Excellent day out, me and the family had an excellent time going on the different fair ground rides. Fast food wasn’t bad, plenty of places to top up your fairground cards which you need to pay with, however you do get a better deal using the mobile app. The rides are different prices and a few are a ridiculous price (inflatable balls) which cost £5ea and they were on for no more than 5 mins. The beach was fun and clean and their is a park across the road which we didn’t visit but I seen they had swan boats and other activities when driving past. The only thing I’d suggest is updating the payment meters in the car park as it’s cash only.

I highly recommend visiting this amazing pleasure beach park, which is situated alongside a beautiful, clean sandy beach. There is so much for kids to enjoy, including a wide variety of rides. Entry to the park is free, but you will need to purchase a Fun Card, which works like a pre-paid payment card that you can scan before going on each ride. The rides are affordable, costing between 2-2.5 fun points or £2-£2.5 per person, regardless of age. During our visit, my entire family enjoyed every single ride, and we pre-paid £40 using our Fun Card. However, there are top-up payment machines located all over the park if you need to add more funds. There are also plenty of places to eat, although I would recommend avoiding eating before going on any of the rollercoaster rides. We missed out on the opportunity to eat because the shops were closing around 5 pm. You and your family will love every minute at this park. There is a large parking lot available near the fish and chips shop that costs only £5 for the whole day. If you have enough time, I suggest taking a walk around the beach area, which is even more beautiful. You can see two lighthouses across from each other, making it a mesmerizing sight, especially during the sunset. Additionally, you can see the Tynemouth Priory and Castle from a distance, especially from the parking area and the beach, as well as from the Pleasure park area. If you are a lover of haunted places, like me, you must visit the Tynemouth Priory, which is known to be haunted by a Black Monk, a Pirate loot, and demon fairies. Unfortunately, I did not have enough time to visit, but I have already planned to visit it next time. Overall, this pleasure beach park is an excellent place to visit with your family. It offers a lot of entertainment, food options, and stunning scenery that will make your visit unforgettable.

How can anyone not enjoy their time there!!! Great variety of rides with a range of prices. Some rides for kids start from 1.5 tokens and can go up to 4 or even more. If you load £20 onto your card there is a £2 free credit. Our 3 and 6 year old had great fun!! They enjoyed the rides, the candy floss, the weather everything. There is so much to do, across the road there is the park with the train ride, Café, toilets, lake and playground. Behind the funfair, there is the sandy beach, skate park, another playground, basketball courts and so much more. 5 stars.

Great place for a family day out. It caters for all ages for rides and attractions. Very well priced on the rides. The amusements are great and they even have a guarantee win claw game.

Considering one would usually be on guard or feel out of control in these places; the digital credit system, card and facilities are really impressive. Had loads of fun and so did all the other people which made it a real funday Sunday for all!

it was kool with a k. the rides seemed fun but it was a little pricey ngl. i went on 3 rides and almost broke a rib in the process. my hip is bruised but its fine i guess.. its not that deep. i went on a ride with a friend and this mainly why im giving the 3 stars because there was a blonde boy who worked on it and he was very pretty and also had manners. probably too old for me but i still would smash 10/10. we made eye contact. he had blue eyes too. and immaculate fashion sense. wish i knew his name can we get a F in the chat please. we then went to the claw thing which earlier had broken down and sadly there were no bangable opperaters on this ride. i spent 3.5 points on this ride, was laughed at my little gorls and i almost lossed my glasses. it was fun just not my cup of tea. overally it was meh. i hope to come back soon though to see my blue eyes beauty. thanks

Good fun of the fair for the kids. Traditional Seaside arcades and attractions with rides for kids of all ages. Friday night rides are half price so good value. Note the ferris wheel is not part of Ocean Beach and need to be paid separately..

We really enjoyed Park with my son 10 years old. He loved rides. There are a lot of cafes. I spent for a couple of hours there only 30 pounds for my son. He was so happy. Very friendly staff. Thanks a million.

We ( my husband & I ) went to this Ocean Beach Place for a walkabout. We do not have young children. Just only two of us ( a pensioner 😂) even though this is a place for young children. I think it is also a good place for adults to enjoy watching the children playing on those rides and enjoying walking about. Having drinks or food. Sitting and chatting enjoying the cool breeze from the sea. And we can walk along the beach too. Highly recommended for children & adults of ALL ages.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

You don't need to book to go in just turn up on the day August 2021 The card system is brilliant you just load a card which they provide at a £l charge with how ever much you can afford minimum £4 and then go and it's easy to use the machines round the park to do this you don't need a degree like in some places I have been to and there's plenty of rides for teenagers aswell as toddler's £25 is about ok ? the machines take cash aswell as contactless card and the park opposite has a minuture railway at £150 each aswell as a boating lake , toilets and a swing park bit which is astro turfed

A very good place to be. Still have so much to explore. No free packing. You pay to pack and on a very busy day, packing may be an issue. Overall, its a place I will definitely visit again soon.

my daughter loves this place. always a good time out rides are fairly cheap, plenty of food places in Ocean Beach. There's a park over the road which has a large pond for the paddle boats and a mini sized steam train plenty of things to do here.

Good day out for the family. You need to buy a funcard with minimum £10 on it for credits to go on the rides so worth it if there for a few rides at least. The arcades are all fun and the machines do give quite a good amount of tickets. On top of this, the prizes are quite good for the tickets too.

Lots of fun in a gorgeous setting. But it's super expensive. Average was £3-£4 per person per ride.

Went on New Year's eve eve. Weather warm and dry. The grand kids loved it . Plenty of rides available limited by time constraints. Clean toilets and it felt reasonably safe. Not bad value either.

Brilliant day out for the full family loads of rides & amusement rides for everyone

  • 4/5 C H. 2 years ago on Google
Children really enjoyed the rides. Easy to park nearby (paid parking). You charge up a fun card at the machine. Credits are £1 each, & the rides they went on varied from 2 to 3.5 credits each. You can use one card for more than one person (so, if two people are going on the same ride, at the same time, they just scan it twice).

This ocean beach pleasure park has beautiful nature in the surrounding areas.. It's a place for families and all age groups. It's clean and well maintained. I definitely will recommend it as one of the beautiful places to visit and chill.

Visited on a sunny Saturday afternoon in August. Park was very crowded with no sign of social distancing at all. Great selection of rides to suit both young and older family members, and also thrill seekers too. There were some hand sanitizer dispensers around but quite a few of the ones I tried were empty. The park itself looked great, all the rides were open and operating, and there was a good family atmosphere. I wasn’t too keen on the new “tap and go” ride-card system for the rides and felt it was quite expensive, especially for families, but I suppose after the terrible time the industry has been through it was kind of inevitable somebody was going to have to pay for it… I would recommend Ocean Beach and will visit again next time I’m in the area.

This is a one stop family fun park. Beautiful and affordable. There are different games for everyone, arcade, fun park and so on. There is big rest rooms for both male and female. There are also food vendors that serve great meals as you play. I can call this place a safe and secure place for family fun.

This is a really great place for a fun day out although as you are paying in credits it can be very expensive. Me and another carer took a young girl (with autism) here as she loves rides, we did get one free carer wristband to allow one person to ride with her for free. All of the staff were great and very understanding of any additional needs. There were many places to eat and again as long as I purchased something to eat we were allowed to let our client eat her packed lunch on the premises. A great day out!

Went for the firework display with some friends and our little ones and it never disappoints! Been to the Shields fireworks for the last 2 years and can honestly say it'll probably be the main one I attend in the future too. Free display, so much parking, you can always make a night out of it and go on the rides/in the arcades as well. Lots of people having little fires on the beach as well, just really has that nice community feel about it on bonfire weekend! Also have been to Ocean Beach multiple times in the past and have always had fun, so even if you're looking for somewhere different for a day out to enjoy yourself, would definitely recommend. Lots to do, lots of places to eat and the beach is right there to have a nice walk down.

Great place to take children for a fun fay out. Plenty to do with plenty of choice of rides or spending time in the arcades or bowling. Plenty of choice of places to get something to eat and drink too

Go a lot during the summer the kids love it. The beach is sandy & I'd recommend booking a table at Colmans Fishbar (or if your kids are tired & wet the takeaway is lush too!)

We love coming here for a treat, having an age gap between the kids there's a good balance for them both, great rides, nice easy payment system with the card and even when busy que times are never bad, there are loads of choices for food while you are there and the arcades are good aswell with loads of choices! It's right next to the main beach. It's free to enter you just need to top up a card to go on the rides, there is toilets on site but only 1 block on a busy day there can be huge ques for this, there is also toilets in the dunes if you are a customer in there (soft play, bowling restaurant)

  • 5/5 Dave P. 7 months ago on Google
A really good little pleasure beach. Perhaps it doesn't have the key rides of other pleasure beaches and theme parks, but we had great fun on the rides without breaking the bank too much. I'd go here if your not sure if your kids are ready to jump up to bigger rides yet!

  • 5/5 Victoria T. 5 months ago on Google

Came here end of july 2020, 7 of us 4 adults 3 kids had a brilliant time we were just getting ready to come home and me and 1 of the kids were going on the claw but when we scanned the card there was only enough for one of us, the man on the ride was so lovely he let us both on, would like to say a big thankyou to him. Anybody got kids or not well worth a visit.

Went in mid-September, on a hot day. Surprisingly busy, good atmosphere. We were not really there for the rides, though they were all running. We went for fish and chips at one of the restaurants. Absolutely first class meal, really enjoyed it. The beach and views nearby excellent, too.

Great place to take the kids for a few hours. Good selection of rides considering the park isn't the biggest of places. I found the pricing for the rides fair and the new Ocean Beach payment card is much better than using cash. Ocean Beach is easy to get to via car or public transport. The area around the park is nice as well, with an actual park and a coastal walking/driving route.

Great, but pricey. Be prepared to spend a lot. Discounts on each person using the same mandatory top-up Ocean Beach contactless card on the same ride at the same time. These can be purchased at the machines in the area. Expect to pay £2-4 per ride not including the discount for multiple riders using the same card.
