Amazing night fair. Everything lit up looked amazing. Steam train and other rides all excellent. All the volunteers were great.

Very nice place to visit. Beautiful steam engines and attraction in a superb setting. The views of the surrounding countryside (particularly from the summit of the Quarry Railway) are breathtaking. The volunteers really work hard to keep everything in a good state of maintenance and repair. Plenty to see and do for all age groups. Approachable and knowledgeable staff that we spoke to. All in all highly recommended. 👍

Unfortunately this wasn't worth the cost of what we had to pay. Admittedly the cost of a standard child ticket comes with access to a lot of rides but there are only a few rides to choose from, none of which my children were interested in doing more than once. There were a few rides that were too big for my youngest and too small for my oldest... So that cut down on the choice even more. It looked like there was one of those huge inflatable crash pad things that you jump off a ledge and land on but it wasnt operating. If it had been working this is something my son would have done a number of times. Other than that it's basically swings and a merry go round. The haunted house, I'm not really even sure what to say, but I'm just glad it wasn't counted as a ride. We actually really enjoyed the old fashioned film. The kops one. Both my kids laughed a lot. Sound could have been louder though. Stalls only accepted cash so we didn't buy candy floss or go to the fishing for prizes. We bought some sweets from the main shop, which cost a bomb. As far as I could tell there were only 2 train rides working. One was pretty short. The other was really good. But all in all the tickets for 4 of us cost £50 and I'm afraid that's just too much for what was on offer.

Very good indeed, organised and fun. Amazing to see all the old stuff still going strong and the staff are very good indeed. Especially the older chap in the top 🎩 hat he made the experience. Fantastic job keeping the old fairs alive I think it needs more rides though and little stalls to just finish off the experience.

Amazing place to visit. Fairground rides powered by steam engines were fabulous. Steam roller, trains amazing to see and ride on. Volunteer staff are friendly and very dedicated to Hollycombe.

Went to the festival of steam was a tad pricey and no longer allowing you to visit again. Only allowed 5 rides 2 goes on the railway and a visit to the ghost house. All in all very disappointing, the festival itself was very interesting. I certainly won't visit again unless there's another festival

Hollycombe Steam Museum is Superb. Run by Volunteer enthusiasts it's a walk back in time to Steam Fairgrounds and attractions with various Steam trains with rides in the beautiful South Downs. Long may it continue. Highly recommended.

We absolutely love this place. I've been visiting since the mid 1980s! At the moment the big rides are being repaired and repainted so only the little rides are open, plus the trains, but we still had a fantastic day out. Children are 3 , 7 and 9 and they all enjoyed it.

Still as good as ever, unfortunately a lot of the big steam rides are currently under repair or reconstruction but there are still plenty of kids rides, traction engine and steam engine tour. Also a smaller ride on miniature railway as a late addition. Highly recommend to families looking for something fun to do.

What a great experience for children and adults alike. Mostly aimed at children, the steam rides are exciting and well cared for. The whole site is run by volunteers, who are friendly, and helpful. There is enough to do that you'll get a good day out here with hardly a wait for a ride.

Great Halloween event evening. Be careful in the haunted house. I fell over in there. Well worth a visit though.

As always a fantastic day out, pricey but worth it, considering the work the volunteers do to keep the steam rides/machines working as they do. Really like that the guys are happy to talk to you all about the rides and the work going on behind the scenes!

A fun slow paced day out with friends or family. Very welcoming volunteer staff. We visited on a Sunday for the model open day, small scale steam engines, model tanks and railways. The smell of coal powered engines, smoke and steam powered music proved a welcome break from modern fast paced life.

Good few hours out with the kids, steam rides and train, we went for Halloween in a sat evening, they could have made it more Halloween like bit the kids enjoyed the rides. We went to get a coffee from the cafe and we're told its 30 mins wait. We didn't wait, a small cake selection amd food available in the cafe. Lots of parking. Now we've been I won't return as I think we did everything that could be done.

Very nice collection. We went on a rally day so there were even more engines there than usual. 4 stars as service in the cafe was a touch slow (a little stressful with a toddler) but otherwise a great day out. Recommended.

Mainly volunteer, great fun, not all machinery was running day we went.. we had the ultimate ticket to go in all rides . But for adults this didn't amount to that many.. was still well worth the trip and I would return.. rides don't open until 12 - 12.30 unlike ticket telling you 11.30am..

Good day out bought the standard ticket but we spent all day there. Shame the Ferris wheel not there. Apparently being repaired.
