Utterly fabulous place to stay - brilliant welcome and hospitality from Gary and Philip. Incredibly stylish. Awesome breakfast. They rescued us after a disaster in another hotel - could not be more grateful to them for their kindness and help. Would not hesitate to recommend and will back. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Memories of hotels are often lost to time - but there’s just a special something about The Torcroft that promises to linger on. One day after checkout and my Mum and I are already so eager to return that I’m unsure even a relocation to Timbuktu would put us off. Gary and Phillip are beautiful hosts that elevate any prior expectations above and beyond. If you’re mid-hunt and they have availability, there really isn’t any need to keep looking.

Gary & Philip are the best hosts ever, nothing is too much trouble and they've done a great job of creating a lovely vibe in their hotel. As soon as you walk into the Torcroft you are met with friendly faces and gorgeous decor. Our room was amazing - spotless, looked fancy, and with the most comfortable bed and pillows. Location is perfect, plus you get breakfast AND parking included in the price! What more could you ask for... Can't wait to go back next year.

Booked for a very last minute get away with my partner as we both have busy professions, upon arrival we were warmly greeted by both Gary and Phillip, and of course the gorgeous dogs, there was no rush no sense of check in check out, it was truly a beautifully homely stay. Our room, over 400sqf had a elegant Japanese inspiration with it's decor and furnishings. May I add.. the bathroom in of itself is to die for. Even though we are local it didn't feel like we were staying in just another home stay in Torquay. The tor croft is, chic, modern and most definitely a stunning boutique. Thank you Gary and Philip, from Joshua and Soraia, we will definitely be back!!

We booked two rooms and were with a 5 year old so made a mistake from the fire safety point of view; since we were unaware of the norms here, but Gary was quite accommodating and offered us an apartment and made us very comfortable, Really appreciate all the help and the hospitality, both Gary and Philip are superstars. Will definitely recommend this place, it’s beautiful and quiet….just what you need on a beach holiday. The property is neat and clean, the breakfast delicious the apartment is well equipped too with a very cool fireplace and we had a great time with our family.

Phil and Gary, the owners, were incredibly friendly. Patti and Punkie, the owner's dogs, are very adorable. The delicious breakfast, along with the naturally warm atmosphere, made our 4-night Christmas stay with 4 people truly enjoyable. Highly recommend this cozy retreat!

Cannot rate this place any higher. Gary and Philip are fantastic hosts. The beautiful property has a great atmosphere and is very clean and really well presented. We will definitely be coming back.

What can I say apart from wow! Such a fabulous place. We had the Compact Double Room which was perfect. Beautifully decorated, clean with a stunning ensuite. The 2 guys who own the place were super friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was exceptional. Would deffo return. Thank you guys for making our stay so enjoyable

Gary and Philip are the perfect hosts. Welcoming, friendly, and interested in you as a guest without being intrusive. Always happy to provide great recommendations for the local area. Nothing is too much trouble. Great breakfast options with locally sourced high-quality produce. Stylishly decorated throughout. Stayed in a spacious balcony suite, which we enjoyed from early morning coffee through afternoon tipple in the sun before venturing out to the Habour for dinner at a super seafood restaurant. The 'Honesty Bar' with extensive selection of spirits, wine, and mixers is just fabulous. They have also supplied all the essentials for cocktail making, including recipe book. My fiance particularly enjoyed the orange Angostura bitters with some very food Jura whisky. What a place! Made for an amazing birthday getaway. We will definitely be returning.

My sister and I have just returned from my belated birthday trip to Torquay. The Torcroft is looking GORGEOUS!!! Both Gary and Phil have used their creative skills to enhance all of the original features of the house beautifully. This, along with the brand new classy and luxurious finish to the bedrooms makes your stay so special here from start to finish. Hosts like Gary and Phil will have their customers returning just because of how nice and friendly they are (let alone the gorgeous house!) They gave us recommendations of nice places to visit in the area, went above and beyond with everything we needed and even allowed us a late check out this morning. The breakfast was delicious, everywhere and everything in the house is spotlessly clean. The ‘honesty bar’ and lounge is a personal favourite of ours. We made special cocktails from a cocktail recipe book provided and paid on check out. It was so relaxing and the atmosphere at the Torcroft is perfect for couples, friends, sisters etc! They accommodate for all your needs. If you haven’t stayed here, I urge you get it booked in before summer bookings sell out!! What a relaxed weekend we had here. Gary and Philip have a high standard, but at the same time are very relaxed, which makes you feel relaxed and comfortable during your stay, just what we crave. Everything you need is here, and the little extras, fresh milk, chilled water on tap, and great breakfast with fresh produce are all what makes your stay ,that little bit special. Beautiful place to stay in Torquay, great value for money too! Gary and Phillip are such welcoming hosts and genuinely care about you having a wonderful stay. The hotel is immaculately presented and beautifully decorated. Our room was lovely, comfy big bed with lovely linen, pillows and great towels. The shower was lovely and easy to use. Breakfast was superb and lots of choice. Really loved staying there and would 100% stay again and recommend to family and friends! Thank you Gary and Phillip for such a lovely time ❤️

I stayed here for 4 nights and I enjoyed the whole experience from the warm welcome of the owners Gary and Philip to the exceptional breakfast I had every morning. The interior design was beautiful. My kingsize bed was extremely comfortable as were the pillows and bedding. There was a portable fan available in my room. The location was ideal for the beach and there are a selection of restaurants and bars which are only 5 mins away walking. Thank you so much for your excellent hosting. I will definitely visit again! :-D

I'm struggling to find adequate superlatives to describe the Torcroft. Amazing fantastic brilliant seem so trivial compared to the experience of this hidden jewel. Firstly Gary and Phil are fantastic hosts with a discrete friendliness and Minka Susan their beautiful dog adding to the welcome. The rooms are wonderfully decorated as the public areas exuding quality and style with comfortable beds and pillows but our room no.2 had a small bathroom which is a small price to pay for a large room with a balcony and sea view. The lounge and honesty bar were restful and beautifully decorated with a large selection of quality drinks. The breakfast, a Full English was delicious plentiful with good quality ingredients with only one caveat which is personally I'd of preferred a small cafetiere rather than filtered but again it was a good coffee. I highly recommend this boutique hotel/B&B.

Gary, Philip & Staff are all lovely, very warm & welcoming! Breakfast delicious, plenty to choose from, you won't go hungry! Balcony room 3 with partial sea & garden view, is huge light & airy. Seating area with tv, large comfortably bed with tv. Good size shower room. Good choice of coffee's, plus a coffee machine, Cadbury hot chocolate, Yorkshire teabags, fresh milk in a flask & a large bottle of water from the cooler in the breakfast room! The honesty bar is fab , after a day out, it was nice to come back & chill out! The Torcroft is a fantastic place to stay! We highly recommend it!! Darren & Sharon. 😀

What can I say about the Torcroft it was absolutely amazing Gary and Phil made you very welcome the rooms where spotless clean breakfast was superb.The house it self is Victorian with many of its original features over looking Torquay so beautiful will definitely be returning for another holiday soon, Thanks again Gary and Phil Adrian/Linda

A very warm welcome to this spotlessly clean Boutique B&B. Conveniently located to walk into town. Woke up after a great night's sleep to a delicious full English! We'll definitely stay here again.
