Myself and my wife visited the Dales for a mini 5 day break in June and having never visited before can safely say it blew us away! The scenery is absolutely stunning and the entire area was just outstanding natural beauty. A tip from me is get on the Yorkshire Dales official Web site and have a look at the pre planned driving routes around the area, we did 3 in total and they are a perfect way to take in all the sights in a very relaxing but fun driving way. Loved the place and will return again.

Lovely area. Home of the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge. Also lots of other good hikes and waterfalls here. Lots of caves to explore too. Make sure you check out the local pubs and ales. Locals are friendly and helpful.

One of my favourite places to take in the UK. Roads are very quiet and the recent high profile Tour de France grand depart means the surfaces are very smooth. There are some challenges passes and finding refreshments is easy. Highly recommended.

The Dales National park is without a doubt one of the best National parks in the UK with endless Dales to drive through and explore or if you are fit you can do one of hundreds of well marked footpaths. Something different at every turn in the road . It can be a bit daunting driving on the mostly single track roads with passing places for the less experienced driving so please remember that πŸ˜‰ but I would definitely recommend a holiday in the Dales or a day out .

It's a stunning place to visit . So beautiful and still rural , hardly urbanised at all thank god. Still farming first .

It's on the outskirts of where I was born so I'm biased. If you want amusement arcades, racing simulators and popcorn, find it somewhere else. The dramatic landscape and beauty of nature here are breathtaking. It"s unspoiled wonderful and lovely. Go there.

Park up & go walking or cycling for a day in the countryside, the views and fresh are are lovely. Also dotted around you will find local visitor spots all over the Dales to enjoy (best to Google and search these locations before setting off, so you don't clog up the many narrow B roads due to miss-turns).

Beautiful area to hike, drive or cycle through. Breathtaking views unless the weather is foggy, rainy and snowing like the day we visited πŸ˜‰ Well worth the trip though.

Absolutely stunning country park. There's just so many different things to see and places to visit from magnificent limestone anomaly that is Malham Cove, to the fun and adventure filled trails of Bolton Abbey. There's certainly something for everyone. Most places are car friendly, and public transport is plentiful. Please respect the countryside on your visit but most of all, enjoy!

One of the most beautiful National Parks I have seen in the UK. The countryside is very scenic, its peple are warm and welcoming. Full of hidden gems both food-wise and from a scenery perspective. The 3 peaks challenge is certainly worth doing, it was a pleasure meeting so many hikers along the circuit. The kind of place where everyone greets everyone and a sense of community is breathing through the air.

Yorkshire Dales is amazing, we enjoyed the walks, waterfalls with my family. People always visit Lake District and Peak District but not many people know this is also beautiful.

Always loved the Dales it's a great place to visit. I've noticed more litter which is very disappointing. There will be no place left to park up in our campervans or motorhomes take a bin bag and take your rubbish home with you. Keep this place clean and tidy. Respect the countryside.

Great time outdoors. Beautiful weather, scenery and great company. The area is very dog friendly, but there are many farm animals that you pass through fields.

Took a motorcycle tour around the dales with a friend for the first time , and wow just stunning views. Roads are twisty and sheep are flocking to the noise, so slow and gentle to admire the views and pheasants with sun or fog equally pleasant . Will be back to admire it all again soon… what’s more to say the pics alone should will you to head the the area and enjoy. And get home after fully refreshed and revitalised …

Aysgarth falls in the Yorkshire Dales national park, is a great spot for a day out and what's even better is that it isΒ completely free! Enjoy this 4.2-km circular trail near Aysgarth, North Yorkshire.Β Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 1 h 0 min to complete. This trail is great for birding, hiking, and walking. kid-friendly water falls

Lovely walk, moderate difficulty, great to visit the cave at the end of it. Lots of stairs, so beware if you have knee problems.

Can I give it 10 stars? Beautiful hills and dales, characterful towns and villages, great pubs, etc etc. THE best place to relax or be active. Only problem is the almost complete lack of public transport in most parts.

Stunning views and tiny villages, you can travel for miles and hardly see any one. Small villages with amazing walks, well worth just getting in the car and just drive without a plan and see where you end up

Lovely place to visit. We went with my 9, 7 and 19 years old children. They loved the sceneries and water fall and the train. There a train in the Yorkshire dales which closes its offices at 3.15. I wish I new it before but anyways it was the best place to visit in nature. Saw sqyirls and loads of sheep's chicken horses, cows. There were loads of places for snacks and ice cream and also toilets in some places.

The Yorkshire Dales is simply a beautiful place to visit. Stunning scenic walks with villages and Hamlets a plenty to visit too. Treat with respect , the landscape and the homesteads ...It's not a ' theme park. ..and for walkers, beware of the quickly changing climate ...the cold and rain can envelop you very quickly !!!

Beautiful part of England. Varying landscapes from the wild to the pastoral. Hills, rivers, streams and moorland. Plenty of villages for refreshments and rest. Villages and towns can be very busy in the summer.

Unbelievable beauty and relatively quiet when compared to the peaks or lakes. So much to see and do

  • 5/5 Robert F. 8 months ago on Google
Beautiful scenery, friendly & helpful local people making for a nice visitor experience. Even a scenic bus service from Richmond serving the hamlets and villages all the way up to Keld. Best to check the No.30 service for times as been a rural service it's operating times vary day by day and according to passenger demand.
