We came to this beautiful resort all the way from London. A 5 hour drive that proved to be worth it by the end of our time. We spent 3 days there and we absolutely enjoyed every minute of it. Visiting places like this when you travel outside of London is so refreshing and really gives you a greater outlook on life. St Michaels Resort was so warm and welcoming from the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out. The interior is very modern, spacious and elegant. The bedrooms were very clean and the daily maintenance was was constantly good. Walking around the resort was so spectacular, at times you’d think you just travelled abroad to another country. The outdoor greenery is so well maintained and picture perfect it was always a sight to behold with the ocean view just being the perfect background. The staff team were very friendly and always willing to help. They even gave a mini history lesson on the area and it’s significance which was great to learn. The resort allows dogs and we had a great time with our little puppy. She enjoyed all her walks in a new environment and being with us during breakfast and dinner. The restaurant offered food of the highest standard and each day the menu was different. This added an element of excitement when it came to dinner time. The food was phenomenal and fresh; I couldn’t fault it. All of the facilities were as advertised and well priced for the length you get to use each facility. You have a variety of options for so many things to do at the resort. They were all in tip top condition and cleanliness in all areas was not an issue. It was just such a joy to be there I’m almost lost of words because I couldn’t write a lot more. I highly recommend this resort for families, couples and just a get away. It will be worth every penny and you really will have more than enough time to make most of all that it offers. I have made separate reviews on the location, restaurant, beach and the beautiful nature of the park.

A lovely stay, with great food and spa treatments. We stayed as part of a Virgin Experience gift voucher. We paid additional for the treatments in the thermal spa and were not disappointed. Upon check in we were situated in the Beach House, the room was well appointed and we had a beautiful outside deck with a sea view. We had a 3 course meal included in our stay at The Brasserie restaurant - there was a nice menu with options to suit most tastes (our steaks were incredible). Saturday was spent exploring locally followed by time in the thermal spa and a treatment each which were sensational. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning.

We had a premium room which wasn't well maintained but the View was OK.We are hoteliers from Penzance and have a great view of Mount's Bay.. And for what we paid we would expect more.. As for the food We had a evening meal 2 courses for £38 each !! Hideous!! Wife had Muscles when came to table They were not all open.. Major problem... We sent meal back!! I had lamb which was disgusting it was so thinly sliced all you could taste is anchovies and cold uncooked Veg, not even blanched..What is the cook doing..? I'm not saying Chef as a Chef wouldn't send those meals out.. Breakfast wasn't any better we sent it back, cold beans etc, advertised as Cornish Breakfast.. Disgrace and insult to Cornwall, What made it a Cornish Breakfast..No hogs pudding. Disgrace..

We were initially planning a family vacation at St Michaels resort to have our kids enjoy plenty of activities and move freely at the resort. Unfortunately, there were no activities, they could join by themselves (teenagers). The pool had to be shared with the general public, pool times for kids were very limited and children under 16 had to be accompanied & watched by an adult. The spa and all other activities had to be booked on top. We were also not aware, that the center of the resort was a car park and the view of the seaside would be mainly hidden by a huge hotel building. On top of that, there was a construction place just next to the hotel. The noise started at 8 am daily. The hotel staff was attentive & the spa was nice though. The price for the room was twice the price of our 4-star hotels in central London & Paris. To sum it up: a subpar experience for a steep price. Sadly it didn’t live up to the marketing material and our expectations.

Fantastic hotel in a really great location. Rooms are great, the staff are always happy and have impeccable customer service. The restaurant is amazing, hats off to the chef. I will definitely be returning. Best hotel in Cornwall by far.

A fantastic stay! We just spent 3 nights over the bank holiday weekend at St Michaels and loved it. The staff are all fantastic - genuinely warm and friendly, from the welcome desk to the restaurants. We stayed in a luxury balcony room which was perfect for us and our pooch and we loved the treat bag and bed set out for the dog. The breakfasts were delicious, (always brought an extra sausage for the dog), and we enjoyed our evening meal in the Garden - the balcony with sea view was the perfect spot for a sunny rose. The location was great, right across from the beach. Parking always easily available and we were encouraged to stay as long as we wanted after check out to enjoy the sunny day. Made to feel very welcome. Would definitely stay again. Thank you. My only recommendation is on the balconies where dogs are allowed the dividing bushes have gaps so dogs can (and ours did!) run through onto different balconies.

A honeymoon delight. Myself and my husband had the pleasure of staying at St Michaels Resort for our honeymoon. The hotel itself is located moments from the beach in a tropical heaven with sea views all around the resort. We were instantly greeted by the friendly staff at reception who made sure we knew where everything was within the Resort, but also took the time to direct us to town with some recommendations. We dined in the Brasserie on the Bay on our first night. The menu can only be described as a journey of the best of local produce, creating an exquisite dining experience. Our waiter Cristian deserves a special mention as he was simply fantastic! We experienced nothing short of a dream-like state as we treated ourselves to ultimate bliss in the Spa taking advantage of the vast range of hydrothermal facilities. We love to keep fit and the health club facilities were a big plus for us! We experienced a killer spin class by Steve- O. The gym facilities are leagues above any other hotel gym, or most other gyms we have been too! We couldn’t recommend our stay here highly enough! We are both from Australia and are already planning our next U.K trip- you better believe that a stay at St Michaels Resort is top of that list!

I've stayed at St Michaels a couple of times and will probably visit again. The location is great, next to the beach, and the rooms are very comfortable and well looked after. The attached health centre is a great bonus and well worth visiting during your stay. On the flipside the car park is almost always packed out so I've always ended up parking on the road. Also the quality of the food seems to have dipped slightly with the portion sizes at dinner not being overly generous and the cooked breakfasts coming out rather over-cooked. Still there is a good spread at breakfast, so all is not lost, but there is some room for improvement here.

We stayed at St Michael's Resort for 6 nights last week. The staff were very nice and friendly. The only thing that we found was wrong was that my room was very small, got very hot in this heat. No air conditioning, pillows too soft. Shower inside bath. No hand rails, our room was right at the back of the hotel by the car park. No view. My mums room was nice, but no separate shower for her to use. Bath too deep. She nearly slipped in the bath as she has a broken hip. Rooms need to be updated. Food was good, but needs different menus for each night. Service of rooms wasn't done until later in the day when we were in our rooms. Very noisy corridors, lots of people coming and going. Only one lift in the whole hotel. Limited parking. Breakfast last very good.

I loved this resort so much but sadly the room I had did not match the price or style of the resort. I stayed two nights and booked a single room the cheapest available. I don’t mind small but the room I was allocated was damp (34). Very strong smell. Windows were too high for me to reach to open and too high to look out of. The damp was so bad I asked to be moved the second night. I was told I could only be allocated a similar level room but I’d have to hand my keys in by 11am and not be allocated the new one until after 3.30 which I said was fine as it was the only option. I just wanted somewhere higher up and not so damp so I could have a decent night’s sleep. I was given a room one level up. It did not smell damp. This was the only positive. Windows again too high to open and this room was boiling hot. The heated towel rail was permanently on high during hot weather. There was a constant buzzing noise in the room (40). All in all I didn’t sleep well either night which totally distracts from all the other fabulous qualities of this resort. The restaurant was fantastic. Location superb almost on the beach and 15 mins walk into town. I would stay again but do not book the most basic room. It’s just not worth it. Really disappointed.

Beautiful resort with lovely rooms (with great AC), fantastic gym/pool area and restaurant is well worth a visit. Just a minute walk to the beach. The only let down was the tennis courts which need resurfacing. Overall very impressed and can't wait to come back

Had an afternoon tea booked at these premises. This should have been a nice experience. Unfortunately we were greeted by a member of staff saying the he hoped we had not parked in the carpark. I am disabled and was struggling to get in with my walking stick. We were told when we booked not to park in the hotel car park. There was a free disabled parking bay right outside the door but because we were only having an afternoon tea we were not allowed to use it. The hotel only seems to care about people that stay there the night and spend a shed load of money with them. Regardless of the face that money was spent with them for the afternoon tea. I guess local disabled people don't count for much to a company that looks down their nose at you as soon as you hobble through the door. Won't be going back.

Had a spa day to celebrate a big birthday. On arrival we were greeted by smiling faces with an easy introduction to the spa. The facilities were great with everything we needed provided. The spa was fantastic steam rooms, spa pool with jets and an outdoor hot tub to take in a view of the bay. There was also a cold plunge pool that I didn’t attempt. Had a really nice afternoon followed by a nice meal. It’s certainly something I will do again loved it.

Wow. Absolutely stunning of a place. So brilliantly staffed, so brilliantly located. We were greeted by a pleasant member of staff who ran us through the facilities within the resort. Our room was spacious, coupled with a large outdoor balcony with outdoor seating equipment. Shower was brilliantly sized and always warm. Clean and comfortable throughout our stay. Literally a minute walk to the beach and so worth it. Restaurant/breakfast had a brilliant offering and again, pleasant staff with supberb turnaround times. If you are searching for value for money- this has to be the one! 😁 Thank you St Michaels! 🇿🇦😄

I recently booked a one nights stay for my sister and I as a special treat for her Christmas gift, the deal included dinner, hydrotherapy and we each had a treatment. Firstly I would like to applaud your staff who were just great, it was really evident how well they worked as a team they were efficient, polite and good humoured. I previously worked in hospitality and it is not easy to display such cohesion with staff, whatever training you provide keep it up, it is definitely working. Our 3 course dinner was delicious, my facial one of the best I have had, and my sister expressed the same. I live locally and will definitely return for a repeat performance.

Went for a spa day, a treat from my sister. Absolutely beautiful. The pool and saunas, steam rooms are amazing. Lovely well equipped facilities. Also had a facial, wonderful treatment, super comfy massage beds and relax rooms. Great afternoon tea also very fancy. Will be back again ASAP

The health club was nothing special. Rooms were quite nice and comfortable with some nice touches. View is ok but it's a shame about the big building in the front of the hotel that blocks allot of the sea view. Food was really nice, the restaurant was good as was breakfast

Stunning place to relax in beautiful Cornwall. Me and my boyfriend visited a few months back and went to the gym and pool, hands down the best gym I've ever been to. The staff are very friendly also. See you next year!

Lovely hotel beautiful location everything about the Spa is fantastic, The best Ive been to. Very friendly helpful festival staff good food. I had a gorgeous message from holly, In the most luxurious surroundings. Delicious mulled wine and Delicious vibrant plant based food options. Can't recommend this place highly enough for a very relaxing break. Do to challenging Community work circumstances. We need to change our booking dates on 3 occasions. And the staff couldn't have been more helpful understanding and accommodating, thank you We did, however, find the room a bit too hot, had to keep the window wide open the whole time.

Absolutely outstanding hotel in a great location. If you are lucky or get in line early it has one of the best breakfast views you can get. Service was good and staff were welcoming. I was in room 70 thats at the top of a set of stairs so at times it was noisy but I was ok with it. Super comfy beds and pillows are on the softer side. Single rooms are on the small side but good for one person. Car parking gets full early but there is plenty of parking outside. Will stay for leisure next time.

Great service. Everyone is really friendly and extremely helpful. Rooms and especially bathrooms are a little dated. We came for the spa but all treatments where book. The main restaurant was nice and we really enjoyed it. The other pizza restaurant had tiny thin pizzas and felt a bit overpriced for what it was. Only 2 min walk to the beach which was great. 20 min walk to town which was also nice. Plenty of parking spaces and also a few electric car charges which was really helpful. We enjoyed our stay

St Michael's Resort was comfortable, spacious and high-value... and the hydrothingame pool ROCKS! Didn't want to get out and felt wonderful for days after!! The food is excellent and the staff welcoming, effective and charming too. Poppy and Sylvie stood out for their nothing-too-much-trouble attitude but, really, all of the staff were super. Thank you very much indeed and we will be back!

All in all a nice place! Had a few nights here. Lots of great things about this hotel. Amazing location right on the beach. Restaurant looks out over the sea which is very nice. Lovely decor. Very modern and sleek. The grounds and gardens are really nice. Car park is very secure. Staff are really nice. Pool is really really good. We had a few points that stopped me giving it 5 stars. Beds are quite hard. Restaurant didn't let us charge to the room. Kept banging my head on low doors. Balcony isn't really worth paying extra for as we only had a very set back view of the sea.

We enjoyed a 2 night stay which included a 3 course dinner on Friday night & breakfasts both mornings. We also had a 3 hour hydrothermal spa experience (this was a gift I bought for my partner from Virgin experience days). Amazing from start to finish, we were lucky to have 2 days of lovely weather. The food was outstanding, especially the poach eggs we enjoyed each morning. Comfortable & clean rooms. Beautiful decor throughout & lovely sea views from the dining room

We only hopped across the Tamar from South Devon for a long weekend spa break. The hotel is lovely, we enjoyed the hydrotherapy pools and the outdoor hot tub with a sea view. The pool and facilities in the health club were excellent. No problems at all with the facilities. But the rooms were very hot, with thick duvets and the warm October weather made it difficult to sleep. But my main gripe was the evening meal. Breakfast was fine, a perfect portion size as I hate to see waste, but dinner was disappointing. Firstly, I didn't get on with the menu, but I appreciate that is just my taste, my wife was quite happy with it. But the wait between starter, main and dessert was unacceptably long. I know the meals are prepared there and then and maybe its that none of the ingredients are per-prepared, in which case it is understandable I suppose. But if I was staying again, I would book for bed and breakfast and eat elsewhere in the evening.

Absolutely incredible food, great staff, modern rooms and fantastic facilities! Ignoring the weather, it honestly felt like we were abroad! This hotel goes above and beyond to make your stay memorable! If you like a modern hotel you’ll love this place. Gorgeous breakfast too with ingredients locally sourced!

Stayed here for my boyfriend's birthday. We had an absolutely incredible stay. We had the hydrothermal experience, where at times, we had the whole pool to ourselves! The balcony in our room was amazing, and the staff throughout the experience were so welcoming and helpful. They even left a special birthday card, and wrote 'happy birthday' in chocolate on his dessert. The food was incredible, from the quality of the fish to the delicious fondu dessert. 100% would recommend the Twilight stay offer. Hope to be back again soon!

Brilliant hotel with really friendly Staff My partner and I stayed here for a long weekend and loved it. The facilities were brilliant, the room was grand and the views were beautiful. On the first night we dined in the restaurant and were looked after by Beth and she was fantastic. She was very attentive, friendly and gave some good recommendations. Would highly recommend visiting - I know we'll be back

A mediocre experience at St Michaels. The staff are amazing, couldn't do enough for you, helping with recommendations and local amenities. The location is also fantastic, a short walk from Gyllyngvase Beach. However, the room was poor. We were in a Cosy Double room, which I appreciate is the smallest room available at the St Michaels, but it was very, very small. Significantly smaller than other places I've visited. I wouldn't mind the size if the price wasn't as high as it was. The light outside the room was left on all night, and shone brightly underneath the door—we had to block the door up with pillows to allow us to sleep. The room was pretty noisy too. Not what you'd expect from a 4-star hotel. Breakfast was great, although the coffee machines did break quite often. I'd say that the St Michaels wasn't worth the price it commanded, and I would consider other options before I stayed here again.

We stayed in what looked like newly renovated rooms, and the bed was ridiculously comfortable. The views from the main hotel were beautiful, and the food in the restaurant was excellent. The staff were polite if a little rushed as it was super busy. The pool and health club (seperate from the spa) were delightful.

It's a great place and a stunning venue, in a great location. I did have an issue with my room (smelt of mould/damp and very poor wifi), but being there for only two nights, it didn't bother me and reported it during checkout. The breakfast was good, and the staff were all really friendly. The bed was comfy, and the room was spacious and clean. I didn't check out the facilities, so I can't comment on them.

This was the best treat ever, a truly wonderful stay.. a brilliant spa break for me and my daughter, so relaxing and everything beyond our expectations… We received a lovely reception, and the staff were so helpful all the time. Our room with a sea view was fabulous and spotless, very comfortable bed and lovely bedding. They provided one with towels and robes and slippers throughout for the hydro therapy pool which was wonderful, and the swimming pool. Our evening meal was superb and served with a smile…and the breakfast was incredible too.. we will definitely come again.

Excellent stay at St Michaels Resort - most notably the new spa lodges and the hydrotherapy pool was one of the best I've been to. Staff friendly and rooms immaculate. Would definitely return!

I cannot say enough good things about the customer service! We had "wheelie" friends stay and the staff did everything possible to accommodate them. Minor hiccup with a lift was solved quickly. Nice rooms and the balcony was perfect.

What's not to love about this resort! Location is perfect! Service was one of the best we've experienced, breakfast was great! The spa is amazing! We were really sad to leave, we had a wonderful time here and would recommend it any day.

Dog friendly, near to the beach. The hotel is lovely & clean, and the staff are superb and very pleasant. Food is excellent! & so are the cocktails. The swimming pool is a good size & if you are away for relaxation then you must visit the spa. Not far to walk into Falmouth, but maybe a little hilly for some on your return if you have trouble walking. We caught a taxi to the far end of Falmouth, then ambled back slowly to the hotel. Visiting shops & restaurants. I would definitely visit again.

Went with my friend to the spa to treat her for her birthday. It was a memorable experience. The spa and pool were clean and really well laid out. As it was a sunny day, we were able to make use of the outside jacuzzi, loungers and plunge pool. Sadly the outdoor sauna wasn't on properly so I asked one of the staff to put it on which she did but it takes 20 minutes to heat up and we didn't have the time to wait. The Rassoul treatment was thoroughly enjoyable and would do again. We ended our spa time with a glass of champagne in the relaxation room after the Rassoul. I would highly recommend this spa though you only get 2 hours in the spa so make sure you arrive on time.

St Michael’s Resort is the Perfect getaway! From the location by the beach, the comfortable bed/room, spa, restaurant, and top-notch service - it was nothing short of perfect. My husband and I really enjoyed the 2 hour hydrothermal experience to add to our romantic mini-moon weekend. A delicious breakfast was also included with our stay. I can’t recommend the resort enough, we will definitely be coming back!
