entertaining! The only downside was the house still closed. But this means we need a return visit once back open. 👍

The safari is an amazing experience. From monkeys jumping on your car, feeding the deer to close encounters with lions, they tick all the boxes. Every area of the park is a delight to discover ,especially for the young one's. You got a play area designed as an ancient castle,a great natural maze, you can feed the parrots or my favorite one,the boat trip where we laughed so much to last me for a few weeks. Definitely will come back next year as this place has so much to offer for half of the price you pay at Legoland, for example.

Longleat is a place everyone must visit at least once! It is definitely worth the money and you won't be able to see it all in 1 day. You will make memories and have an unforgettable experience. Something to take the whole family too. During the winter season, they made it extra special with all the lights and show they put on. The safari is about 2 hours from start and finish and worth to take your time as you drive around to see the animals. You won't get any other kind of opportunity to see them like this unless you go far to countries that offer a full-blown safari experience. There is plenty of parking so that won't be an issue. They have their own restaurant which served delicious food, we had fish and chips which in terms of price was okay and the quality and taste was great. Overall, great place, great time and I would happily come back again.

  • 4/5 Andi 5. 2 years ago on Google
A variety of animals to look at. There are the outdoor ones as well as smaller animals to view. The light show is great but loud. The lights around the site are worth seeing. This gets very crowded and they do have a one way system in some parts

Great experience, get there early. Opens at 10am, safari tour bus at 10.30. Don't go into the monkey enclosure in your own car unless you're happy to lose parking sensors, windscreen wipers, washer jets, tyre valve caps and your ariel. Take the safari bus and watch the carnage in comfort🤣🤣 Dave the bus driver is hilarious, great commentary all the way round, stops to let you take pictures and treats everyone on the bus like a VIP 😍

  • 5/5 Pete B. 2 years ago on Google
Fantastic place to take the kids. So much to do even after the drive through safari. The app worked great with this as gave audio commentary as we went through the different areas. Adds that's little extra to the exciting drive. Especially this time of year (December). Christmas lights turn on and light show was amazing! Was very misty and foggy when we went but that added something a little special when walking round at night with the place lit up

  • 4/5 George W. 2 years ago on Google
This Christmas at Longleat was ok but unfortunately many lights are recycled from previous years and are broken in places. The tree show is still good but the progressively failing lights put a dent in it. Unsurprisingly COVID has prevented the usual amazing cloth covered lights from being made. Still good but we look forward to it being amazing again.

  • 5/5 James M. 2 years ago on Google
We had a great time visiting over the Christmas break. We got here for around 10:30am and had no issues with parking or queues etc. There are loads of animals to see up close which the children loved. We did bypass the monkeys, didn't fancy sorting out the mess they were likely to cause 😄 All the facilities were up together and clean. The shops got very busy but had a lot of bits for gifts etc. We really enjoyed the boat ride to see the sea lions and gorillas, even if it was pretty cold. Definitely do this early doors as it gets really busy. We'd definitely come back here again, maybe in the summer.

Loved the light show. Santa was well organised with a train ride and personalised pressie for my young nephew. Hot chocolate for the adults was a nice touch. Too many cars in the safari though so the beginning was like being stuck on the M25 but just more scenic!

Absolutely spectacular display. The safari as always, was well organised and there was plenty to see. Lots to do for all ages. The light show was fantastic, it was lovely to re walk the park after dark with so much to see!

Amazing safari experience.. download the app before you go, app gives best commentary while driving through the safari.. it requires entire day to see and do everything at longleat, so plan well n reach early to do everything... best place for animal lovers, esp kids..

Wonderful zoo, great day out. There's a diverse menagerie on the safari tour, we especially loved the giraffes and monkeys. There are impressive predators too but they always are sleeping around midday when we are there. After the Safari the boat cruise is a must do. Lots of interesting animals and very fun tour guides. There is a few different food places here but I'd recommend bringing a picnic for the lovely grounds.

Overpriced tickets otherwise good for a family day out. Safari is worth the money if you are lucky enough to see the big cats up close but the chokablock drive through with the number of cars flowing through the park is definitely not helpful for any of the animals.

  • 5/5 Daniah T. 1 year ago on Google
It was a very nice experience, totally worth it especially for kids. You have to go there by car as there is no public transport and anyway the actual safari is with your car unless u hire a safari car from there. You see all kinds of animals even wild ones. It is very well organised and the highlight was the giraffes 😍😍

This was a big day out for us as we'd planned to visit to see the Koalas before covid. We weren't disappointed when we finally got there. We booked into the safari first and 2 hours later we'd seen loads of animals and had enjoyed our time in the car. The monkeys were very funny! The park itself has attractions for younger children but we saw a great bird show and animal show. The Koalas were great and the enthusiasm of the keepers was amazing. We were lucky enough to have James show us the Koalas and take time out of his day to make sure we got the best of our day. The food a drink is very well priced and the park is lovely and clean. The app was awful and didn't enhance our experience as it refused to work throughout our trip which felt like we were missing things. It was a great day out and well worth admission price

What an amazing day! It was not busy and we got to see everything the park had to offer. The animals were active, and so entertaining. Lovely clean environment that they are staying in, plenty of space. The monkeys had babies hanging off them all over the place which didn't stop them climbing all over the vehicles - I even forgave them for stealing my windscreen washer off my car!

We love Longleat!! This was the first time going with our 2yr old, and the first time to one of their events and, other than a few rainy showers, a great day was had by all!! We went on one of the Summer Party days, and, although our main reason for being there was to see the animals, it was nice to finish the day with some live music. I was a bit disappointed with the safari element this time, mainly because it was hot so the lions, tigers and wolves were just sleeping, whereas on previous visits, they have mooched around the cars, but also the elephant didn't seem to be there and neither did the hyenas. The monkeys were great fun though, although be prepared for them to rip things off your car!! We went on the train and boat trip as well. The train was great for our 2yr old but I wouldn't bother again. There's not much to see from it so a bit of a waste of the (slightly excessive) queuing time. The boat is always fun as you see the sea lions, hippo, gorillas and colobus monkeys. The sea lions had babies this time which was lovely! We ate at the music festival this time, which was nice and varied, but normally we eat in one of the restaurants or cafes. They have a good selection of main meals, but their selection of sandwiches etc could be improved (maybe with those kids boxes or something similar). Overall though, we had a great day!!

I visited Longleat on a Friday during term time and it was brilliant. I was bought a VIP pass to see the lions up close and personal and didn't disappoint! I fed every animal I could, that being giraffes, parakeets, sea lions, deer and the local ducks. Every single worker was so enthusiastic about any questions I had, and they love questions. Enjoy the pictures and videos!

Amazing place, plenty to see and do. Went during term time and entrance was a breeze. Straight to feeding the giraffes, simple queue & small payment for some willow treats. Train and lake boat trip great and safari tops a great day! Kids loved feeding the californian sea lions and seeing the silver back gorilla's and the hippo. Great memories

It was an awesome experience. So many different kinds of animals. Some animals like the lions, giraffes, zebra, deer (the deer I actually fed them) ostriches were left loose like in their natural habitat. It was lovely watching them. We were of course in our car. Animals were well cared for...Given another chance I would definitely love to go there again.

Words are not to describe how special this place is! The team at the park are so lovely, knowledgeable and helpful! The animals are amazing and of course the Safari park is just out of this world. I loved seeing Anne and sharing that she was saved from the circus. The sea lions are so so wonderful and the gorillas. If anyone has a chance to visit, certainly do so!

  • 5/5 Chris W. 11 months ago on Google
Loved our day in Longleat. I haven’t been for many years, and they’ve really made an effort to improve things, refine the experience etc. We went on a weekday in term time, which was joyous as no children screaming and so very tranquil experience throughout.

Amazing place to be around nature and wildlife. Best place for a day trip which is around 2 hours drive from London. The ticket price is £39.98 and that includes everything inside Longleat like train, cruise, safari, fun activities etc. Summer time is best to visit this place. Longleat house is best for photography and scenic walk.

Absolutely fabulous time. We started with the safari drive as our 4 year old insisted! Wasn't too busy although was on a school day. We stopped at the African Village to see the animals there. There was a big queue to feed the giraffes so we didn't stay for that and drove round. Monkeys are particularly playful and mischievous so if you are precious about your car then do not enter. We saw every animal on the drive and really recommend the app as we checked off all the animals but also got to hear lots of information. We paid an extra £1.50 for deer food and we enjoyed feeding them from the car. Plenty of parking and not too far to walk even for those with little legs. We walked around Jungle Kingdom and then onto the Jungle Cruise. Very lucky to see so many gorillas out - we also paid £1.50 to feed the sea lions some fish. Again, I don't think we missed any animals on the walks round either. We managed to get another drive round done at the end. We avoided the monkeys this time and whole drive took just 50 mins that time. A fantastic day out. Highly recommend it! We've had to watch Animal Park again since being home!

Went with a few of my friends, had a lovely day out, eventhough we got there at 10, we still didn't have time to get round it all, so many fun things to do, and nice little opportunities to get close to the animals. Fun memories was made. Will be back another time to do all the things we missed out on :)

  • 4/5 Rhys W. 9 months ago on Google
Great day out. The Safari can take a little time to get around with stopping at gates but it's understandable why. They've no longer got the Bat Cave which I was a major disappointment for myself as a lover of bats. The staff on the boat, Lady Bath, were very friendly and entertaining.

  • 5/5 T L. 9 months ago on Google
We went for Mini safari invite. My children loves zoo but this is quite a different experience. There were monkeys jumping on our car and wild animals were in their near enough natural habitat as it could be bearing in mind the safety of civilians. It’s a must visit park for families especially children to experience wild life at its closest.

  • 5/5 John D. 9 months ago on Google
Wow, what an experience. I'm so glad we went. My son had the best day and loved every minute of it, as did mammy and daddy. I highly recommend a visit. The drive true the animals is really something else, to get that close to lions, tigers, cheetahs, and wolves is fantastic and even the cheeky monkeys lol great fun.

  • 4/5 Jonathan R. 9 months ago on Google
A fine area, we were here on a very rainy day so I can't say we got to see it in it's full glory. Highlights were the jungle cruise where we saw a hippo, gorillas, sea lions and more. We had a good guide who taught us all we needed to know about the animals and their history. Another highlight was the Lions, it was so much fun seeing them all sleeping and yawning in the rain I am giving four stars because we have been to other places similar and had more fun. However this might be due to the rain. I don't recommend the "African village" on a rainy day as there is very little room under cover so if it's raining skip that snd rather go to the main building and find some indoor activities. Overall a great day of driving. We skipped the monkey drive because we didn't want to ruin our car.

  • 5/5 Claire B. 9 months ago on Google
Had a great day. The jungle cruise was great, loved the koalas and birds. Enjoyed the inflatables too. The safari was brilliant. We had a good show from the lion enclosure 😸

Staff are so friendly and helpful great for kids, families and big kids aged 67 😃😃

Took the Daughter and grandkids to Longleat. Been waiting to go. Now it's on my doorstep. Opportunity to go. We all had a ball. Not one complaint Animals, fabulous, Safari was really great, especially the lions, sooo many. Great variety of animals. So much to do. We didn't do house or gardens. As, we just about fitted in doing the animals and we were there 7hrs. Took a picnic but plenty of places to eat.££/£££. So much to do and see. Well worth the money, as everything in the ticket price except the Safari bus which is £9 extra each. If u didn't want to take Ur car round. Full recommend. Go when it opens, as u need the time. Enjoy

My daughter loved it. Loved the koalas. Boat trip ,train ride, lots to see and do. Get on boat early as queues get long. Loos etc could do with a lot of attention, damn good clean needed. Pretty slow on the drive through safari , so many gates. Overall kids love it, but exhausting for old gits.

Lovely day out. Park well maintained. Great selection of animals. House looks spectacular and lawns beautifulfully manicured. Lots to see and do including places to eat. Good value. Orangery a bit over priced to eat and staff need a little more training as so slow. Did not know what ear grey tea is and tea pot was half filled.

Always a great day out. Really enjoyed the realm and dinosaurs this summer holiday!. Be warned if your child wears glasses they have to remove them for the realm..

Fantastic day out, the layout works perfectly. We started off at the jungle area and made our way on to the boat trip, this was great and all excursions etc were free! We then continued around this area of the park before heading back for the train journey, which again is free. When we attended they had a seasonal dinosaur park which our boys found amazing! After a spot of lunch we went for the safari drive which was incredible, the weather was not too hot so lots of lions were roaming around, there was also a lot of activity in the monkey park. We then returned to the main area and continued walking around before ending up in the castle play area which was a nice finishing touch. Altogether this was an amazing day with lots to see and do!

We liked it! Especially Monkeys enclosure was alot of fun but you have to be careful because monkeys do scratch your paintwork. If we had to choose between Longleat and West Midlands Safari - this one is the winner.

Visited the last week of the summer school holidays and it was busier than our previous few visits. We are annual members and try to get there 4 or 5 times a year. We plan our visit to take in as much as possible and ensure we get to see different areas each time. With the kids, it is important to do this due to queues in the safari/food/toilets! We were treated to seeing far more of the animals this visit than previously (see a small selection of photos). Our only suggestion is to increase the variety of food. There was a street food hut near the main picnic area that served vegetarian food. The service was fast and the food quality was good. Without the little cabins the pizza offering was very busy. A 20 minute wait is too long for young children and can eat into your day out. Bring snacks, drinks and sweets to keep you going while walking around/queuing. Definitely worth visiting for the entire day.

Amazing day. Second time I have been and have loved it both times! Love the conservation efforts and applaud the work they have done with the breeding programmes and was so luck to get to see some of the babies like the sea lion and the baby moneys! Great day out for all the family!

Second visit to Longleat. Bigger version of zoo. Great for family day out. Manage to feed the giraffe and deers up close and personal. Overall, it was a wonderful place. Would recommend this place.

Great place to take the family! The kids loved feeding the giraffes & walking through the bird enclosure. Driving through the safari was great but be aware the monkeys will steal bits off your car if they can 🤣 you can skip the monkeys but they are great fun! All in all longleat is a great day out

  • 4/5 Naomi P. 7 months ago on Google
Considering the day we went was the busiest of the season the queues for the boat and safari were quick. There was quite a few visitors who would just stop their car in the safari and eat their lunches and hold up the queue. I found some of the members of staff within the safari were not welcoming however the staff at the sweet shop were so welcoming and were happy to spend the time answering questions. Toilets were very messy probably after the huge amount of people in the park.

  • 3/5 John S. 7 months ago on Google
Very expensive for what it is. Could do with better signage for the walk around areas we haven't all got perfect vision. I would advise taking your own food as with most places like this your a captive audience and boy do they know that and take advantage to the fullest extent.

Another fabulous day at Longleat. Today, we toured the house - a real beauty! Personally, I would have liked a more in-depth tour detailed more of the treasures within, but I'm a bit of a nerd! The house is amazing. As always, the estate is run so well, and it really shows. The staff seem happy, the animals are happy, the visitors are happy, the buildings well maintained and cared for. English Heritage & National Trust should take notes. I always feel Longleat offers great value, and the ticket price covers more things to do than most can complete in a day - a rare thing nowadays with many attractions only entertaining for 2-3 hours. Thank you for more great memories and fun, I'll be back soon! ❤️ 🦁

  • 4/5 Kristian T. 7 months ago on Google
Longleat offers a vast experience with a generous selection of animals both big and small. I visit annually, and is always good fun. Only snag is the ever increasing ticket prices. The prices are ludicrous compared to other local and smaller zoos.

A Memorable Family Adventure at Longleat Safari Our recent visit to Longleat Safari was nothing short of **amazing**. It was a day filled with excitement and discovery, especially for the kids. The safari offers a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with a variety of animals, making it an educational and fun-filled experience for the entire family. The safari park is well-organized and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the overall positive experience. The animal encounters are thrilling, and the opportunity to feed some of the animals was a highlight for our children. However, there is always room for improvement. While the variety of animals is impressive, we felt that there could be more diversity in the species presented. Adding more animals to the safari would not only enhance the visitor experience but also provide a broader educational platform for children. In conclusion, Longleat Safari is a fantastic destination for a family outing. It's not just about viewing animals; it's about immersing oneself in nature and learning about wildlife conservation. We look forward to seeing how Longleat will continue to evolve and improve in the future.

Brilliant day out. Even in the rain. The drive-through safari is great. We were lucky enough to see a group of lionesses have a b***h fight. Most attractions are included in the price, the river cruise(sea lions), and the small train ride. The house tour is extra but less than £5 and worth it.

Amazing koala VIP experience today at Longleat. Childhood dream to get up close to these amazing animals. The work Longleat are doing to protect this species is incredible and their knowledge and understanding of these beautiful creatures is fantastic. Great day out.

Fabulous full day out. So much to see and do. The children loved it. Seeing the animals upclose is something they will never forget and were so excited to see the monkey's. We stayed very late to see the air balloons but due to weather conditions on the day we went they could not all fly. Safety first. We understood that but still had the best time.

  • 5/5 Dylan H. 6 months ago on Google
Wonderful safari, would love to go again and get the VIP experience. The actual zoo part where you can walk around is small-ish but combined with boat, train, and safari bus you can easily spend majority of a day here.

  • 4/5 David B. 6 months ago on Google
More than a day is needed to visit everything at Longleat. The safari park is a great way to see a variety of animals close up (perhaps to close in the case of the monkeys). The cruise is amazing, especially if you get to see the gorillas close up.

  • 5/5 Dean H. 6 months ago on Google
A great day out for all. Amazing safari drive where the animals are provided huge spaces to wander but visitors are still kept close. Shyer animals can sometimes be harder to spot but you aren't rushed to keep moving. Watch out for the monkeys who WILL damage your car. We got off lightly with a chewed arial but you can bypass the monkey enclosure if your choose. Outside of the safari the main park has plenty to do and a few restaurants to choose from. Some better than others! The train ride was fun though animals aren't really part of the ride and it is just a nice scenic trip. We didn't go on the boats but could see it takes you close to hippos and gorillas. We had a great day on a Friday but can imagine it would be very busy at the weekend or on a bank holiday.

AMAZING! Great day out. Safari drive though took around 2 hours due to waiting for gates but the audio app helped in that time. Loved that the boat, maze and train were all included in ticket price. Thought food and drinks were reasonably priced as well. Loved the fact that the sea lions swim free!

  • 5/5 thecommon m. 5 months ago on Google
Expensive but worth it. Wolves, tigers, lions.+ A host of wonderful animals at touching distance. Having a honey bear literally 6 feet away, on a branch eating or a sloth moving amongst the queueing public. Took my grandchildren 13 and 10 and they loved it. For a special treat it is worth it.

  • 5/5 Rupert B. 6 months ago on Google
Had a wonderful two days. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Day 1 went on safari bus which was much safer in with the monkeys. Day 2 drove through ourselves and got some amazing close up views of lions, wolves and even saw a tiger try to pounce on a pheasant 😲 2 day pass made it much easier to see everything. Can't wait to go back one day.

Nice place for a day out especially when the weather is good. The game drive in the Safari bus is good, however the windows are smudged to take good photos. Taking your own car can be risky with the monkeys as they love to have a free ride and can scratch the car and rip the rubber in the car doors and windows.

What a place! Longleat is a really enjoyable day out with lovely grounds, plenty of interesting and entertaining animals and a huge house to explore. The safari part is only one aspect of Longleat and there really is something for everyone! The orangerie cafe was unbelievable, such a beautiful venue with a wonderful outlook. Definitely recommend stopping in there for a drink and a quick snack (although the coffee wasn't great so I'd stick to tea).

But less at the actual zoo part of things than expected but still not a reason not to go. The Safari drive through was brilliant, we went through the monkey enclosure(which you can bypass if worried about vehicle damage) and we came out only losing a blind spot mirror and three aerial sheath lol. Easy recommendation to visit lived it all but thinking summer is probably a better time to go

We went to The Festival of Light opening night last night and loved it. We went last year too and it's become a yearly tradition. The safari takes a while, but there are some great photo opportunities as you go around. The light show was spectacular this year, projected onto the water fountains. A joy to watch. The donuts, cinnamon sugar were divine once again! Absolutely fantastic day out. I hope to be here for 2024

  • 5/5 Sangeetha B. 5 months ago on Google
The safari experience was amazing. We had close encounters with the lions. Not much tigers around. Disappointedly We missed the hyenas. We went on the first day of festival of lights show. I like the water light show the most. We missed the jungle cruise as it was dark already. Lastly the storytelling show with hawk and owl was an icing on the cake, it was a very quick one. Overall it was a very good experience. It will take a day to completely. I recommend going there and starting the safari as early as possible. There are lot of cafes around the castle. Loading the car with few snacks during the jungle is recommended.

Great day out for all family, we arrived at 9:30 and left at 19:30. Would recommend booking the Santa train service as when we got their told it was fully booked though their was loads of empty seats throughout the day and we wasn’t aware we had to pre book or their was a Santa train when making the booking for Longleat and festival of lights. Most staff and keepers polite and would answer any questions but guest services staff was some of the rudest people I have come across. Safari bus is a must and the drive Dave was fantastic and knowledgeable, but get there early to avoid disappointment. Also the little ferry to sea lions and gorilla inclosure was fantastic and our children enjoyed feeding fish to the sea lions.

We come every year, and it never fails to impress. The only slight downside is the cost of food, drink and gizzits, but it's to be expected. If you have young kids, the Santa train is a MUST! Staff are very friendly and happy to help.

This was actually a return visits after we stayed in January 2023 at east lodge. Having had a wonderful experience we rebooked both carpenters and gardeners cottage together and brought our families along, it was so wonderful again and everything we expected! Staying for the festival of light is excellent value for money as the activities available included in the cost of the accommodation is fantastic. The safari was excellent seeing lots of animals despite the rain. Amazing time away! Will return
