Fantastic sanctuary for donkeys. Extremely welcoming and very friendly staff and volunteers. You can bring dogs on a lead. Great cafe which was vegan/vegetarian. Interestingly they don’t charge for entry - it made me spend more than I usually do at similar places to make up for it so I guess they get the money one way or another. I didn’t know there so many different types of donkey! Some species are huge! Some are really rare and this place is helping to keep them going with breeding programmes so this really is a worthwhile charity.

For some reason never been here before but now will always call in when in the area. There is no entrance fee, dogs on leads and walk around to see donkeys and horses. Very good cafe, nice gift shop. Amazing work they do to help these beautiful animals. Donations accepted.

Wonderful place to visit. You can see how happy and content all the donkeys and ponies are now they've been rescued and brought to this lovely Sanctuary. All the staff and volunteers were so friendly and welcoming. The café served fantastic food and there is even a doggy station where you can collect a blanket, treats and a drink for you dog while you're eating.

We had an absolutely amazing time at Flicka Donkey Sanctuary. They have lots of information about donkeys and those at their sanctuary. When we visited they had 99 donkeys on site, along with horses and ponies to see as well. The donkeys were drawn to our dog and just so fascinated by him, they weren't nervous or scared, even when he had a little woof. The donkeys loved a good scratch and petting too. The staff at the sanctuary were lovely, helpful and full of information about the donkeys and the sanctuary's history. There's a lovely vegan cafe on site as well as a gift shop to make donations to support the work of the sanctuary. We will definitely become regular visitors, and I cannot recommend visiting enough.

Had a great time at the sanctuary Such a beautiful place with great views and wonderful animals getting to enjoy their lives in peace. Great Vegan options in the café, as should always be the case for an animal sanctuary. Can't wait to go back.

What a little gem!!! We are on holiday from Kent and this place isn't advertised in all the big tourist brochures or websites, but I'm glad I stumbled across this on Google maps, out of season but still open and very friendly and warming. Lovely little cafe (vegan friendly) great way to spend a few hours. Free to enter but well worth a nice donation. If we ever come back to Cornwall we will be sure to pop by again.

Fantastic place to see donkeys so happy, relaxed and so well looked after, living there best lives now like they should be. The volunteers work is amazing and the up keep on the buildings and the paddocks is endless but everything was spotless and so well maintained. We didn't use the cafe but it was packed and everything we could see looked very tasty. Big Bertie was my favourite donkey and Thomas, Paddington and Bunnie I think it was was my wife's. A fantastic fantastic few hours out for a worthy donation.

Had a fab afternoon at the sanctuary. We saw so many donkeys and they’re all absolutely beautiful and so friendly. They let us interact with them and stroke them which was very lovely. The staff were so friendly and happy to chat about all things donkey related. Even finding out where Bertie was so we could go and see him :) will definitely come back as I live in the area and it was such a lovely day

So many donkeys! This is a fantastic freebie for the kids. Small, but perfectly formed and can get a good coffee and cake when you stop off to support the charity. My 2yo son loved the donkeys and the tractor in the distant field! Haha!

Just the most amazing sanctuary with fantastic staff members- so caring. They have 100 donkeys (their max. capacity) on-site, all named and with placards explaining each donkeys story - they’re all so tranquil and engaging. It’s a must visit, even if you have to drive a little.

Loved visiting here in November. All of the donkeys are well looked after and there’s also a tea room where we had a cream tea and sheltered from the rain. Lovely place to visit and free to get in. Gift shop with lots of goodies and we’ve now ended up adopting 2 of the donkeys 😊 Will be back in April

What a lovely little place. They had over 99 donkeys along with horses too. We spent about 2 hours visiting here and stopped in the cafe and gift shop too. It is a completely vegan cafe, the cakes were the best bit. We took our dog with us and he also enjoyed seeing all the donkeys. It really is a lovely place to take your children our daughter had a great time.

Wonderful gem of a place. Lovely staff and volunteers who took the time to chat to my animal loving partner and helped her find the donkey I adopted for her as a birthday present. Would be a great place for kids to visit. Vegan cafe with a wide range of sweet and savoury options. A special place to visit!

One of my new favourite places to visit when I need some fresh air and some peace. The donkeys are wonderful and very well cared for- the staff are absolutely brilliant and lovely to chat to. Always clean and pleasant to stroll around for an hour. We tried the cafe out today, it's reasonably-priced, the hot drinks are tasty, and the cake was delicious. I could not recommend it enough!

Fantastic few hours out. The hard work the staff does shows. All the donkeys look very healthy and happy. It has a vegan cafe toilets and shops. It’s free to visit but you can give a donation which I highly suggest doing as it really does help them. Parking is great and it’s dog friendly. Staff are great.

lovely place, seemingly excellent home for the donkeys and horses. quality vegan cafe serving tea, cakes and sandwiches although the scones and pasties sell out very fast - completely sold out when we went at 1pm! We love to see humans living at peace with our fellow beings 🫶🏾

We love this sanctuary! Such a nice relaxing environment where you can enjoy time with donkeys, have a bray'k relaxing with a coffee and great tasting home made cake or hot food in the Vegan Tea Bray'k coffee shop. A place we enjoy visiting often and you can even get to say hi and stroke the donkeys! Staff are always friendly and pleased to welcome you. Its also free to enter, donations welcomed and have a great gift shop too.
