I'm not sure if it really is the biggest second hand book store in the UK, as is claimed, but it sure is big. I had noticed it from the train as I was leaving on a previous visit to Rochester, and decided to go back and see it. The store staff were friendly and approachable, and directed me to the fiction section, which is right at the back of the store. It took me several minutes to get there after going up and down a couple of stairs. The store is very well organised. Books are divided into sections, by genre and alphabetically by author which is wonderful. All the books were neatly on shelves and the floors were completely clear of books and boxes. The only difficulty I had was choosing from the huge selection available and navigating back to the check out. Brilliant place for anyone who loves good value books.

I can't describe how happy & nostalgic this shop makes me feel. The smell hits you as you walk in and takes you back to easier, carefree days. Beautiful books: old and new, manuals and comics. There is something for everyone here: adult and child. Many different genres. Obscure, banned and discontinued items. Just make sure to bring your credit card, because you will want to buy everything 🧑🏻‍🏫😋🤎📚

Extensive range of books, clearly marked shelves that make finding the book you want easier. I picked up this copy of 'The Brothers Karamazov' that was hidden at the back of the first floor . Worth visiting for a browse

Lovely bookshop which I have been coming to for many years! Always find something to read. The prices are very fair and cant understand people complaining about books being expensive if they are 100 years old.
