Built between 1861 and 63 by Charles Hansom who's brother Joseph built Arundel Cathedral and the pair of them built Plymouth Cathedral together is another example of Victorian genius . Outside it is lovely and just gets better once you enter , although I believe that Pevsner bloke disagrees with me . Take his advice and miss a treat in my opinion .there are two fantastic rose windows and a Pieta statue .there are relics here of Saint Justina of Padua and I loved the stations of the cross but I guess I am easily pleased .

Cathedral-sized church by the river, a large Gothic building in a largely Georgian city, with the most moving Pieta within, and other furnishings that, staggeringly, survived the Baedeker raids and 1960s liturgical reforms. Superb rood screen and stunning pulpit. Highly recommended.

The church is a hidden place in the heart of Bath, having beautifully stained glasses and fine arches.

Beautiful country church, nice mass with music. We happened upon a particularly long sermon with an appeal, so we were sadly unable to attend full mass and had to leave after offertory to make our train. I’m Sure the remaining mass was wonderful, just can’t comment. Of course will try again next time We are in Bath!
