I rented the whole of the big house at the beginning of April for a special celebration. Henry and Penny were wonderful from the outset: lots of little touches, kind, generous, accommodating, flexible and friendly, available but not intrusive - the perfect hosts. The house is gorgeous; incredibly well-equipped (the kitchen is amazing), lovely big rooms, no noise from the road, breathtaking views and a perfect venue to unwind with friends without worrying about the neighbours. Thank you to them for being wonderful hosts and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Eastfield Lodge to anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable home-from-home.

We have just returned from Collett’s 4 night walking break in the Yorkshire Dales, with three days’ guided walks in Wensleydale and Swaledale. Penny was a fantastic guide, very experienced, knowledgeable, informative and great fun. She made everyone feel welcome and when the weather wasn’t too kind, she was able to modify the route to suit the conditions. The walks were excellent, lots of variety, amazing scenery and wildlife, and memorable. Tea and home-made cake on our return to Eastfield Lodge was a treat. Eastfield Lodge itself was a home from home. Bedrooms very comfortable and spacious and breakfast very large! Packed lunches made to order, and evening meals a mix of dinning in and local pubs. Couldn't ask for more. Many thanks to our hosts for the week, Penny, Henry, Sarah and Trevor. And to our fellow walkers. It was a great break and such a tonic.

Went to the Dales for a mini break and couldn’t recommend this place enough! The room had everything you could ever possibly need and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Great location, great owners, great experience in general!

Myself & husband love Leyburn, it's our second visit, it's so beautiful with plenty of places nearby to visit, walking, places to eat/drink. People are lovely & it's dog friendly too. We had the pleasure of staying in The Den, which was ideal for us. It was lovely & clean, bed was really comfortable & it had everything we needed for our 3 nights stay. The welcome starter pack was much appreciated too. We will definitely return & recommend to family & friends. Thank you to hosts Penny & Henry for a wonderful stay, Sharon & Kevin 😊

The house was clean and quite well equipped. The bed I slept in was comfortable however not all the guests in our party found this and though we had paid for the entire house including all the bedrooms he was unable to try a different room as our spare rooms( we only were a party of 6. 3 couples) had been locked this we found unacceptable as we had paid the full amount.

This is our fourth visit to Eastfield Lodge. From the very 1st visit we knew that this was a great find! Even before we arrived for the first visit Henry & Penny were helpful, sending details of local info with our booking. We use the lodge for work purposes and when we have stayed in the lodge for BnB, the breakfasts are delicious and we love the fact that it’s local produce used. We stayed in the Den this time around and again we were pleasantly surprised as to the size with a small double bedroom, small longe with kitchenette, table, sofa & day bed & large bathroom. ! Little touches of fresh flowers, cake & milk in the fridge on arrival show that Henry & Penny care about their guests. Ideal location for those of you who love walking holidays. Thoroughly recommend and suggest you take a look at their website for the various options they have available. Gail & Lisa Magnifisense

The hosts Henry and Penny were delightful, attentive and very professional. No request was too much, the rooms impeccable, the breakfast was exquisite with an attention to detail, organic, locally grown produce where quality was paramount over cost. The location and views are breathtaking. I highly recommend this guest house. I certainly will be returning to enjoy a great weekend at Eastfield Lodge.

Lovely Bed & Breakfast. This was our second time staying here and we will be returning in the future. The staff are all very attentive and welcoming, we checked in late and with an 8 week old baby but it was no problem at all. The rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. The breakfast is proudly locally sourced and each single ingredient was absolutely delicious. Wonderful time, will be back soon!

5* accommodation and location Recently refurbished, an absolutely beautiful place to stay while retaining a welcoming, homely feel. Home made cake on arrival was a lovely touch. We were a family group of 12 adults and 5 children. There was ample space to be together or apart and the soundproofing in the bedrooms was 100%, not a baby's cry was heard in the night. We were self catering and enjoyed using the palatial, well equipped kitchen. The views from the house are stunning and there are a huge range of activities available.

A lovely break in glorious Wensleydale. The Lodge has been renovated to a very high standard and beautifully decorated. Bedrooms airy and comfortable and great showers. All very stylish. Penny and Henry are most welcoming and affable hosts and went out of their way with suggestions and recommendations. The breakfasts were delicious. Leyburn is a great location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales.
