Wow. Just wow. What an amazing spot and what a little slice of heaven. View extraordinary. Owner a pleasure to talk to. Food devine. I recommend the filet mignon. Wine list so extensive I got lost in it. I used to laugh when people said England had natural beauty on par with the South of France or the Galapagos Islands but now, I think of Turbo Island and I can't help but agree. Take a look at the photos I posted and you'll see what I mean. There goes the owner of Turbo Island. I must remember to thank him.

They say food can bring you back to your childhood. They say smell can bring your mind back to past memories almost lost. They say our pupils dilate as we behold perceived beauty. The trip I experience every time I visit this cultural hub is is nothing short of euphoric as every one of my senses gets titilated and my mind is flooded by memories lost. Truley a place for any occasion and a gem proudly displayed for any worthy of witnessing her glory.

Turbo Island is a great place to relax with my friends round a wood fire after a long day shouting at passing traffic. Special praise for the owner's Covid measures, they've provided a number of chairs carefully spaced around the island for covid-secure consumption of a bevvy or three. To close: you'll always find a home on Turbo Island

I'd been planning to travel from Australia just to experience the magic firsthand. I've now been informed that Turbo Island has fallen victim to the cruel mistress that is gentrification! However, as Solomon (the son of David) once said; the fire which sits atop a slab of recently paved concrete will burn the hottest!

Fantastic, great family vibe. Will be recommending to all our family friends. The kids had an amazing time. Thank you for being so hospitable. See you in 2023 for our next annual j knees up with the wife and kids. Real destination place. Will tell everyone in the office of this real south west gem.

A spiritual locus of Bristol. Though freshly tarmacked by babylon in an attempt to quell local movements of celebration and ceremony, all word from the native underground proffers that Turbo Island still retains much juju below. It seems 'Vibes' from all the many fireside meetings have been unintentionally set in stone by recent resurfacement. This is further fostering toward gravities of autonomous anarcho-lore, that is, a very serious situation of free-state playtime. If seeking an authentic welcome from Island relatives, we offer it a wise look to greet with some symbol of veneration fashioned before arrival. Visitors are advised not to forget your towel.

I don't think Community Garden really does justice to what is on offer here. It's one of those places that always find a way to surprise and delight, a smorgasbord of fun and inspiration that draws on local traditions but remixes them in a post-modern culture clash where chaos meets creativity. Let the smell of the bonfire awaken something deep within you as you wait for the local spices to kick in, drink deep of the artisanal brews and enjoy some pleasant discourse with an intellectual but unpretentious local crowd.

Beautiful spot of natural conservation, the jewel in the crown of central bristol. There is no better way to spend a balmy evening in town than to sit on a discarded sofa and warm yourself on the carcenogenic fumes from whatever is being set on fire that day. Plenty of nearby amenities to purchase Country Choice cider from and many friendly individuals will offer to help you find anything you might like which for some reason is not sold in the shops.

Words cannot describe how life changing this experience was. They have a unique service where they free you of your 1st-world gadgets and possessions to make you realise that material things don't matter. They were so sure of this service that they never even gave them back to me! Truly eye-opening

I had the pleasure of re-visiting Turbo Island yesterday, a trip I booked months back after hearing it had undergone a modernising transformation in recent times. My arrival coincided with a lively gathering of individuals who had flocked to the area, drawn by the beguiling strains of music (and smoke) that filled the air. The atmosphere was electric, with a palpable sense of excitement and conviviality permeating the entire vicinity. The throngs of people were a testament to the growing popularity of Turbo Island, and it was evident that the modernisation efforts had been a resounding success. It was heartening to see such an array of individuals, from all walks of life, coming together in such a convivial fashion. In sum, my experience at Turbo Island was nothing short of exceptional. The refurbished locale, replete with its newly-laid concrete surface and vibrant ambience, is a testament to the transformative power of modernisation. I would highly recommend a visit to this burgeoning hotspot, to soak up its convivial atmosphere and bask in the vibrant energy of its people.

The most bizarre part of Bristol! Has to be visited to experience the unique atmosphere. The characters you meet on a night is of the most exceptional quality. Fun and laughter guaranteed! It is also the only place you can buy a β€˜sex toy’ at 2am in the morning from a friendly local!

Beautiful wildlife and natural scenery. Great place for a family outing πŸ‘ͺ. Many fond memories here. Such a shame to hear the landowner is going to ruin this historic landmark - make your trip whilst unspoiled

Disgusting, but a well known and liked area of Bristol. There used to be a patch of grass here where people would sit and have bonfires. Now the council has removed the grass it is just a patch of concrete, but the people have not been stopped from having their fires, drinking and taking drugs here! Can be dangerous at night, with questionable characters hanging out.

Some say turbo island is best visited in the summer when you can be lulled by the locals on a warm evening, but even in winter it has its charm, wrap up warm and huddle round a fire

I’ve been a frequent visitor of turbo island for a while now. I always make a stop when I pass it on my way home. It has such a youthful energy which is contagious for all. A true staple of Bristol culture. It keeps you in the moment which you’ll never want to leave.

Fantastic, fire all hours and an electronic atmosphere. Best island onshore I've been to. If you've been to Bristol and haven't voyaged to Turbo Island - you have not been to Bristol.

If you visit Bristol without atleast spending a small visit to turbo island you'll have severely missed out. A good place to meet like-minded locals and a good place to warm up around the cosy friendly bonfires that happen on occasion. Brought the family down for a visit and easy to say we'll be coming back down whenever we have the chance!

The heroin was sublime. The rustic and old timey furniture let me melt. A fire pit to keep your feet warm. Music from local talent. What more can you ask for

Turbo Island makes me proud to be British, and Bristolian. Few countries or cities in the world have an island that symbolises the ideals of personal freedom and tolerance. The flame of Liberty Island finds its equal in the dance of its midnight flames.
