Fantastic hospitality beautiful surroundings top notch facilities lovely hosts Sheena and Jamie. They bought us a breakfast and BBQ pack which really helped settles us in. We loved cooking on the skillet pan in the fire pit. The boys enjoyed the hammock and lighting the fire in the morning. I can’t rate it highly enough. Stay with the Forge at Corwen it will make a memory which will last a lifetime!

Well, it was different from anything I'd experienced but reminds me my holiday school on the farm I used to go every holiday. And it was such fun. My recommendation definitely worth to go. Sarah and Harriet and Shona so welcome and helpful, very good organised. Food : sky in my mouths

Fantastic stay and Blue Bell Corner! Sheena was excellent at communicating and help with any query very swiftly. I ordered three hamper's, breakfast, celebration and BBQ for my stay which I feel was excellent value for money and all locally sourced products! I WOULD HIGLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE Thank you for an excellent weekend :)

Fantastic place that I'd recommend to anyone. It's a beautiful site with great views. Really comfortable tents and fully equipped kitchens with everything you could need. The games room and hill fort kept the kids well entertained (watching the sunset with a drink from the hill fort was pretty special too). And on top of all that we were really well looked after by Sheena and Jamie, with the free activities they put on (a tour of their farm, firelighting, guided walk up to the iron age fort nearby, and axe throwing) a real highlight. Thanks for having us!

We booked this experience some time ago looking for a few days of relaxation, And we weren't disappointed from the initial welcome from Lewis our host for the few days to the lovely accommodation. The little cabin was very cosy and full of little extras (tea coffee milk some throws for the chilly evening) cooking was on a two ring gas burner all we needed unfortunately we didn't try the outside fire pit and bbq due to heavy rain this would have been an excellent opportunity for my bbq culinary skills(look out next time ) The sleeping area was located in a lovely Gypsy caravan very comfortable and a good night's sleep also very warm with the wood burner same goes for the cabin. This break away was much needed and the experience has left us wanting more of the same very much recommend.

Had a fantastic few days here last week. Stayed in the old gypsy caravan (Bluebell Corner) which was in its own private corner of the site. Better still there wasn't anyone else booked in whilst I was there so had the whole place to myself. It was just me and my dog, it was lovely and peaceful and we both felt very relaxed. The caravan was cozy and character full. The adjacent cabin had everything you could need, double gas hob, sink, cutlery and crockery as well as tea coffee and hot chocolate! I was warmly welcomed by Sheena when I arrived in the car park and she showed me round my new home for the next few days. I was also left a bottle of milk and some fresh eggs which were delicious. The freshly picked wild flowers were also a lovely touch. Every evening I saw a barn owl fly overhead, having set the firepit going. There are a couple of walks to do from the site but you mainly have to drive to get anywhere. It is an easy drive into Snowdonia. Though there are nice places more local to find and enjoy the countryside. You can get 4g signal which was very handy when looking for places to visit. I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely recommend The Forge and Bluebell Corner. Thank you so much for a great holiday!

Lovely place. The team are all lovely. The tents and set-up with kitchen and wood burning stove in the tent all surpassed what I expected. Wild swim weekend was great as was delicious/plentiful food provided. Barn owl circling the field a real highlight for me too. Definitely hope to be back (ahem, may have already booked for next year!)

We stayed on The Forge with other members of a Autism charity CHAPS,46 people in total during the end of 6 week school holidays in August. We are a family of 5,with varying needs within the family unit,2 children with conplex/additional needs and a teenager, and 2 parents trying to do our best for everyone within the unit. The site was Imacculate, the Clamping tents were just perfect, and had great little extras, fresh wild flowers, family games. My personal favourite was the Hammock, though I didn't get as much chance to use as would've liked with the children spending most of their time relaxing within them. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need, there was a strong eco friendly approach to every aspect if the experience, which fitted in with our own ethos ( My husband owns a eco friendly approach cleaning business). After trying Camping, and Motorhoming which both didn't suit our whole family, we found the Glamping option available at this site, the perfect solution. The hot water bottles and beautiful charcoal blankets were extra touches that made our stay more comfortable, even luxury. My 10 year old son even commented I quote "I had the best sleep ever" we certainly noticed he slept right through the night and settled earlier than he ever has at home, sure that is the mixture of technology detox, and just being out in nature with no negative distractions. The reading materials, magazine's, books meant that adult quiet time were fully utilised. The children enjoyed the Bushcraft activities and Jamie was a perfect instructor displaying exemplary patience, and made it a very personalised experience his ability to remember each individual persons name was very impressive, and I personally felt added that extra personal touch to the stay,it made you feel like you mattered to his business. A big heartfelt thanks to Jamie for being such the perfect host nothing was ever to much trouble,he often visited site to see if there was any problems, and gave us updates on the forthcoming weather. Would highly recommend anyone to visit, and enjoy the perfect situated site to explore the Welsh scenery. This is a perfect site for anyone who has tried camping and hated it,but can't afford hotel prices,a perfect family getaway option during the holidays,I will definitely be a regular visitor, with and without the children lol 😂.

I came here with a group of friends on a hen do. Jamie & Sheena were so welcoming and accommodating to us, despite some places banning such groups. They were in touch before we arrived to answer any questions we might have and did so promptly, offering useful suggestions were to eat and shop and to help understand the local areas amenities. The camp site itself was very clean and tidy. The tents were lovely and comfortable and the kitchenette had everything you needed. Sheena gave us a warm welcome on arrival and Jamie started up the fire. It was a very peaceful site, despite a couple of games we played early on, but as mentioned, Jamie & Sheena were so accommodating we felt very at ease. I would highly recommend this for families and friends alike. I can't wait to go back. Thanks again Jamie & Sheena.

3 adults, 1 child and 1 dog stayed hereFantastic site - loved how it was off grid. Enjoyed having a camp fire and log fire in the tent. The outdoor kitchen had everything you could need including a dutch oven for the campfire! The Forge has beautiful scenery of the Welsh hills and mountains. The facilities were super clean, and I loved the fluffy bankets and good quality bedding in the tent. More than enough outdoor space for each tent without invading privacy. A long weekend needed next season!

Thanks to the Forge for a beautiful retreat for an evening to celebrate a birthday. We had everything we needed and really enjoyed the games room and campfire. Amazing views and good walks on the doorstep. Thank you, we will be staying again xx

We had a wonderful time at The Forge. Even though it was snowing outside we were cosy and warm. We had great fun with Ed doing axe throwing and bread making and did a fantastic foraging session with Jamie. A brilliant few days escape from city life.

We went for a wild swimming weekend adventure and it was absolutely amazing. At booking they inquired about food intolerances and I was very apologetic as I have many that are inconvenient to cook for when you have multiple guests. Not only did they go above and beyond with amazing meals - they also ensured to cater to allergies and intolerances and did not make me feel like it was a problem. Everything from arrival, the tent and the entire weekend was lovely. We were lucky with phenomenal weather and lovely people. Many of us from the small group we had made quite a bit of noise about wanting to return again for another adventure. Thank you Sheena and Emma for making this one of the best weekends we've had in a while and a cherished memory.

A fantastic weekend away with the family and the pups! The kids had a great time learning bushcraft skills and making friends with the other kids on the site. Definitely will come again and would recommend to anyone wanting to have a great weekend away in the countryside.

I visited The Forge for the third time to participate in a Mountain swim adventure. The host Sheena made me very welcome as always and Emma the leader for the mountain climb and swim was as energetic and supportive as ever. I always feel safe and supported with these two which helps enormously with confidence. A fun filled weekend (although very wet one!) with laughter, a cosy clamping experience and amazing food. The traditional storyteller topped off the evening with stories in a warm lodge with a log burner. I can't recommend The Forge enough and will definitely be back.

The Forge is one of the best places we have ever stayed. Myself, partner and our dog loved our 2 nights away enjoying the complete peace and quiet of the site - lovely local walks (thanks to Ed for the recommendation!), beautiful sunsets from the hill fort and cooking on the open fire. We couldn’t have asked for a better break after lockdown and we left feeling completely relaxed. we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Forge to others. Thanks to Sheena and the team - we can’t wait to come back!

We had the whole site to ourselves (20ish adults/ kids and one dog) for a long weekend and it was perfect. We had incredible weather so were able to make the most of a fire making activity for the kids, axe throwing lesson for all and wild swimming the nearby River Dee. Across all of this we each had space in our own tents. I was in Bluebell corner and found the meadow and morning light so calming. A few of our group went out on runs and walks, whereas others enjoyed sitting at the top of the hillfort, playing table tennis or cooking together. I really appreciate the focus on sustainable living and local products (in the shop and also in the tent kitchens). And the compost toilets were the cleanest I've ever seen. Thanks so much to the whole Forge team!
