BEWARE ON WEEKENDS The pictures advertised do not reflect where you actually stay. We were not advised that there was a wedding booked as well, which played music until late and was very rowdy with screaming and shouting well into the night. The reception was shut and the only staff available were too busy trying to deal with the wedding, one guy stood out side the door opposite me trying to deal with a passed out guess but was knocking on this person door and shouting his name at 1:00am. The hotel has no a/c but if we opened the window we had to listen to a couple having a screaming match and wedding party carrying on late into the night. Complete rip off rather than try and get my money back i would rather warn people off of this place

Staff service was excellent, grounds very picturesque, they even have few fish swimming about. Had a great night celebrating my brother inlaws wedding. Fabulous!!

A disgusting smell in the stairway going to room 75. No lighting in the corridor or emergency lighting so had to use the torch on our phone to locate our room, fire exit was propped open all night with a laundry cart. Banging from above as someone was in the loft space. Some reason the radiators was fully on and could not be turned off so boiling hot in the room. Shower temperature control not working so on extremely hot. Breakfast wasn’t the best sadly but coffee was good. From my experience I wouldn’t recommend staying here but location is lovely.

Nice location the rooms are basic as is the breakfast. The staff are fab however for the price it's a step up from Travel Lodges

Closed restaurant, inaccessible first floor rooms. No space to move around bed to get to shower/loo so you better be able bodied and stick thin. Double room is a single room. Aged, poor parking, boiling hot rooms with no air movement. Noisy corridors and floors. Pretty awful.

Excellent service, Breakfast and the location. The only thing would be better, if there was a fridge in the room.

Very basic room, only spoke to 2 staff and they were great, breakfast okay, beans were cold, only 2 spotlight bulbs working out of 6 in the bedroom and shower control knob came off in my hand when adjusting the cold water.

Stayed 2 nights for a wedding. Glad I was on my own as the rooms are tiny. Breakfast was OK. No lifts and dragged my luggage to my room and my key didn't work so found this stressful and hard work. Service was perfect. Bar prices were very expensive in my opinion.

Yes, rooms are on the small side, though was sufficient for my needs. Whole place was spotlessly clean. Location is fantastic. Lots of great places to eat nearby, and plenty of walking routes around too. I was here for two weeks whilst on a training course, and have to give a special mention to ALL of the wonderful staff here. So friendly, helpful, attentive and chatty, they really made it an enjoyable place to be!

We held our company Away Week at Moor Hall in May 2023 and couldn't have picked a better venue! The staff was so communicative and friendly (both in the lead up to the event, as well as on site). The grounds were lovely and the location was excellent. The food was amazing, and the technology in the conference room (for our remote colleagues!) was seamless.

While the building and the facilities looks OK the accommodation is below average. Rooms were very small and cold. Accommodation looked dated especially the carpets in all the alleyways. The sign boards took me directly to accommodations and then I had to walk all the way to reception to collect the keys. In the morning at 8 am there was noone at reception to checkout. Had to call on a number to leave the keys on the desk.

this is actually a 0 star rating charged me £18.50 for one slice of cold pork and 2 breadrolls. didnt even tell me i had to pay for the '3 course meal' until after i had it. i didnt stay at the hotel, i was just there to work whilst my dad had a work meeting there. if i knew id be charged so much for food that wasn't even that good, i wouldve brought my own lunch from somewhere else 😐

Like being at a posh school without any of the posh bits. Given that it's the Chartered Institute of Marketing's hotel you have to take your hat off to the way this is marketed. I mean the rooms look spacious and comfy. Mine was like a cupboard. The TV sound kept going off, first world problems. Lost my booking, key didn't work, on the plus side got my steps in. Breakfast was the usual mush of eggs. With overdone everything else. Won't be back. Lovely setting for a wedding though!

Idyllic location with plenty of room on the grounds. Feels like a retreat! Staff are beeping lovely & extremely helpful. Gym and library here too! The rooms are quite small & there doesn't seem to be any lifts to the rooms on the upper floors but I'm liking it :)

Clean with friendly and helpful staff. Only downside was noise as the walls are probably thin?

I recently stayed at Moor Hall and had a slight issue, but Libby and Lum were exemplary in their resolution of it so I can't hesitate from giving 5 stars. Will be back!
