called prior to my op from physiotherapist on how I need to look after myself after my operation was kept up to date with everything .stay at the hospital was ok , facilities were great hence 2 stars . After my operation I had a very bad infection , called the Sulis hospital were extremely unhelpful, so went to my GP I was very poorly. Not a phone call or a word from Sulis hospital as promised.4 weeks later after my op I receive a letter saying that after our chat a week after surgery there is no need for a follow up as all was good, I had no chat with the Dr at Sulis so this was complete rubbish. Really need to concentrate on the after care not the before so much .

I was an NHS referral who had total hip replacement surgery on 11/5/2023 by Mr Berstock. I cannot thank him enough, what a wonderful man for changing peoples lives like this.. I’m eternally grateful. I use to click my lower back into place daily and I knew it was because of my hip… and surprise surprise… back has no issues at all. Oh and my hip…. ZERO pain at all. I could literally feel the bone on bone everyday and it was beyond stiff… but no more ! I’m a new woman! Thank you to all the staff, I was treated perfectly. I couldn’t be happier :) means so much

I had an excellent experience at Silos Hospital in Bath. The customer service was outstanding, with a friendly and attentive staff that made my stay comfortable. The quality of patient care exceeded my expectations, and the use of advanced technology equipment showcased their commitment to modern healthcare practices. I highly recommend Silos Hospital for their top-notch service and patient-centric approach.

This was my second visit to Sulis hospital thanks to DVLA for this again it was another test to check how my ticker was holding up. This was for the renewal of my HGV licence. Everything went really well, I had to travel by bus Peasedown plus a 17 minute walk , which is good exercise. At the hospital there were very nice and efficient reception staff and as I was early had a wait in the reception area, very nice too! I had my procedure and had to wait for about an hour until I had the Catheter removed, all very nice people always smiling, lovely! As I waited I had coffee from the deli, again really nice people who were really interested that your visit and treatment were good and that all was ok in the world. Altogether a really good experience which I would recommend to anyone who attends this hospital. Lovely people experience and very friendly, so yes a great experience and they can have my six out of five stars all day. Thanks lads and lasses for a good if not chosen long day.

Excellent from the minute you walk in the door. Every single member of staff can't do enough for you. Very clean. Hospitality amazing and the anesthetist is the most caring and kind person. Thank you everyone for taking such good care of me x

i was sent as an nhs patient on the 5/4/2022 in order to hasten treatment discussed with my consultant from the Great western hospital but the meeting at this hospital with the urology consultant here was a complete waste of my 70 mile round trip as i felt because i wasn't paying he was not going top help me.Five minute consultaion if that and an examination which i think he only did to appease me.I walked out of that place unable to understand why i even bothered going, wasting fuel and my time. I am now going to get in touch with my swindon nhs hospital and get the treatment they advised. dont care what anyone says the nhs treat people far better and with more respect than the arrogant snobbery that work for these private hospitals. As far i ma concerned i will never be darkening the sulis hospital doors ever again.I f i could give 0 out of 5 i would as yhey don't even deserve the 1 i had to score them.

Great hospital with very caring staff, great if you're one of the lucky ones who get treated here. I had x-rays as the Paulton one was broken ! Car park has this weird double parking system that only one car had used but this left it blocked in. Ok I guess if you're a inpatient. Overall very impressed.

The whole experience of my total hip replacement carried out by Mr James Berstock and his team was absolutely fantastic. After my first consultancy appointment in March 22 I was offered an appointment in late April which I had to turn down. The next date was August and here I am three days later having been in, had the surgery and come home. I can't believe that some other people with negative views are writing about the same place. Every single member of the team was incredibly helpful and polite. I was never once asked if I was private or NHS . I highly recommend this clinic. It's top quality.

I had knee replacement surgery at Sulis Hospital under Dr Kumar. Having met him for the initial consultation I was more than happy for him to operate on my osteoarthritic knee. The whole experience at Sulis was very positive and the operation went well. The level of communication prior to the operation from the hospital was first class. As was the short hospital stay. The nurses and physiotherapy staff were both caring and highly professional and very easy to talk with. The standard of food was also excellent. All of my expectations prior to the operation were exceeded. I am now in the recovery phase and will need to have my other knee replaced soon. And I would be delighted to have this done at the Sulis Hospital.

Awful treatment as an NHS patient. First they said they would give me the results of my CT scan. Then when that never happened they said they would send me a letter. Then when that never happened they said they would only give my results to my GP. Months of living in pain and these people can't even treat you with a little honesty or respect. Still waiting on my results.

Brought my friend here for an appointment. Ample parking, very clean throughout, very welcoming. Patients get free hot drinks (not sure how many) ample seating throughout comfy too especially sitting for a few hours. Doesn't smell like a hospital either.

Recently had day surgery here as an NHS patient. Exceptional care - friendly staff from reception to the nurses/ porters. Very pleased with the level of care here and friendliness of staff - just how you want to be treated when you are under the care of someone else. Just wanted to say an extra Thankyou to Katy especially in recovery - she was so lovely and kind to me, thankyou for making me feel so comfortable after my surgery. As well as to Cindy also who was fantastic and so welcoming. Very clean and tidy hospital - smells lovely. The food is also very fresh and this was just an added extra after my surgery! 5*s from me. Thankyou Sulis hospital for the level of care I received

As an NHS patient, total hip replacement surgery was carried out on 22/11/2022 and I returned home on the afternoon of the 25th. Without exception, everyone that I encountered at Sulis was considerate, caring, helpful and professional. The ambience was of a happy work force of people that enjoyed their jobs and took pride in giving of their best. The ladies that cleaned my room, the ones that brought the mouth watering food, the nursing assistants and the nurses, the physiotherapists; all gave me the impression that nothing could be too much trouble. Finally, a mention for Jamie, the gentlemen that took me to and from the X-ray department. He told me that since moving to Sulis, not that long ago, he's never felt more settled and accepted in his lifetime of employment. His determination to provide a very high level of service impressed me. I wish him well.

Firstly, all the Medical staff I encountered were absolutely brilliant. Reception staff a little 'indifferent'. Why do they always have to ask if you are Private or NHS patient as the first question, surely their systems is capable of locating you on your name alone. The paperwork sent prior to procedure was a little confusing. They sent papers not relevant to the procedure I was having (it seemed to be a 'one size fits all' package they had sent out). Also, when we got there we were told that the forms we signed were not needed and they don't know why we were sent them in the first place - made me feel a little frustrated. Five Stars for medical staff, 3 Stars for reception and the administration, hence overall 4 stars.

The consultant was patronising and treated my (24 year old) daughter like a child. He fobbed her off and gave excuse after excuse. Essentially he did not want to perform the surgery she required as it was slightly challenging due to her hyper-flexibility. He refused to accept that, as an athlete, she knew her body and what was happening. She had done 4 years of physiotherapy- not enough apparently! Luckily we have found a much more qualified surgeon with much more experience and a MUCH better attitude who is happy to proceed. Sorry , other aspects of Sulis have a great reputation- not foot and ankle!!

Still waiting for results from MRI scan 6 weeks later after being told it would be two weeks. Every time you ring if you can get through, you get given a different story. Just want to know what is happening. Very disappointing service.

Went in for an operation yesterday afternoon and I’m already back home after an overnight stay. The care from everyone there is outstanding. I have NEVER felt so cared for. I’d read on the reviews that the cheese and tomato sandwiches were lovely and I can definitely confirm this. I’ve come here as an NHS patient and although I’ve read a lot of reviews complaining that they didn’t receive the care the private patients did. I can honestly say this wasn’t the case for me. Having my own room overnight was lovely. Food was great, location is great. Everything there is beautiful. Sulis will be my first choice in future, I will find a way to pay it will most definitely be worth it. Thank you. Major gratitude to Mrs Ficquet, thank you for taking me seriously and HEARING what I had to say. I feel I’m going to have a much happier life now.

Absolutely top treatment and care from this hospital. From start to finish kept up to date with results. No waiting times at appointments, complementary drink, very pleasant atmosphere. Gavin Jennings is to be complemented for his skills, advice and after care.

Excellent. Lovely nurses. The care you should get at every hospital as an n.h.s. patient but often do not. As a retired phlebotomy nurse I have high standards , these were met effortlessly. I would recommend this hospital to everyone ( but it would be too busy!) Thank you.

Came to Sulis Hospital for a minor surgery. Arrived for 12:30 as instructed. I waited for 3 1/2 hours and then got told I’d have to wait another 3 hours. Absolutely terrible service. Embarrassing to call themselves private, don’t bother paying for it. Not worth the wait guys go else where.

I can not express how impressed I was with Sulis Hospital. Since being referred they have been nothing but attentive, supportive and very professional. I was in having a back operation and the surgeon (Dr Fellows) and his team were absolutely amazing. He's a surgeon that deserves an award for sure! A big thank you to all the care team that cared for me in pre op, recovery and on the ward! 💞

The hospital looks nice, even my Dr was nice... my surgery went with no complications but can I get my results?! I've called every week for two months to find out my appointment for my results. I've gone back to my Dr like suggested and she told me to keep calling. I then find out Ive missed my appointment but I never received a letter or txt like they said I would. I still don't kno my results, I can't book another appointment despite explaining my anxiety regarding the results... I've basically had key hole surgery for fun. Telling me my intestines are attached but giving me no more information regarding this. After care is shocking!! Now they've sent me a letter saying iv missed my appointment to go back to my drs... I've been in contact every week!!!! The computers all crashed the day of my op too. Admin staff are useless and spoke to a few of them now.

Had my hip replaced by Mr. James Berstock, to whom I will be forever grateful. The whole experience was incredibly positive from start to finish. The hospital works like a well oiled machine. I was so impressed with the standard of care and staff of all levels. I would highly recommend The Sulis. Thank you so much.

I had cataract surgery here last week - I cannot recommend them enough. Everyone was lovely - completely pain-free surgery and super quick. I am truly amazed what a difference it has made to my vision. Surgery took place at 9.25 am and after having a cup of tea and post op chat/information I left just after 10.00 am. Just wonderful - I had lots of worries beforehand, but they were completely unfounded. Recommend 100%.

Absolutely impossible to find out any information regarding a knee replacement for my elderly mother - she has tried phoning for weeks now and can never get through - always goes to a message and then no one call back - very poor service - she has been waiting for almost a year - if they could keep her better informed she wouldn’t have to ring - can’t be too much to ask that some information could be sent out to her it’s terrible for her mental health as she’s in agony. One star - needs to do better!
