Loved this trip so much we became members. Fantastic day out for families, couples or on your own. Its a leisurely half a days walk around the wetlands. There's an outdoor cage at the far end to break up the walk. Lots of benches in quiet spots and lots of gorgeous birds to watch. And feed in some areas. If your brave... the geese are a bit excited when you have some bird food to give them!

What great day, grounds very well kept and animals were well looked after. Large area and lots of walking as the wetlands animals have lots of space. Was a little expensive on food so being your own lunch.

Lovely way to spend a couple of hours. Baby loved seeing all the birds, and I loved the otter; there was an informative talk at the otter enclosure too. Flamingoes were a real highlight. Free parking and £15 entry was acceptable. There were good facilities throughout.

Very interesting day out if you like birds! :) Loads to see, and plenty of exhibits spread around the site. It feels expensive when you buy your tickets, but by the time we had spent the day there, and realised it is all self funded it didn't feel bad value for money. Would 100% visit again!

What a wonderful place! Unfortunately (but as expected) dogs aren’t allowed, this time we were travelling with a dog but will return another day. Loved watching the birds though as there were lots on the periphery.

It was a very cold day but all wrapped up snug we had a lovely visit. Easy to get round, lots to see and has changed hugely since I last visited many years ago and all for the better. Ended with a lovely cuppa in the café.

Lots to see and do. Enjoyed the otters and the opportunity to go in a canoe and see the wetlands from a bird perspective it was also good fun and great value at £10 per canoe for an hour. Plenty of hides to view the various birds and helpful to get out of the weather. Various habitats to look at including Hawaii area which is interesting 🤔.

Fantastic day out; loads of geese, swans and ducks to feed along the path. You can see the otters being fed and there's various talks on things too; not very long and with a screen for the visuals. Welly boot land looked great fun for the kids but definitely bring a change of clothes! It's not muddy but water play areas - wish I could have gone in! Full of beautiful plants and flowers too. The cafe was your average price for teas and coffees, the meals looked good (we didn't eat) but the cake was sublime!! I would 100% recommend on a sunny day 😊

It's such a lovely place to visit. I loved the goslings. So cute, I managed to smooth one while it was eating seed. They sell bags of seed for £1.50 and I had plenty of enjoyment feeding the geese. There was the odd one that preferred to grab your hand instead of the seed but it didn't hurt 🙂. I sat on a bench near the flamingo for lunch. It was so peaceful. There is plenty to see and adults and kids will enjoy it. I'll keep going back time and time again.

WWT Slimbridge is a great place to visit for all ages, especially during October half term. The new play equipment and seating in Wellie Boot Land is a big hit with kids, and the autumn colours are stunning. We enjoyed feeding the birds and seeing all the different wildlife. The only downside was that the coffee concession near the playground was closed, so we had to walk to the other end of the park. Overall, we had a great day out and would definitely recommend WWT Slimbridge to others.

Fun for all the family. Canoe safari, pond dipping, welly boot land, exhibitions, lovely birdlife, great walks, playground, gift shop, otters, food etc. You can easily spend all day there and still not do or see everything.

A fantastic day out. Loved being able to feed the birds. Every area planted up perfectly and the landscaping, bees and butterflies all around made for superb relaxing surroundings.

Amazing place full of birds and ducks. Lots of Hides to see local birds with knowledgeable friendly guides too. Lovely cafe with good selection of hot and cold food, meals and snacks. Wonderful shop, good selection of gifts and goodies. Well worth the entrance fee, spent all day here.

While not particularly interested in the wildlife - yet, this is a wonderful place to spend time relaxing and walking. In my last job I got to see a little of what goes on behind the scenes and talk to some of the staff, which showed a staggering amount of science and skill involved in caring for the birds.

What an amazing place this is! Excellent wetland centre where there is something for everyone of all ages to enjoy, from family visits, day trip tourists, educational visits, serious bird enthusiasts, wildlife photographers, nature & environmental students, this place has it all. Good cafe & gift shop, diverse array of bird species, environmental projects, estuary bird hides, attractive designed lakes & ponds, rain forest wildlife plus much more will together easily fill a day's visit. Annual membership is great value for unlimited visits, especially if local to the area. Highly recommended!

A lovely day out for all the family. Lots to see and do. Nice to be abe to fed the ducks, geese and swans. Food is available to buy for £1.50 for a decent sized bag. Very well laid out with good paths, good for buggies and wheelchairs. Good all weather attraction.

A wonderful place to visit and explore on either a sunny or wet day. A very wide variety of resident and migratory birds to see at any given time and brilliant for photographers (several good hides for spotting and photography in addition to the more open spaces). Little ones and big ones alike can also feed the birds with grain from the desk.

What a great place to take the little ones. The whole staff is busy caring for the well kept birds. The otters have a fantastic place to live too. There's a good park for the little ones in the sanctuary. Make sure they wear their wellies to splash in the water there.

We loved our visit to Slimbridge even on a very damp day. The boys really enjoyed the talks on otters and axolotl with the staff open to answer pretty much anything. Toad Hall was really fun, but the soft play is for under 120cm which our boys were annoyed about. Totally reasonable though! Food was good, breakfast was great. Cutlery could have been significantly cleaner. My boys loved feeding the ducks, watch out that the swans can be aggressive unless you consistently feed into the water. Welly land could be great if there was water in it - even in a down pour it was dry! Loos in the main building were OK but weren't many and we couldn't find any others. Definitely worth a visit if you have curious kids who like the outdoors - just don't forget your wellies! We'll be back to do the canoe safari in the summer.

Fabulous place to go with my grandchildren. Love the birds, watching the otters being fed, strolling around the lakes, wellyboot land is great for the children. All in all an excellent day out

Great day out with my wife and 10-month-old son. Arrived pretty much on opening time so parked up without issue and there was no queue at the ticket desk. Lots of species of bird to see. Facilities around the place were excellent. Restaurant was good although there was quite a queue to order food and drink. Staff were polite and helpful.

Had a great day here, I enjoyed hearing all the 'hide buzz' among the serious birders when something unusual was to be seen. I'll be up for another visit when the sun shines. It's great seeing the feeding time as well, and the commentary is very informative 👌

Arrived early and had a reasonable breakfast in the visitor centre. Onsite for about 5 hours, checked out all the hides and had a great wander about.

A lovely day out. Very accessible for wheelchair user and those with buggies. The price of hot drinks for the size was a bit steep otherwise I would have given 5 stars. Staff were knowledgeable when doing the talks or being asked questions.

First time visitors and have signed up for a membership. Quite a drive for us but so so worth it, we’ll be making good use of our it now! If you have children, definitely take wellies as plenty of puddles to splash in and so much to explore in the wellies land! Lovely cafe, friendly staff across the site and everywhere (apart from the expected bird poo! 😆) was so clean! Arts and craft available even in term time. Soft play probably only of interest to younger kids but plenty to entertain everyone at wellie land!

Had a pleasant time out in the fresh air. There are plenty of flat paths amongst the greenery and water. It is good for the little ones to walk amongst the various birds and ducks, who were very friendly. There is also a play area for children, but expect them to get wet. There is a nice gift shop too. Our only complaint was the cafe. Three of us had to accept an alternative soup, which turned out to be an almost tasteless 'spicy' carrot soup. The mash on the fourth adult meal turned into chips without a word of excuse, and the fish on the child's meal was dry. This caused us to leave disappointed. Wouldn't eat there again.

Brilliant. Lots to see. Staff are friendly and helpful. I was told by one that a certain flamingo is 74 years old. Amazing to think they can live so long

Fantastic attraction for all. I went with my partner and our one-year-old and had a great time. It's very big and you could easily spend a couple of hours walking around. The feeding talks were interesting and looked like there were plenty throughout the day alongside other events. The children's play area was especially good, with equipment to cater for a range of ages. My little boy loved feeding the geese, and they were very tame, coming right up to you. We didn't get to see everything, but we became members on the way out so will be back again soon.

Amazing day out. Lots of geese and ducks for children to feed (feed is £1.50 a bag). Lots of flamingos - all different types. Otters and different types of water birds. Unexpected highlight was 'toad hall' with frogs, toads and axolotls. Large playground, plenty of toilets dotted here and there and food/drink on site was not unreasonably priced.

Lovely visit to Slimbridge Wetland Centre today, haven't been since a school trip and it's changed so much. Lots to see and do, and a great day out for the kids! Highly recommend 💚

Good little day out. If kids have Blue Peter badges, they can get in free with a paying adult (2 kids to 1 paying adult) . The lady on reception was lovely with the kids and told me about membership deals which would be great if you're a regular visitor. There's quite a bit to look at. Kids highlight was probably wellie boot land.

OMG it is fantastic love seeing the birds 🐦 and I just wanted to say thanks so much. I saw lots of bird's and one thing I did not see was any rubbish at all. Very clean.

If we lived closer I'd definitely get a membership. It's well worth the money. Amazing place.

A lovely day out, plenty to do for both adults and children. You can tell the birds are all very happy here and there are lots of hides to sit and enjoy watching them. We were very happy to catch a sighting of a kingfisher nesting in the bank.
