Really charming place. It’s a wonderful ride on an old quarry railway. Narrow gauge line. Lovely little locomotives and a chance to travel in a polish carriage. A good shop with second books no one knows how to put through the till. A great exhibition in the engine shed and especially at the other end of the line. A great day out for families. Well priced too.

Excellent heritage railway. Nice little shop and ticket office. The narrow gauge railway winds it's way through Leighton Buzzard to the old sand quarry at Stonehenge Works Station. The railway was built to transport the high grade sand to the Grand Union Canal. Lots to see at the depot and there's a small café and shop. Great little adventure, and such lovely people too. 😎👍👍👍

Great fun for all ages, young & old, alike, well worth a visit to see a preserved, working narrow gauge railway, with its nostalgic industrial heritage and now preserving a number of unusual, quirky even, locomotives from diverse countries and different usage, including The Great War, also from the USA & India.

Was enjoyable, wanted to have a close look at the engine but didn't get an opportunity to pity they don't allow you access to it. Ride is about 90 mins with food either Fish n Chips or Sausage and Chips with bottle of water and a flapjack for afters. The track is right in the middle now of Housing estates so you really don't see that much apart from back gardens which is a pity. Allrun by volunteers who do a grand job though. There are toilets, a shop and plenty of parking.

Fantastic day out! Thoroughly enjoyed every minute. We have been several times for different events, in all weather, and each time has been well worth it. It's an interesting trip, suburban and countryside views. Love the engine shed. I wish I lived closer as I would love to be a volunteer here. Highly recommended!

Best day ever . My huge respect for volunteers the trip well worth the cost . And the toilets the cleanest i have seen apart from a 5 star hotel. To all those who run that place a very well done . Your passion for the trains the railway is evident.

Booked on the morning session and my son (4 y/o) did enjoy the experience. I would say however that the route isn't the most picturesque, typically road crossing and behind houses, so there isn't much to see. Reasonable pricing all the same and we didn't have time to experience the engine shed. Good but not great

Took my mum for mother's day. Something different to do. Brilliant. Well worth a day out with the kids but bring a pack up as the cafe is very basic.

Three generations of my family enjoyed a short ride behind a steam engine. Often the rides are longer. The driver took the trouble to explain the steam engine to my granddaughters. And I loved the very cheap second hand railway books!

Great little steam railway, friendly staff explain exactly what is going on and where. You can get up close with the engines and even have a ride on the footplate. Catering facilities on site where clean, tasty, well priced and clean.

This a lovely activity for kids they have activity sheets you can fill out along the way so good idea to bring a pen/pencil. The journey lasts around 30 minutes then it stops for around 20 minutes There is a little shop that sells lots of handmade items. Tea and coffee is available. There's a little sandpit a slide and old train you can sit in. The you go back to the station. There is lots of parking And a big park next to the train station

First visit today with 5 year old grandson. Brilliant. Staff helpful and informative and I think great value for money compared with similar venues, and other places to entertain the children. Lovely cafe with snacks, but you can bring your own if you prefer. Even the shop is well stocked with reasonably priced childrens gifts.

Nice local heritage narrow gadge line around the area loads of steam noise and excitement along the way the only reason for my four stars 🌟 is the views of yet more building Spoils it a little

A wonderful day out fir my Goddaughter, captain Jack was so lovely and patient with her. My Goddaughter kept talking about how she loved him ( she’s 7) . Thank you captain Jack! A million stars

The railway is a perfect slice of the past propped up by hard working enthusiasts. It'll be tough to entertain young children for over an hour, but there's lots to talk about and interact with

My 2YO son absolutely loved his visit here! We booked tickets the night before and went on a pirate themed 11:40 steam train. The staff had a smile on their faces, are so enthusiastic and made the visit very enjoyable. My son loved it!

Great place for train enthusiasts of all ages! Our (nearly) four year old grandson loved it (as did grandpa). Even granny agreed that it was very good. We had a real steam loco pull us for almost 30 minutes up to the Stonehenge works, through the residential areas of Leighton Buzzard. Everyone waves to the train! Then 30 minutes break for cup of tea and a look round before another 30 minute ride back. Excellent value. It wasn't too busy on our train but we know that they sometimes have to turn people away so booking in advance is advised.

Fabulous Easter Monday journey with an added egg hunt. Fun for the little ones and relaxing for adults. Nice to sit with a cup of tea on the return leg. The staff worked really hard and my granddaughter loved waving to the Easter Bunny. Recommended for a lovely couple of hours entertainment with a well stocked craft and tea shop at the Stonehenge Station.

A lovely preserved industrial railway that winds its way through the suburbs out into the countryside to an interesting collection of industrial vehicles at Stonehenge

Such a lovely family afternoon out. Thank you to all your wonderfully kind and thoughtful volunteers for making our little grandson's day. He really enjoyed his little train ride & meeting Santa. He played with his gift for ages when we got home. Thank you too to Aldi for the lovely mince pies!

We went for the Santa Railway special and what a wonderful experience it was. The volunteers/staff had everything covered including mince pies, biscuits for the kids and warmed squash. It was well organised and we all loved it. Nice touch with the colouring setup before seeing Santa too. Was our first visit but won't be the last!
