A super pub,the Woodbine, perhaps celebrating the cigarette or maybe the flower. Lots of beers on offer including Proper Job and Landlord from the cask. A very "woody"pub very relaxed and welcoming. A good experience, can't think of anything I would want different here. I thought they did pub jousting but it turned out to be a staff member using a pole to adjust the pavement awning. Pub jousting, what could possibly go wrong?

This place is without a doubt one of the best places I know, the atmosphere is welcoming and cozy, the food is amazing, and the customer service is astonishing! I am amazed by how well this place delivers on all the aspects of hospitality and food, I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting some great food and a beer, with friends or alone! As for the pricing, we paid 40 pounds for 3 main courses, drinks, and starters! So overall pricing is not too bad! Definitely a must-visit if you are in the area!

Loved the place for the most part. Didn’t enjoy the speed of bartenders clearing drinks. Tonight’s remake: “Are you finished with these three? They’ve been here for quite awhile.” ... so not the best service. But good drinks on tap and generally a nice place.

Great local pub. Delicious (spicy 😋) Thai food on weekdays. Cosy relaxed atmosphere. I don’t like Guinness but presume it’s good from how popular it is and the time they put into pouring them. Sometimes a bit slow to get in a food order but always worth the wait.

Love this pub! Very trendy crowd comes here too. They serve Thai (which is delicious) throughout the week and roast on a Sunday!

Without doubt my favourite pub in town. Always the friendliest welcome and the best Guinness you’ll find this side of the Irish Sea! They serve Thai food during the week and it’s bloomin banging! I’d definitely recommend the Sunday roast too, the most delicious Yorkshire puds and gravy!

Mick and the team run this fantastic pub on Blackstock Rd where you can watch the world go by from the pavement tables (or sit in the covered and heated rear garden of the weather is too inclement). I love the decor. Regular quiz-nights (Tuesdays) and good deals on wine every Wednesdays. Great Thai food during weekdays. Live music once in a while and big-screen sports (being close to The Emirates it does get busy on matchdays, also the only time a bouncer is on the door). The staff are great and really friendly (as is the pub-dog, Bowie). This is a proper local pub that does so much good for the community and caters for all: locals, passers-by, parents, kids, dogs and their humans. Go, you won't be disappointed!

Great pub for drinks or just Sunday roast with family and friends. Super cosy place, and the staff makes you feel super welcome. Great Sunday roast options

Disappointed. New to the neighborhood wanted to check this place out. We had a reservation but when we arrived they told me it had fallen through the cracks, so no table. Nowhere to sit. Chaotic. Not very inspired to try again.

Looooovely pub. Warm atmosphere, friendly service and a cracking Guinness. Didn't try the food, but it looked delicious. Definitely going back.

Great homely feeling pub but the staff really don't act like they want to be there. For an Irish pub it was very disappointing in that regard. Everything else was great. Definitely needs a reorg.

Possibly the rudest bar lady I have ever come across. I have never felt like more of an inconvenience to someone. Lovely Irish owner but let down by his staff. We waited for over 45 mins for our food, and our friend had finished his before ours came. No offer to take any thing off bill for this poor service.

Lovely early lunch before the Arsenal 3pm game. Booked a table of 4 and enjoyed the food with a Guinness whilst watching the early KO on one of the many screens. Very nice atmosphere, good Guinness and nice attentive staff.

Went for lunch today with some friends. Nice place, food was OK and the Irish guy who I think was running it was very nice. One of the barmaids however is very rude and dismissive and this did detract from the experience. Real shame tbh.

Friendly staff, and food was awesome, couple of proper lovely burgers. Thought it was very reasonably priced as well.

Not only really good fun, but they serve a seriously good pint of Guinness too... I'd highly recommend anyone to pop their head in here and have a few...Nice decor, lighting, seating areas and a good little garden for smoking too.... Thanks to Mick (the owner) from your fave pub-goers.... Kauri and Monica

There is nothing Irish about this pub. Been coming here since before it re-opened in 2007 and was mostly a decent pub with good, friendly staff. Recent months it's become a bit of a dive. Very young, inexperienced staff who don't clear the tables, have no customer skills, and, even worse, can't pour a decent Guinness! Let's hope this is a glitch... Edit: Your arrogant response says a lot. I've been drinking here since 1989. It was closed for maybe a decade, but re-opened as my favourite pub in Highbury. 2003? I thought it was 2005, but someone else told me 2007. I'm getting old so my memory is a bit hazy at times. I may be wrong with the date but how can my review be inaccurate? Under Adrian and Fiona it was a fantastic pub, he continues to make the Bank of Friendship a close rival. In recent years Emma has been in charge and it continued to be the best pub in the area. If things are starting to slide, you need to take notice. Not dismiss an honest review from someone who's drank in the Woodbine since before many of your customers and staff were born.

Lovely boozer with loads of screens showing the World Cup. It was nicely busy so a really good atmosphere and even had some Dutch fans in there which was a laugh. Lunch was good and reasonably priced, which the drinks were too. Will certainly be back.

We came across The Woodbine on our walk home from the Sam Fender gig. What a great atmosphere and Mick the owner is a legend! Brilliantly priced drinks and we will definitely be back again!

Horrendous booking system ruins a nice pub. Booked a table a month in advance for the football world cup and was sat outside (in November) with a poor view of the TV. Booked a table for 4 people for the six nations and when we arrived it was a 2 person table right in the way of people walking through/ the bar. Real shame as otherwise it's a lovely spot.

The Woodbine is a fantastic local Irish pub serving delicious Thai food during the week. I took a party of ten and the service was faultless. We enjoyed dinner and a few drinks - the pub itself looked great too. Look forward to returning soon.

Last night was our first visit to this delightful pub and it will definitely not be the last! We arrived a bit late for our reservation, but the landlord was very welcoming and happy to move our time. We spent the next three hours tucked into a comfy booth where we enjoyed friendly and attentive table service serving delicious and very reasonably priced wine and Thai food. The Woodbine offers a great atmosphere and music and is a cool relaxing place to be. . Will be back for St Patrick’s night ( must make a reservation soon!), if not before.

Have come to this pub for years and is always the go to pub before an Arsenal match! We’ve had the Thai food mid week before, which is always amazing, but yesterday was the first time having the roast. Can honestly say it did not disappoint!! Cannot fault a single item on the plate, everything was delicious! Highly recommend.
