Such an amazing seaside funfair. To start rides are great value as they give long cycles. Buying 50 tokens for £35 works out to 70p a token so most major rides are £2.10 - £2.70 which is amazing value compared to other seaside fairs these days. Only exception is Aerospace which is £4.90 with this deal which isn’t too bad and still much cheaper than the one at Hyde Park. All the staff are always friendly too and the place has such a nice atmosphere! It’s been modernised a lot over the past few years and is great for all ages and I can’t help but visit multiple times a year and even in the winter it’s a blast.

Absolutely amazing not had as much fun for ages and I don't do fairgrounds! The few rides I went on were great fun, my wife and 8 year old went on everything and loved it all. The staff were great and really friendly. Word of warning... don't go on the log flume unless you want to get soaked!!!!!!

Had a lovely walk along the beach this morning. A shame the theme park wasn't fully open but understand it's still early in the year. Lots of arcades open as well as shops. Lovely places to eat and drink.

Very fun adventure park loads of food available and the scenery it very nice and lively, perfect day out. Came here from London and had fun. Variety of rides and activities. The ring throwing on the glass bottles looks very easy but I bought 60 rings for £10 and not a single ring got on the glass bottles which was disappointing as it looks easy but actually isn't. Loads of prizes to be won, there was another booth that had win a real goldfish prize which was unique. Reasonable prices and nice place for a day out or trip if you're visiting.

What a wonderful day in this Pleasure Park! We spent around £35 for two of us and it is definitely worth to spend! It is not very busy in weekdays but definitely much more busy in weekends!

Great place to spend the day, loved seeing where Gavin and Stacy was filmed!!! Very busy, good rides for the kids, beach is lovely. Not the tidiest of places though loads of rubbish on the floor.needs more bins. Tbf it was bank holiday so very very busy. Also new public loos are needed like the one where you pay 20p to use. Very busy entering the area, we parked in by the new builds by the water and walked ten minutes. Great day as never been there and kids were knackered.

Enjoyable outing for the children. The weather was perfect, the beach and walkway were bustling with people and the vibe at the seafront was truly enjoyable. Plenty of food choices on offer. A great day was had by all.

Its ok. There's some basic rides here. Prices are always expensive but that's the way of life, if they charged less per ride they'd probably earn the same if not more as people would be willing to keep going back on the rides as opposed to just having one go. Location is good next to the sea front and train station. You are better off catching the train if the weather is going to be nice or you'll be sat in traffic for hours trying to reach the place. Happy riding.

Getting There: A train from Cardiff Central Platform 8. Transport for Wales allows children under the age of 16 to travel for free, so you can spend more cash on the rides. Affordability : It is cheaper to buy the tokens in bulk £=1token but the more you buy the more you save. So 50 tokens for £35.00. Or you can buy 27 tokens for £20.00. The majority of the rides are 3 tokens each, and that's the big rides for teens and adults. Accessibility : The large rides have health advisories. So if you have underlying health conditions like heart issues there are health warnings on them. They don't have ramps access either. Facilities and cleanliness The nearest public toilets are by the beach. They are disgusting. You would think that all the business and the council would club together to bring in a cleaning crew to maintain the toilets judging by the amount of revenue that visitors bring in. On the site itself. There were puddles of standing water where people hand to walk through to enter or exit. The whole place seems run down and many rides would just run with two people. It really does not seem to be run properly. Despite dodging people as you walk l don't think that people are coming because of the poor facilities. Food : There are a lot of places that sell fish and chips and traditional seaside fare. At affordable prices. I for one, despite having left over tokens will not be going back.

It's OK, living off Gavin & Stacey fame. But does have a very nice sandy beach the usual fish and chip shops and plenty of the sea side tat shop. But all said and done still worth a visit.

A lovely day out to Barry island. Easy to get to and parking plenty, but on the day we were there, it was pretty full with lots of coach parties. Beach nice with toilet facilities, plenty places to eat and walk. Personally for us, not sure we would go back as we are trying to tour as much of England and Wales as possible.

Ferris wheel, dodgems, water ride, lots to do. Got this magnet in the arcade, remembering Gavin & Stacey 😄 Get on the ferris wheel when you can, as it overlooks a lot of Barry. On the day we went, there is a token machine that gives you a set amount of tokens. (3 tokens to go on a ride for example) and the machine wasn't working, wouldnt take card payment. Take cash for easier transaction. A fun afternoon for all the family

Decided to visit Barry island as I haven't gone there for years. Overall a pleasant visit. The beach was nice. The fair was going but I didn't explore much of it. The amusement arcades were ok but there were very few new machines in them. I think the most modern one I saw was Tekken 5 which was released in 2004 😱. One good thing tho is you were allowed to take dogs into the arcades which I was pleasantly surprised.

the park is located in a gorgeous, picturesque location. however, most of the attractions are extremely dated, rundown, and dirty. id recommend checking out the surrounding areas instead. walking along the water and grabbing a bite to eat at finnegans inn would be a much better way to spend your time here.

Barrybados! Still great for an afternoon (or day) out. Also, if you're there on a Sunday there is a great little war museum in the Island railway station, that often has re-enactors visiting, hence the jeeps. The new ride, Aerospace, is terrifying. It's more fun standing aside and listening to the screams.

In winter it's just a load of arcades and food places. Not that great but a nice big beach.

Loved to visit Barry island. You must go there in summer when it’s sunny.

One of the worst places I have ever visited and I am originally from an industrial town in the North East of Englanf. Run down, dirty and depressing! Honestly don't bother. Beach looks lovely however the rest of the area is a dump unfortunately

We had a funtime at Barry Island, prices are similar to what you would pay at any fair, approx £2 to £3 per ride. A lot of big rides to be fair, saying that the biggest ride which went up very very high got stuck for around 20 minutes, we felt terrible for the people stuck up on it!. Nice beach and promenade close by too.

Went for day trip, this place has a good variety of rides for all ages, you have to buy tokens but plenty of machines around, prices are reasonable, some rides look too scary for the faint hearted but my daughter loved them, there are no toilets onsite and this let the place down tbh.

Good old fashioned seaside fun, lots to do for all the family. Great fish and chips bars, plenty to choose from, arcades, and ice cream parlours and a lovely beach.

Had an amazing day out. Barry island doesn't get the credit it deserves. . Planes going over couldn't of been going to anywhere that wasn't as nice today, for sun sea and sand. . 💯

Barry Island is a great place to visit for all ages. A great beach, promenade, arcades, coffee shops, restaurants and a fair ground. A large car park close by and disabled parking with direct access to all of the amenities.

Arrived at the park at 10 o'clock and it seemed to be deserted, even though it says they open from 10, so we went to the only place that was open - The Arcade. It was alright apart from the fact that slot machines were along side the usual games and the closest atm was over the other side of the street. Most machines give you tickets for prizes but most people would rather throw their tickets on the ground or leave them in the machine than redeem them for cheap cheap toys. Whole park opens at 10am, but most of the rides are NOT functional until 12pm. Not enough attendants as some cover multiple attractions, thus making you awkwardly wait and try to figure out if the attraction is even working that day. Parking is 1£ per hour.

We hadn't actually entered the park. But briefly had a walkabout along the main beach area. We both felt peckish & enjoyed a fish & chips. And shortly after an ice cream. In better health I'd go back again. People were lovely at both takeaways.

Not been here for a few years..Wasn't too busy all things considered. Has had some money spent on fairground. Much nicer than the last time I visited Huge queue for main chippy on the sea front. (As always )Had a paddle in the sea.. Happy days .

Had a good time, lower car park isn't really suitable for a wheelchair and I recommend the other car park ( I've been told it's suitable for wheelchair users )and inside the pleasure park uneven ground makes it slightly challenging for wheelchairs. But don't let this put you off going if your party has a wheelchair you will get round the park as I did.

First time visiting Barry Island. If you like amusement arcades, you'll love it here! There's also a funfair, crazy/mini golf and a beautiful sandy beach! It was so clean and tidy! Going back again tomorrow before we head home (staying at Cefn Mably) from our honeymoon, but will definitely be booking a holiday to Barry!
