We had our anniversary party there in August after our previous venue cancelled on us a few days before our event. Steve, Julie and the team were incredibly accommodating, and made our event more special by going above and beyond and with such a short time frame to enable us to have an exceptional evening. We could not have done it with out them and the barn looked magical.

The place is absolutely beautiful and relaxing. There are times in life where we find/seek peace and feel the need to clear our minds from all the worries we have in the world. This might be the place you are looking for. Try taking a walk around the place. There is also a wonderful garden for you to see. It’s my first time to visit the place and it is such a wonderful experience. I attended a holy mass and the weather was great and sunny. There is no parking fee but, it would be of great help if you donate to the monastery as the place needs to be well-maintained and tidy. Highly recommended place.

Beautiful and relaxing. You can enjoy a walk, picnics or pop into the cafe or restaurant on site. It's a very peaceful and scenic place that attracts families and worshipers. I stayed here for an event over a weekend. Accomodation is basic but nice and clean with tea and coffee making facilities, soaps bedding and towels provided. Thoroughly recommend a visit.

Beautiful place to visit, lovely calm atmosphere. This time I visited for the Summer Fayre, which was well attended with a good and varied range of stalls (lots of small independent sellers) and entertainment, including birds of pray. The restaurant selling cream teas seemed a little chaotic with a system with paper slips that didn't appear necessary. However, the volunteers and staff were really lovely and it was very busy, again the atmosphere was good.

As Catholic's we are fortunate to be able to have such places that we can visit as a retreat from the world. It's set in the village of aylesford not far from Rochester and Maidstone, so it's peaceful and secluded. On sight there are many things to see and do besides the mainstays of worship and prayer. I would recommend it to those who seek to come and pray, to learn about the Carmelites who founded their priory here for a unique retreat experience.

This is a very calm and relaxing place to visit. Even with the Christmas market. I'm not religious but still really enjoyed exploring the wonderful buildings and their beautiful surroundings.

This is an amazing place to visit and unwind. Lot of greenery and quiet space for people to relax and reflect. Of course the history of the priory is all around dating back to 1242. The architecture is amazing and thoroughly enjoyable. There is a cafe/ restaurant in a thatched barn. Toilets and parkings are in amazing good condition and charges are volunteering payments. Amazing place.

A very beautiful and scenic place to get away from everything. It has a pottery studio where you can sign up for lessons, as well as two places to get some food. I believe this is still being used for regular masses (12pm almost everyday). It was so peaceful when we went- we will definitely be going back!!

Very Beautiful and wonderful place to visit and reflect .We visited out of the usual season between Christmas and New year but still the sunshine came out for us to enjoy the grounds and gardens. The building and art is fantastic and pleasure to behold it truly is a hidden gem in Kent.
