Friendly, accommodating hosts, we loved the fact that it was dog friendly, the pod we stayed in was very comfortable and cozy and had everything inside that we needed for our stay. The location is fabulous. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic 3 night stay in one of the pods. Brilliant accommodation, had everything you need for a perfect stay. There’s a beach 5 minute walk away which is absolutely stunning. So quiet and peaceful and just perfect. Can’t wait to come back again. Thank you Elsie and Derek for an unforgettable experience.

This was exactly what we were looking for in our stay in the Isle of Lewis. The hut was cozy, had everything you needed for preparation of meals, within walking distance to the beach, and a short drive to the Callanish Standing Stones. We enjoyed the beautiful and unreal views. I would highly recommend this stay!

Stayed for a few days with the pup and had a wonderful time! While having a car to get there is best and easiest, it is possible to reach the croft by bus from Stornoway, and to get back calling ahead and scheduling a stop with the driver is a must. There was plenty to see and explore by foot, like Mangersta Beach nearby, hillwalking, and the croft itself is lovely to observe. The hut is very comfortable, with coffee and tea even being provided; as well as oil, salt, and pepper for cooking. Overall a great stay!

Had a fabulous 4 night stay in Pod 2. The wife and II snuggled up with Molly the mini Schnauzer. Super location at the end of the road. Super safe for walking as virtually no traffic. Heaps of walks and Mangersta beach a 10 minute walk away. Lots of great beaches nearby by car. Reef beach and Ardroil beach utterly beautiful. Cracking smoked Salmon to be bought at very good prices from the Mangersta Lodge shop. We had an amazing first night by the fire pit, eating and drinking wine while my magnificent fire crackled away. Just fantastic. Pod was very clean and the double bed Super comfy and cosy. Will be back again. Thanks to Elsie and Derek.

Mangersta Croft is in Uig - a fabulous part of Lewis. The Croft is only five minutes walk from a stunning, white sand beach with spectacular waves which attract surfers, and short drive from many more. We received a very warm welcome from the owners who were extremely helpful in giving local advice about walks and pointing out the golden eagle flying over the site! Elsie also kindly helped us contact a doctor and pharmacy when we needed to. The pod we stayed in was great. Extremely clean, well equipped and comfortable for three of us. We loved the views from the flower-filled garden, especially as there were rarely any midgies. The walled area with the communal fire pit was lovely and sheltered. We stayed at Mangersta Croft for five nights in August and it wasn’t enough to explore all of this beautiful part of Lewis. We definitely want to go back.

Our recent visit to Mangersta Croft Holidays was remarkable. Hosts Elsie and Derek were very hospitable, friendly, and helpful, and the location was stunningly beautiful. Walks to cliffs overlooking the sea, secluded beaches, and picturesque rolling hills right at your doorstep, never ceased to wow! This remote part of the Outer Hebrides was hard to leave, and we are already dreaming of our return. The pods are beautifully located on the property, clean, well designed, equipped, bright, and airy. We had a wonderful experience in Mangersta and our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Highly recommended! Kate, Mark, and Sophia

A lovely spot for wigwam, the views are gorgeous, the owners very helpful and friendly. The little homes are well stocked and clean, and the fire pit was easy to use and enjoy. Will definitely be back. Dogs welcome!

Lovely cabins and glamping pods in an amazing location. Super friendly owners who could not have been more helpful. Accommodation is spotlessly clean, well equipped and dog friendly. There are great wallks, long and short, directly from the property.

This is a cute little shepherd's hut, fitted out with everything you need and some lovely quaint, vintage decorative touches. It's close to a lovely secluded beach in a beautiful part of Lewis. Elsie and Derek are friendly and welcoming, telling us about events locally and places to visit. We had a wonderful time.

Absolutely stunning location. The most adorable little Shepherds Hut with a super comfy bed, brilliant shower but most importantly a view and location to absolutely die for! Travelled with your 2 Sprocker Spaniels who loved the beach and sea cliff walks.

Mangersta is the most beautiful part of Lewis, and we were so lucky to be a 5 minute walk from our hut to an empty beach in June. The location is perfect for enjoying the beauty of the hills and beaches. Ardroil Beach is also quite close. There is a well stocked shop and petrol station about 10 minutes drive away, but everything is closed on Sunday so plan ahead. The hut itself was well designed and decorated with a coastal theme and artistic touch. Very cozy with everything we needed (no AC during a heatwave made for warm nights, but there is a heater for those going in cooler weather.) We were 2 plus a dog, and it was just the right size. The huts are positioned to give plenty of privacy, and the view is stunning! It was a very romantic place to stay on our anniversary, and we would certainly come back!

Loved our stay at Mangersta Croft holidays. We found it very relaxing during our time on the beautiful Isle of Lewis. We stayed in the red Shepherd's Hut - the perfect place for a little couple's retreat. After 7 nights of camping in a tent all over the Inner and Outer Hebrides, it was just what we needed! We thoroughly enjoyed the little hut and everything it has to offer - DVDs, books, cooking facilities, lovely hot shower and comfy bed! We particularly enjoyed our visit to the beach a five minute walk from the huts. It is completely out of this world and a must-see! One of the most spectacular beaches you'll ever see. Overall, we had a great time here and have fond memories of it. Enjoyed looking through their instagram feed tonight reminiscing our visit last month. Mangersta Croft Holidays have very welcoming hosts (Derek and Elsie - thank you). The only downside to our stay was that it was too short. We only stayed one night and I would definitely suggest staying for longer!

We spent 4 delightful nights staying in a Shepard’s hut here. Our hut was beautifully decorated, cosy at night and had gorgeous views of the sea. The hut was well equipped and had everything we needed. The location is superb, a short walk from a stunning beach . The owners are delightful and made us feel so welcome with lots of helpful tips and info. There were lots of tasteful touches throughout the site - a nod to the owners artistic side. This place is a real gem. We were sad to leave but catching a glimpse of St. Kilda as we pulled out was a parting gift. We will be back :-)

Mangersta was the perfect place for my husband to recuperate from his triple bypass. It’s was so beautiful and so peaceful. Elsie and Derek were amazing hosts and went out of their way to make our stay as memorable as possible. It was the perfect location from which to explore this special island. We can’t wait to go back.

Emily and I stayed in one of the cute cabins. It was perfect for 2 people and an ideal base to explore Uig. The owners are lovely people too!

Lovely well laid out hut. Remote location. Note the shop 10 mins away closes at 5pm and only shop between here and Stornaway. Kitchen has everyone you need for two people, as really no where to eat within walking distance I cooked twice a day and it was absolutely fine. Shower nice and hotel has a tv but no reception but their is WiFi, and a blue tooth speaker to play the radio on. Plus a dvd collection for late evening. The beach is a 7 min stroll.

We stayed for 3 nights as a family of 4(2 young children of 4 and 8) in the garden hut/cabin. Derek and Elsie were excellent hosts and very welcoming and always had time to chat or answer questions about the area and also gave great tips on where to visit. We had a lot of fun and the kids loved the wildness of the Uig coast and Mangersta beach (5 min walk) and also the fire pit where we sat and had a few drinks with other families and the hosts. A great 3 days and the cabin had all you needed for a getaway with toilet, shower, induction hob, fridge and a small tv with dvds including which the kids loved. Mangersta beach is great and 5 mins walk and is secluded. When the tide is out you can walk on the rook pools on the left hand side of the beach and also a hidden cage on teh right hand side (you can ask teh owners about this). Ardroil beach (nearby), Callanish stones, trip around Bhaltos loop, Gearrannan Blackhouse Village (there is a fee) Carloway , Butt of Lewis all in a day was a nice way to get out. If you go to Harris then Luskentyre is a must but keep going as you will see other amazing beaches within 10 mins (Seilebost beach ,Sgarasta Mhòr Beach) and the mountain scenery is priceless. Lews Castle grounds in Stornoway is a nice walk with the kids and also a Gruffalo trail.

We loved our time here. The hut was comfortable, had everything we needed and was in the most stunning setting with the spectacular views and beautiful beaches. The perfect place to relax and unwind. We can’t wait to return.

We had a magical 5 nights at Mangersta, what a beautiful spot in a wonderful part of the island - wish we had been able to stay longer! We booked both a Shepherd's Hut and a pod, both of them were brilliantly equipped, super comfy and cosy. We did some gorgeous walks along the cliffs and some amazing swims at the idyllic Reef Beach (about 20 mins in car - thanks to Elsie for the recommendation!). We'd love to go back...
