Plant based / vegan snacks could be better. There’s only one flap jack that is often out of stock. It’d be nice to have a plant based chocolate bar, energy bar and some fruit alongside the 10 or so dairy-based bars. Otherwise a great climbing centre!

Me and the kids love it here. Such a great and friendly atmosphere. I was nervous about taking the kids, but it's relaxed and plenty of routes kids can do. It's 10 years since I bouldered and instantly fell back in love with it here at depot. Only downside is it's a bit on the expensive side otherwise I'd come more.

Came to Sheffield to try out some of their bouldering gym's and was not disappointed. The Depot was fabulous. The facility was clean and spacious, with loads of room on the wall as well as the floor area to watch others climb (or wait your turn). There was so much bouldering to do, as well as a great looking training gym area and traverse walls and campusing. Loads of problems for beginners, intermediates and pros, with the difficulties set perfectly. Walls had lots of different angles so something for everyone. There is even a kids training area for very little ones (we saw some kind of club going on, very sweet) The staff were great and got us checked in quickly, as well as just being super friendly whilst we had a chat with the about the difference between some of the bouldering centres here in the South (we don't have the luxury of space down here). Loads of lockers and space to stash your stuff, and benches to have a drink or snack or order pizza like we did, it was delicious. It does get very cold there so bring layers (I wore my slippers when walking about as I'm too lazy to keep doing the laces up on my shoes) but I'm also a southerner so I'm a bit of a softy when it comes to temperature. Wish we could have stayed longer to try out more of the problems and we hope come again next year!

My kids are having lessons at Depot. It's brilliant. I'm no climber but love it here. The staff are really looking after my two and teaching them a new skill.

Has good challenging walls and climbs suitable for beginners too. A training centre is available at the back of the room. The building doesn't fare well in extreme heat or cold but can cope with more moderate temperature extremes. One of many locations in the UK

Very big bouldering centre - though perhaps not the most efficient use of space, it is really nice being able to find places to climb even when it's busy. Route setting was pretty good, I took my wife who isn't the most confident climber and she thought that some other gyms have more interesting route setting at lower grades - personally I enjoyed them and didn't find it an issue. Lots of variety in holds and some fairly unique holds not available in smaller centres which I found really cool. Cafe seemed good, food was actually very good for a gym - next time we visit I'll probably plan to eat here instead of finding somewhere nearby (that's supposed to be a compliment!). Lots of changing rooms and lockers/pigeon holes available. Toilets were fine, though they could probably be a bit cleaner. My only real gripe is that the culture didn't seem as friendly here as some other places (including other Depot gyms). Maybe we caught it at a bad time, but I think that generally climbing gym culture is cultivated by staff and management and more could be done to make this place feel really friendly and welcoming.

We bring our grandson every week to Sheffield climbing depot he is doing the nibas course and he loves it here. The staff are all super helpful and friendly and every member of staff that has coached my grandson, are so professional and patient with him as he can be a handful with too much confidence at times. We cant thank them enough for the work they put into our grandson in his climbing journey, but i know one day all their hard work will pay off and he will make them all proud.

Great place to go for beginners and those more advanced! It's big and has many different areas. It's also very family friendly and has a cafe with food options. Highly recommend this place.

Liked the centre, coffee was a little too bitter. Climbing wise, grades ramp up quite fast. Plenty of space, but does not feel like biggest Bouldering gym in UK.

A great climbing centre with plenty of space and a good variety of routes. We went for a youth comp which was extremely hard, but the staff were lovely and we will return another time, but maybe not for a comp 🙈🤣

Absolutely amazing wall - Huge, spacious and problems for all grades / abilities. Location is great too and very accessible even if parking is sometimes scarce. Facilities are great with single person changing rooms (huge plus for me), plenty of seating and kept clean. Cafe is decent too and serves things like pizzas which are generally delicious. After a long session it is nice having the option of grabbing food there. Only gripes are no areas for dogs, even if it was just an outside area it be a huge improvement. Also the manner of some members of staff could be better. It has been thankfully rare but in the past one of two have come across as quite rude to me and my friends.

My only issue here is the easy stuff is mostly boring up and down stuff. Walls like the works have interesting climbs for all climbers. Climbing sideways and under things is far more interesting when you're not very good at climbing.

I have been coming here for 2 years now, from my very first time, and haven't once felt like I needed more. I've tried other climbing walls in Sheffield but the setting, staff, music, and everything else make the place feel like home and very much worth the money. The only downsides are how hot it gets in summer, and it gets pretty busy, but even when the cars are overflowing out into other car parks I really don't find it to be a problem - especially as people usually show good etiquette, all in all 5*

Long term member, absolutely love the place only thing stopping a five star review is parking which isn’t sufficient for how popular it is.

After spending a month in Japan, this mega gym was a welcomed luxury. So much space. New, clean and extensive. Boards for hard bouldering and endurance work. Grades were soft as a baby's bottom. Legitimately 5 V grades easier than most Japanese gyms (granted, I'm 6'2", so Japanese gym bouldering was particularly tough for me).

Amazing climbing centre with a wide selection of grades and excellent setting, the training facilities are also fantastic, most importantly with a climbing centre the coffee was outstanding. Thank you for an amazing competition. From Aberystwyth university mountaineering club.

Great climbing wall with loads of room and so many great problems to go at. There for Crackfest 2023 so added excitement. The organisation was very good by all the staff which helps a lot and overall a terrific venue

This place is great... well equipt and lots of staff on hand to help out if needed. Worh a trip if you are a beginner or a pro! My daughter has NIBAS lessons and she really enjoy it! Definitely recommended!

I think this is fair to say but with Sheffield being the UK capital for Climbing then honestly there are better gyms. It's very user friendly, the training area is great and equipment top notch. I just felt something was lacking, imagination maybe I'm not sure. Routes quite predictable and difficulty very vague. Would visit again casually.

Fantastic place with friendly staff. This is "another" Depot but bigger and more (most) sophisticated of then all!? The volume of climbing problems feels infinitive with varieties of climbing big volumes (comp style) also available. There is a training and weights area and fantastic "woodies" with fully integrated LED system to help you navigate through the problems as well.

Really enjoyed this Depot. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Loses 1 star because crack was not back despite this poster. No cracks present! 😞

This place is massive compared to a lot of London gyms. Nice routesetting too - even the greens, whites, blues were creative and generally not ladder-like. Wide variety of holds. Massive comp wall with a wide range of grades. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean. Didn’t find many clocks is the only minor point. Defo returning

Depot is pretty big and there are lots of walls with many routes to try. The leveling seems fairly consistent and the gym area is very well equipped. Love climbing here.

Super friendly staff and great atmosphere - bought my first pair of climbing shoes here. Shout out to Lewis for being very helpful and spending a loooong time in helping me trial a bunch of them. I am very happy with the purchase. They also have a very generous return policy compared to others. Place is very clean and well maintained. Recommend very highly A+

Great place for bouldering and a gym workout! Lots of great climbing walls including an overhang section. Small cafe and shop also. Would have given 5 stars if it had air conditioning.

Always a great experience here. On a weekday evening it's not too packed but empty. Everyone, both staff and members are respectful, patient and friendly with each, it's a really nice atmosphere. The venue is superb condition with lots of challenges and even when falling from the top, the mats act as fantastic cushion. Best fall I've ever had lol.

Love climbing here, staff are all very friendly and helpful! Also brought some new shoes and one of the guys helped me out and advised me on which shoes would be best for me! Come here every Friday :)

This is alovely bouldering centre with lots of space, great mixed routes and wonderfully helpful and polite staff. We go at the weekends and it is never mega busy. The shop is well stocked with climbing shoes, gear and books and all the essenitals, and the staff are happy to help and advise. They do GREAT coffee, snacks and food and there is plenty of space to sit and enjoy it. The prices are very reasonable I think, as you can spend hours in there (as long as your arms can take!). There is a little gym area we have not used, but always has a few people working out. Finally, it has a really chill vibe - families are welcome, kids having a great time and everyone I have met has been nice. I love this place!

This is my favourite climbing cente to go to in Sheffield. Nice and helpful staff, easy to get in and during the day it's not so busy that you can't climb. Good route setters which makes for good climbs.

Great boulders, great facilities, great prices, great coffee, great food and a good selection of shoes and other equipment to buy in their shop. Also the staff here are AMAZING with children, on and off the wall. Couldn't recommend it more for a place to bring kids climbing.
