Day out to Poole quay... Had a little nose in here on the way back... Given a history talk about the boat on display. Stuart was great and very knowledgeable... Thank you for the brief tour πŸ˜πŸ‘

Well worth a visit. Small but interesting. If you want a RNLI special tour, it’s great if you can do the Tour of the main RNLI building, which can be booked on their web site (not during lockdown).

Great history. Loved the story behind the Thomas Kirk Wright and its role in the Dunkirk evacuation.

A wonderful example of how brave the RNLI an especially knowing that they are all volunteers. The boat in the shed is from the 1940s in was used in the Second World War II rescue ship mate. The boat is far from technical and and is very basic compared to today's boats. This is well worth a visit as it is free and it gives you a wonderful insight into the history of the service. All the service of is that you had a small donation at the ends and I would implore everyone to do so.

Lovely little museum and shop, great to see the old lifeboats, which are so different to the ones that the RNLI currently use. Museum volunteers were nice and friendly too.

free admission . eventhough it is not a 5 stars must-visit attraction but overall it is worth a 5 stars review. here is why. this is one of the oldest local historical museum. friendly and welcoming manager and storyteller ready to answer all the curious lil queries. Poole harbour is legendary world ranking NO.1 longest harbour ( Sydney's one is the 1st for man-made one : museum conservator ). the house of museum itself was aged hundreds years old. on the corner tiny little souvenirs shop offers RNLI testimonials. support the right people.

An interesting place to visit. There are photos and old equipment. It's fun for children as there are badges and flags. Well worth going. And it's free. Leave a donation.

Very informative and friendly staff. Although it is small, there is plenty of information, an old lifeboat on display and a few activities. There is also a little shop. All on the lovely Poole quay. Entry is free but as all the frontline RNLI volunteers all over the country risk their lives for no pay, I always leave a small donation.

Works Christmas party. What can I say, what a great venue. We were in a room off from the other works parties. Had a waiter to ourselves who was very attentive and had a great sense of humour. On arrival a glass of prosecco, half a bottle of wine each with our 3 course meal, coffee and mince pies to finish. All for Β£33.00 with a discount for being NHS staff. Food was excellent, despite there being a few to cater for, which can be a disappointment at other venues. At the end of the meal we were directed to the party floor and danced the night away. The only reason I have marked it down by a star is that there was not enough bar staff.

A very cute teeny tiny museum with a lot of interesting information about the lifeboat in there. It's free to go in so you may as well if you're already at the beach!
