We were charged twice, first paid on Monday then charged again on Friday. We came on Friday to the closed reception and had no idea what to do to check in, after 5-10 minutes the receptionist(best part of the hotel) arrived. Gave us keys to our room and off we went. We specifically chose the comfort room as it looked a lot nicer, but we were given the standard room. The 'double' bed was just two single beds pushed together, the pillows were so soft and ended up giving us a bad neck. There was no oven gloves in the kitchen & the whole room seemed very dated. There was a party in the room next door, and a crying baby the other way. Felt more like a hostel than an apartment. Anyways the next day we spoke to the receptionist and were told the room was an upgrade!? Complained and got the room we paid for, which had no instructions on how to use any utensil and we couldn't get the heating to work. For the price we paid we expected a lot more, and it definitely is not a 5* hotel. Ideally we would like some money back for the stress caused, also £20 for parking is a steep. Managers should be ashamed to say it is a 5 star hotel.

Stayed here on my first holiday to Scotland. My daughters camera was stolen out of the room while we were away to eat. We Immediately reported it to the management and they instantly refused to believe us. The only employee to clean our room was conveniently off the next day. I wouldn’t stay here again if they paid me too. Lying and thieving crooks. Beware of your belongings

Almost everything was great, it was just that the next day, after me and my family left the hotel, my back started to hurt. After a couple of days pimple-like red bumps started appear on my back, and i believe that this was caused by bed bugs. I was sleeping on the sofa in living room, but since it was uncomfortable and i could feel every spring, we asked the reception to do something about. Later we saw that they put another mattress on the sofa. I didn't check for bed bugs but i believe theres might have been bed bugs on the matress. Otherwise, it would have been a big coincidence that immidiately after leaving the hotel, i got a rash on my back.

✨ Outstanding kind service on our arrival, with assistance with our luggage from the carpark to our apartment! Never before have I seen our name on the door of temporary accommodation, but there it was & it felt really welcoming. The apartment was perfectly appointed & spacious. I was sad that we were only staying one night as this accommodation was so ideal for a longer stay, with a kitchen (& washing machine 👍🏻), a separate living room & lovely bathroom. Should we find ourselves in again in this city, we will most definitely stay here again ☺️

Will use it again, good rooms great helpful staff and very central. Only down side is there are some lap dancing dodgy places close by (we had our kids with us), but there is a good Sainsbury’s local close by (150 m).

Great hotel. Stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment and it was very modern, clean and well furnished. Central location within easy walking distance of everything you'll need.

Great location, easy walk down to Grassmarket, accessibility to Royal Mile Easy. Great when travelling for a while to have access to washing machine which is also a dryer. Welcome basket, a lovely idea. Not much to look at from the outside, looks are deceptive. Apartments are fab. Definately recommend staying.

We were happy with our stay here. I am not sure I would call it a 5 star hotel, but we were traveling with kids and needed function, not 5 star amenities. Like most places, they were short staffed and check in was a little chaotic, but we were happy with our room and the location was great. I was a little put off by the adjacent 'public triangle' but didn't have any problems. Would recommend to anyone traveling with kids who prioritizes walkability and function.

Great value for money and great location. Walking distance to all major tourist attractions. Would stay here again if visiting Edinburgh. We are a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children), the 2 bedroomed accommodation had plenty of room, along with enough food essentials to keep us going in the morning.

Excellent location. Walking distance to everything. Located near 3 strip clubs, can get rowdy at night. The rooms are great. The one we had, had a few little cosmetic defects but the privacy, cleanliness and the hotel staff were wonderful. I couldn't give it a 5 because of the clubs and the bit of mold we saw, plus a few items requested that we never got, but the flat itself is worth the money.

I absolutely loved this place. My two friends and I shared the apartment and it was great. The bed was comfortable, we had everything we needed there. Coffee/ tea was well stocked. Conveniently located to everything that you’re interested in visiting. If we needed anything at all we just called down to the concierge or visited the desk. Chelsea you are amazingly wonderful and very helpful. Will totally stay here again. Thanks for a great welcome.

Absolutely shocking service from this so called 5 star residency. My family and I were meant to be staying here for our first trip since covid. Our flight was cancelled as we were sat in the airport. This establishment refused to refund the £753 we had paid due to their terms and conditions. Staff attitude was extremely poor, lacked empathy or any understanding due to the stress and upset this has caused. Hasn’t this country been through enough already? Without this couldn’t care less attitude. People work hard for their money and then receive appalling customer service from large companies who frankly have no respect or consideration for what people have experienced. The attitude I had was “computer says no”. Following on from your response which was extremely predictable You did not in my opinion act in an empathetic manner. You had the ability to refund the whole amount. 50% is not what we paid. We did not receive what we paid for the stay back. Also you fail to address the bad customer service that I received from your assistant manager - he literally couldn’t care less. In my opinion to which I am completely entitled. Your business acted not in the best interest of your customers. I know what I booked through booking.com I am fully aware of the terms and conditions but when your flight is cancelled an hour before you’re due to fly then most people I am sure would appreciate the frustration at losing all or half or whatever proportion of money they do. I am entitled to my opinion and I feel you could have done A LOT more and you need to train your staff to deal with such situations instead of treating everyone like a number or a pound sign.

Great place to stay in Edinburgh! Helpful, super friendly and hard working staff! Comfortable, well equipped apartments that will make it easy to have a pleasant stay. We had a unit with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, clean and reasonably well equipped kitchen and a living room with comfy couches and a view out onto a quiet street and the Castle in the background. Location is very close to the Castle and the Royal Mile and more restaurants than you can count. Museums and pubs are close too. Overall an excellent place to stay. Highly recommended!

Liked it, great location, nice friendly staff. Only negatives were dirty plates and bowls in cupboard on arrival and Freeview in bedrooms didn't work very well. Will definitely stay again.

Always a pleasure to stay at the Knight Residence. It’s well located to visit the city and the apartments have everything you need to be self sufficient - making it a very affordable way to spend time in Edinburgh. Apartments are always clean and tidy.

Amazing location, right in the heart of the city and with car parking facilities. Walking distance to Edinburgh Castel, shops, Grass market. The value for money as the Apartment was so clean and fresh. Staff are so friendly. The most affordable place to spend your holiday in Edinburgh.

Best place to stay in Edinburgh. Close to everything. Hassle free check in/out and parking space (paid)

While I wasn’t impressed with our apartment, the assistant manager Pawel and receptionist Chelsea are outstanding. They have gone above and beyond for us. The company Mansley seems poorly run and customer service by the main headquarters is lacking. We thank Pawel and Chelsea for their professionalism and outstanding service!
