Very peaceful place with lots of historical value. It’s required to buy tickets to enter the cathedral. There are many volunteers to help you to see around the cathedral. Anyone can enjoy on their own. So many schools are giving tours. Its a very vast place. There is a nice cafe located for quick bites.

This is another great cathedral in the country. £10 for entry. We didn’t get to see inside of the cathedral due to the time we had in the town. The ground and Cathedral itself looked magnificent. They are pay-and-display parking nearby. You can use the park and ride bus service for £4 return a day. Will pay a visit inside next time.

Haven for architectural lovers. A beautiful cathedral with lovely views in and out. The baptismal font is the highlight with reflective images. Set in a sprawling grounds with breathtaking landscapes. Just 23 miles from Southampton. Over 800 years old. Houses the world's oldest working mechanical clock. Entry is £9 and allows all year round. Must visit if you are on or near Southampton

Booked online to go on the Tower tour. It was worth every penny. Over 300 steps over three flights of steps. What a fantastic view from the top and to see behind the scenes. A tremendous amount of information was provided by John, thank you I would recommend this to anyone who is not scared of heights

A place of contemplation and beautiful architecture that allows you to feel the weight of your faith. No matter what that faith may be. A place of worship and boundless beauty that leaves only love in your heart. I am truly thankful that I was allowed to contribute to the upkeep of this cathedral and see its history with my own eyes.

If you get the chance make sure you get a guided tour. Wasn't expecting much but very pleasantly surprised. Really knowledgeable gentleman but the info and facts given were really interesting and could have listened to more. Such a beautiful structure and lots to see. Fascinating info in relation to the water underneath and how it's controlled.

Have visited Salisbury Cathedral a few times over the years. This time it was for the flower show. Beautiful exhibits. Such hard work must have gone into them. Most unusual font. Great atmosphere and definitely a place for reflection.

Stunning one! Salisbury is Such a lovely place to see and the Cathedral is very powerful building to go around. Entry fee is £9 on door or £8 in advance. There are plenty of car parks in Salisbury. And price range is same on all of them, though you need to pay extra £0,50 to use the public toilets on them.

An absolute icon of historical, religious & spiritual experience. The architecture & building are awe inspiring. The atmosphere is electric as a time capsule. It is still an active place of worship. Features in one of my favourite paintings by Constable. Visited on the hottest day ever recorded in England so appreciated the cool interior!

Truly few places like it. Absolutely a top tier Gothic cathedral and an iconic place to visit. Worth your time especially if you have art either interest.

Spent a lovely evening at Salisbury Cathedral as part of the illuminating art display. Absolutely amazing. Staff friendly and helpful. The art work was simply amazing and the videos do not do it justice. On site restaurant very nice, limited parking. Book tickets in advance for events. Follow me for more adventures

We (group of 6) booked a tower tour and it was fantastic. Peeking behind the scenes of the cathedral and witnessing its history first hand was awesome. However, our guide (Chris) made the tour. He was incredibly knowledgable and able to answer all of our questions. He was accommodating, humorous and a very good story teller. We 100% recommend this tour and we’re looking forward to booking the library tour next!

Salisbury Cathedral is truly remarkable. Its stunning architecture and rich history make it a must-visit destination. The ease of online ticketing and convenient parking enhance the experience, ensuring a hassle-free visit. What's particularly appealing is the cathedral's proximity to the charming city center, allowing visitors to seamlessly explore both the historic cathedral and the vibrant heart of Salisbury. The cathedral's staff, known for their friendliness, add to the overall positive experience. They're always ready to assist and share insights about this magnificent place. In summary, Salisbury Cathedral offers a blend of history, accessibility, and warm hospitality, making it a top-notch destination for anyone seeking a memorable cultural and architectural experience in the heart of Salisbury.

This was a great visit - if you want a quiet visit go for the the last booking - we found ourselves int he cathedral with only a few other people - it was calm and peaceful. If you are a resident - you don't have to pay.

I was spoilt with visiting this cathedral at Christmas time... what a TREAT! Delicious café, clean toilet facilities. Beautiful cloisters. Perfect all year round.

The cathedral is very impressive. Pay attention that parking next to the cathedral (after the ancient stone gate) costs 8 pounds a day. There are no options for shorter stays. The parking officer recommended us leave the car on the next street over if we wanted to pay less. We haven’t been inside the cathedral.

An amazing building! Beautiful stained glass windows and incredible history. I definitely recommend doing the tower tour as you get to see the original roof structure, the bells, and the best views in Salisbury

Why not 5 stars? Well, it was a Sunday and the Cathedral was closed to visitors. I was quite disappointed. Although their cafe and bookstore were open (got to keep the money coming in). On this day there was a concert taking place outside. It was really enjoyable for the large crowds seated on the grass. Anyway, I've visited the Cathedral in the past and I know it to be very nice inside. I took pics with phone and my camera. I took some pics of Salisbury too. I also took a few videos which will be on YouTube soon, link to follow.

A great example of a medieval cathedral which has remained a adapting community focus. And well connected to the art world. The font with ever flowing water is a great example. Gilbert Scott and Christopher Wren both worked here. There are interesting church related houses around its close which are also worth exploring too.

We had a magical time, a tour is well worth it as you then notice lots of extra or partially hidden gems. Ideal if on your own or with family
