This was our first visit here, and what can I say. A great museum telling the history of the REME's. Ample of free parking with a few disabled parking bays. The staff that we saw were very polite. Plenty to see and do. The museum is all on one level, so wheelchair friendly. We decided to have a meal in the cafe. The portion size was large and very tasty. The prices were very reasonable. A hot meal and a drink for under £10 each. If you are interested in the history, then a visit is a must.

Great museum, everything functional, tidy and informative. A great variety of displays and vehicles relative to it's size. At least an hour's worth of reading and some great videos.

We'd seen the signs for this a couple of times while driving through so we'd visit this weekend. There is a large car park at the site. The staff were fantastic - friendly and helpful and explained everything. The museum covers the history of the REME and has a mix of detailed personal anecdotes and recollections with a more global view too. There are also some hands on exhibits which allow you to try and recover a vehicle while under fire etc which are good fun. We probably spent a couple of hours on site including a visit to the lovely cafe and perusing the gift shop before we left. An engaging and educational museum, so glad we went.

Excellent museum for those interested in heavy metal, and have children to entertain, as the play area is great. Food is excellent

Visited today with our 3 & 6 year old who can be hard to keep entertained, but they (and us) thoroughly enjoyed it. From the moment we entered the team members were welcoming and engaging with the children. They explained about the hidden gnomes, which gave the children something to look out for as we went through the various sections. Lots of information about all the different vehicles and collections, audible sections that you can listen to, and a great selection of interactive stations that are great for both adults and children. Plenty of free parking on site, toilets were clean and so was the cafe which offered a nice selection of food and drink at reasonable prices. There is also a great play area through the cafe too, which caters for various age ranges and has an assault course that the children can do. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and spent a few hours here in all and will definitely return at a later date.

I very rarely write reviews, but visited the REME Museum yesterday with my 4 year old son and we cannot praise it highly enough. The exhibits and layout are engaging for both adults and children, the staff and volunteers were extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. The interactive games and puzzles for children were particularly good. Despite it being a comparatively small museum, we managed to spend a whole morning there! It was also very good value. Thank you to all at the REME Museum.

Vera Nice museus with pieces from Second World War, as well as things relates to its objectives. Staff is very friendly, it offers free parking lot. Inside it here is a cafeteria where you have a coffee or lunch. It offers afternoon tea, but requires reservation. Very I ate resting, I enjoyed and intend to be back with friends.

Took my 90yo Grandfather there today as he used to serve in REME and this weekend they are doing a wartime re-enactment with public demonstrations, weapon firing and a public performance by the Lyneham Military Wives Choir - all of which were excellent and thoroughly entertaining. A few breaks in the on-site cafe provided much needed respite and they even catered for my gluten intolerance with a gluten free bread roll for very nice pleasant bacon roll. I thoroughly recommend their coffee. (Much better than what they had last year)! The staff and volunteers were great, interactive and chatty as were the many re-enactors wearing period costume and uniform. I hope they trust this event next year. My only recommendations on things they could do better would be to (a) provide seating outside in the areas of the live demonstrations and (b) have a small PA system as we couldn't hear much of the talking and neither could those around us which was dissapointing. Not withstanding this, well run, and would certainly go again. Kudos to the team.

Excellent museum showing vehicles, objects and hands on activities around mechanical engineers in the army. Great for small children with an area for construction and plenty of hands on exhibits plus a nice playground. Cafe is also great too
