April 2023 Update We had a really lovely afternoon walking around the Wetlands including a ride on the boat. We went with my daughter and her 7 month old twins and it was great seeing them enjoy watching the ducks, and birds. I definitely recommend it for small children, the paths are buggy friendly. We had lunch there too and the toasted sandwiches were very tasty, there were high chairs for the children, and they were happy to provide us with hot water to warm the babies bottles. There was lots to see and do It is always such a lovely place to visit rain or shine. There are excellent paths, and plenty of hides to shelter in if it rains. There is a lot of redevelopment work going on at the moment, and my favourite bridge has been dismantled. There is always plenty to see, and the birds and ducks change depending on the season.

Today was my family’s first visit to WWT Arundel. What a wonderful place. The site is well maintained and set out. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The boat rides are a highlight. The wildfowl are well treated. The cafe serves simple but well prepared food and the gift shop is well curated (particularly the range of books and bird-themed picture books). We will definitely visit again.

Absolutely beautiful flora and fauna. We loved the meandering walkways that gently guide you through the park. There's something to discover around every bend. I particularly loved the sand martin nesting bank, which was brimming with life. The wooden reed walkway, the willow objects, fences and sphere, and the Wetlands Secrets hut were other highlights. Not to mention the birds and the hides. It all feels very natural, and with the woods as the backdrop even a bit like a European jungle, yet is easily accessible. You can see glimpses of the castle between the trees, which gives everything a magical feeling. Personally I liked the wilder parts of the park more than the fenced in areas with the more exotic birds. We went on a slightly drizzly Friday and it wasn't crowded - we actually thought it was the perfect weather for the scenery and there were many options for shelter. If you want to go on a boat tour, don't hesitate booking, as they fill up very quickly.

Lovely time there, and we had beautiful weather. Saw lots of different birds. Easy to get round with a wheelchair. It's disabled friendly. We ate there in the cafe, but there are places to picnic. It has places and things for children to enjoy.

Lovely place to visit, we spent a good couple of hours here. There is plenty to see and do it's a place for everyone. For two adults it was £14.95 each that included gift aid, we also book the boat for £3.00 each and it was well worth it. To see some of these birds and ducks enjoying life was definitely the highlight.

Magnificent! We really enjoyed the day we spent here. I'd suggest a couple more staff talks / fixed time things to go see/do would be good. The staff were really good, whether that was in the restaurant/cafe area, the reception, the shop, the keepers, etc. I highly recommend. It also feels nice to know you are helping conservation efforts worldwide.

Excellent site to see a huge variety of birds in natural surroundings, main entrance is looking a little tired but don't let that put you off, the admission staff are very helpful and welcoming, inside the main building is a gift shop and cafe, once outside you immediately see a large area of water with lots of different birds, walkways then lead you around the site with a number of hides en route many sited opposite areas of water, there is a picnic area with tables and benches close to the main entrance. Parking is free and on site.

A truly gorgeous place! We are WWT members. We live near Slimbridge and visited Llanelli on our last holiday, so we especially loved that the birds that are locally part of the talks were actually on display here at Arundel (I.e. Magpie Geese and Pelicans). My children loved taking part in the arts & crafts on offer too.

A great place to go with two grandchildren aged 7 and nearly 14 which engaged both equally. Pond dipping and Boat Trip were highlights for them, seeing a Great White Egret from a hide over at the large reed bound lake for me, as well as Avocets and Redshank on the wildfowl pond near the entrance. Not a cheap day out but a very good one

What a fantastic place. Whatever happens, take the boat ride. Joel was our guide and boat captain. What an absolute legend. We learnt loads and he really went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. He even backed the boat up after spotting a Peregrine falcon and passed his binoculars around so that we could see it. You’ve hired the right man for the job there Wetlands. Did we see a Kingfisher? With Joel’s advice, yes we did! Exactly where he said it would be.

Lots of opportunities to see birds here - although it will be 90% ducks and gulls. Great to wander around for 2 hours and very pushchair accessible. Cafe has a lovely view over a wetlands area too. Ideally would've had more variety in birds.

Spent a lovely day here recently and cannot fault it. There are many birds to see within many different environments with both wild and captive. The pathways are wide with plenty of places to stop and view along with bird hides dotted around the site. The cafe does a nice latte with also a good choice of food. Will definitely be revisiting.

60 acres of just awesome time away from the noise and stress of the home, city and life. More wildlife than you can shake a camera lens or binocular at! Very friendly staff and even the other members of the public with big lens cameras are very helpful in what they have seen and where. Bit expensive to get in but it is so worth it. Memberships are available and very reasonable prices. They even have their own social media networks.. official and unofficial (member owned) where you can see the crop of the days captures!

Nice place when the weather is good. Restaurant does not have enough choices of food and they ran out pretty quickly of hot food. I would take packed lunch and drinks as the food is bit pricy and next to non existence. Also you can not use sitting area inside when the weather is bad. Please click on like if this was helpful.

It was nice. Lovely walk, however the restaurant had very little choices of food , most of the food were "out of stock" and it is very highly priced, it would probably nicer to visit in a warmer weather , we could not see many of the birds and animals , the bird exhibition was closed . The gift shop just by the entrance is also very highly priced.

It's good but compared with a normal nature reserve it's a bit zooish. However, the bird hides are very good, and eventually as the sun was rapidly disappearing I managed to get some pics of a Kingfisher. Had to use a load of exposure compensation, hence the very light background. Also saw lovely grey wagtail and the elusive water rail. Plus a pair of peregrine falcons on the adjacent hill. The visitor centre was good, staff friendly and helpful, and I loved the vegan pasties (even though I'm an omnivore).

Fabulous place to visit especially if you like photography. Great opportunities to get up close to many varieties of birds and loved the Pelicans!! Nice restaurant overlooking the lake offering tasty menu. Easy to spend a good few hours at any visit.

Really enjoyable afternoon. Lovely surroundings and really enjoyed the birds. Particularly enjoyed the little bird swimming pool with glass sides. We were treated to an underwater swimming display by one very active duck. Beautiful. Nice cafe and friendly staff. Easy to access for my husband's powered wheelchair.

Great day out, cafe with coffee and cake plus meals. Fantastic wildlife, boat ride through the reeds and walks through the pelicans, duck's and geese. Highly recommend

It wasn't a particularly warm & sunny day but I loved the walk around seeing all the lovely birds from far flung places and the hides & loved watching the Sand Martins flying in & out of their nests built into the hides walls. Lovely cafeteria for a nice pot of tea with a huge glass picture window overlooking the lake & you can see part of the castle. Highly recommended 💖
