😐 The staff are universally great, very friendly and attentive, constant flow of cuppa's. The centre seems well maintained and clean. The surgical team did a top notch job. If it wasn't for the one downside this place would completely deserve 5 stars. The downside then... The parking is horrific even... People often mention staff, hospital, park, care, time, parking, good, friendly, team, patients,

The staff are universally great, very friendly and attentive, constant flow of cuppa's. The centre seems well maintained and clean. The surgical team did a top notch job. If it wasn't for the one downside this place would completely deserve 5 stars. The downside then... The parking is horrific even by hospital parking standards, small car park with nowhere near sufficient spaces. You can literally see a few dozen stressed drivers roaming, hunting for a space. If you actually do manage to park you then better pray you have the correct change, and it must be change, since the cash machine and change machine in the hospital main entrance are for decoration only and will not actually serve to issue or change cash. Oh and for your wallets sake don't park on the poorly maintained crab grass as you'll get a ticket. You'd think with the profit margin on the car park (which is significant) they'd want to gouge as many patients as possible but I suspect they've worked out a deal with local garages to get a percentage of fuel ups.

World class doesn't really cut it. I never thought a serious operation and stay in a hospital could ever be this good. This place must have some of the best care givers I've encountered & this is my third OP in three year's at different hospitals including a prestigious private hospital that did my second op. The level of care for their patients & passion for their jobs as well as skill and knowledge is unbelievable. Other hospitals should all learn from this place. I struggle to believe this is NHS and not private. I travelled over 120 miles for this Op and it would of been worth traveling around the world to have had my surgery at this hospital now given the experiences I have had here. If your nervous about coming here DO NOT BE. They go above and beyond in the line of duty and have some of the nicest people I've ever met working here who go more then the extra mile. If I HAD to find a problem it would be the food they can afford to provide patients but that's because I consume things like expensive innocent smoothies and am a fussy eater anyway as well as suffering sickness from antibiotics and surgery some how I've only been sick once in this week since my major lower leg flap and adjustable frame surgery where they had to remove 70mm of dead or infected bone. The surgeons listen, the nurses listen and more importantly you can tell they care deeply about their pateints and the health servive they provide, it's just amazing. Obviously there is variation and some staff are clearly better then others but that's the nature of humanity and even their worst staff are better then some hospitals best. Bravo to this place. I didn't think places like this really existed. They should be very proud to be a part of this team that works incredibly hard. Even their agency staff are of the same general quality. That being excellent or even above if there is such a rating. I stayed here for X weeks and X Days in 2022 and would highly recommended these guys if your in need of the best of the best not just in England. But probably the world. As time has gone by and I have spent more days and nights here I have come across a minor issue with nurses being delayed with providing pain medication and having to wait for up to an hour to receive said pain relief. This is most prevelant with the night staff but I did not feel the need to give bad reviews as the worry about receiving a bad review was more then enough to spark a noticed change the two times this happened in the time I was here. No hospital is perfect and for me to have only experienced this issue twice is still incredibly impressive. I would still rate this hospital it's staff and care as exceptional. There are many reasons why these nurses could of been delayed and they did get me my pain relief within an hour and fifteen minutes of waking me to do observations. Overall this is still an incredibly good hospital the NHS should be proud of.

No complaints about the medical staff at all. We met a Doctor that gave us a first-class consultation and explanation of my wife's condition. At the time of visiting (March 2022) there was still a lot of Covid precautions in place. My main frustrations was with the car park. I'd driven up 70 odd miles from Portsmouth managed to make good time in the traffic to get there early for the appointment then spent almost 30 minutes trying to find a parking place. I could only park in the bays with the white lines as all of the yellow lined bays were for staff. I did several laps of the ”Main Car Park" stalking unsuspecting motorists hoping they were leaving. As they weren't I reluctantly tried some off street parking and then walking the rest of the way but understandably all of the streets nearby are parking permit only. The parking machine was pay and display and needed either coins, card, or contactless payment in advance and then you guess how long you think you're going to be. So in summary Doctor Good Parking Bad.

Modern facilities and friendly nurses but the doctors at the rheumatologist department are awful. They were dismissive and patronising at times with my spouse, difficult to get follow up and thorough tests.

Where can I start with this amazing hospital. The car park always has availability regardless of the time attended with ample space to park. When you enter the hospital you have a coffee station as well as amazing staff greeting you who are more the helpful when needing assistance. The doctors are great and so are the facilities within this hospital. I can not recommend this hospital highly enough with the level of great care given to patients.

Being a 'frequent flyer' as it were with my admissions and illnesses, this by far my favourite hospital. Small enough to be friendly and not intimidating. All the staff are professional and kind, hospital clean and tidy and a coffee shop patients can use!

My two stars are main operators who pick up your phone. They don’t put enough effort into speaking to patients and don’t sound the friendly when trying to reason with them. They can definitely put more effort. I am a cancer patient and I wish they can do more than `we can’t help you sorry’. I was just trying to confirm if I have an appointment for another department that didn’t pick up and apparently don’t work today which I am confused why do I have and appointment then and I live far and I am disabled meaning if I came to see for my self it would be a long day. But they proceeded to tell me they can’t help and quickly put me on hold each time iv been getting trying to get help. I’m confused and upset

Amazing staff. Very well looked after for my ankle replacement. The surgeons were fantastic and I felt very lucky to have access to the world leading medical procedures here.

I met Surgeon Andreas Naparus on Saturday 7th November 2020 along with his wonderful team of nurses. Surgeon Naparus ..performed a minor operation on my head which took two hours and thro all this I was treated with the greatest respect from everyone plus kindness, and consideration during the ordeal. I am recovering well at home, but would like to say a big big thank you to. Surgeon Andreas Naparus and Staff. Andal T Grovindan, Beena Soy, S, S,havmila. At the age of 87 it was my very first operation or a hospital visit, how good is that??. And another achievement this is my very first encounter with modern technology. Cheers! Mrs Eileen Hoskin.

The building is easy enough to find your way around and the cafe is nice (although coffee isn't as nice as when Costa were there) but there's usually a shortage of seating. So many staff don't know what they're doing - communication between staff is diabolical and there is also a level of arrogance, especially from the Sister in my ward. The nurse assigned to me didn't have a clue at all about anything so I had to stay in there 24 hours longer than I should have. I was only allowed to go home because I complained so much. Another nurse gave me Ibuprofen even though I hadn't eaten for 9 hours and didn't have anything with me. Appointments keep being rescheduled and sometimes it's only a couple of days before that I find out the x-ray isn't actually in Bristol anymore and I do actually have to visit Oxford.

First time that my son has been referred to the Nuffield for a wheelchair fitting. Fabulous staff, caring and very professional. Thanks to Linda and Tori plus the other staff members for such a wonderful experience for Neil. Their professionalism should be recognised. THANK YOU.

Disabled toilet is disabled, no room to put yr chair to side of loo to tfr across due to bin and high riser frame sat in the space and smells of pee. Eat well restaurant, gd food but coffee tastes like burnt water, disgusting!! Can't even get lardy cake from League of Friends anymore as they have 'changed supplier', it's all fancy baguettes and iced doughnuts, much preferred the soft fresh baps with fresh made fillings, it's just not the same since covid it appears. πŸ˜’πŸ˜’πŸ˜’πŸ˜’

Went in for a knee injury operation, Such a lovely team in the Recovery ward. I would like to personally thank Talia my student nurse for everything she did on the evening/night of 13th going into the morning of 14th November, she was so friendly and empathetic and just an absolute super star, She will do so well in her career, and future as will Varity who was my morning nurse on the 14th, she was so kind and attentive to all my needs, she was just so lovely. You have a really good team in Recovery. I can't fault them at all. Prabin and Pat and all the team on the short stay ward were also fantastic and took alot of time to help me which was really good of them, they went above and beyound, I felt it was important to mention this because people are so quick to complain but never as quick in giving praise and these teams deserve all the praise possible. Thank you for a really good experience at Nutfield. All the best Jessamy
