😠 Been coming to Emmaus for years, but the prices have gotten to the point where they're ridiculous. They're catering for the vintage/retro "trendy" crowd instead of ordinary people in need of furniture and household items. Plus, they're selling some things which should just be binned, such as 15yr ol... People often mention good, cafe, lovely, Great, prices, furniture, great, visit, charity,

Been coming to Emmaus for years, but the prices have gotten to the point where they're ridiculous. They're catering for the vintage/retro "trendy" crowd instead of ordinary people in need of furniture and household items. Plus, they're selling some things which should just be binned, such as 15yr old smoke alarms in their "warehouse" section. Honestly, I don't think I'll be bothering visiting again.

Me and my husband used to come in here to buy for the kids but these days all that’s out it just junk and half of the stuff is broken in the toys bit, I saw someone wheeling away a lot of stuff that I thought was going to put out but just got took away, think all that’s left now for people coming to the shop is stuff that not being taken to the back to be sold elsewhere, which is what I was told by someone else who used to go there regularly. Very sad as we found some great things in here over the years but recently it’s changed for some reason. Very sad as we loved coming here.

Changing from 5 star to 2 star, used to love this place however all the good stock now gets sold on ebay and all the unwanted stock is sold in store

This is a great place for books, furniture, fabrics, threads, clothes, jewellery and a lot more. I love spending time here and I always meet nice people who are as thrilled as I am to get a good bargain 🙂 You can also have a cup of tea/coffee and a sandwich or a soup. The people working here are always very friendly.

What a lovely place to visit 🌸 good second hand stuff available, parking is a bit tight though, space wise 🌸 the first floor cafe is reasonably priced with a good selection of food & drink, the cakes are delicious & there's always something to find in the shop 🌸

Very disappointed. I have a question about an item they are selling on ebay I want to buy. Despite messaging them twice, I still haven't received a reply.

Just had a wardrobe dropped off. The guys were great especially as we had a big wardrobe to get up narrow stairs. Quick and polite service very pleased.

Lovely food at Lucies cafe, way better than some posh places&their prices. Mum even managed to get a lovely dress from the ladies before the fashion show&I've arranged a donation of my dining table& 8 chairs for someone else to love

Amazing charity shop. Huge, good quality furniture, nice cafe. Lovely kids books for only 20p or 30p. Was a bit disappointed that most of the kids toys had bits missing, but that's charity shops for you I suppose. Love their ethos too

I had a lot of furniture for them following a family death, but they didn't want it. As a charity shop, wanting free stock, they are far too fussy. For example, they told me they couldn't collect for 4 weeks and couldn't take a sofa because they already had 2! I won't be offering again.

Love a trip to Emmaus Mossley. I'm always recycling my preloved items, and inevitably come away with more than I brought! Excellent charity working for social justice.

We've been coming to Emmaus for years, however because of the pandemic, we haven't been for a few years. We decided to visit and were surprised by how much it had changed. It has really expanded and they now have more shops in the other buildings on site so there's lots to look at. It seems to be a lot more organised with most items priced now, which wasn't the case before and it used to have more of a jumble sale feel about it which isn't the case anymore and the prices reflect that. We visited the cafe which has also been upgraded and is more expensive now. It's worth a visit for its quirkiness and it's such a good cause, however I much preferred the old Emmaus where you had to rummage for a bargain and your coffee was made by one of the lovely team members and not by a machine.

Great place for second hand furniture and also for upcycling projects. Lots of different areas, LPS, DVDs, a library and a collectables section too. There's also a cafe that I will try next time around

It seems a bit tired or flat at the moment but maybe it's just a blip it's usually very good with plenty of variety and a happy vibe. I like the place and I'm sure things will soon be back to normal.
