What a gorgeous place! Definitely worth the 1,5h drive. Do not leave untill you do the scenic drive route. We absolutely loved the "land of music" part but all of it is so much fun ❤️😊 also surprisingly clean toilets (big plus in my book). Be prepared with extra time cause the kids will definitely take some time in the nice big playground before the walk.

A fantastic family day out. My kid's love this place. The play park is fantastic and the kid's could play here for hours. The magical walk around here is amazing for the kid's with all the different area's to explore. The tree house in the forest is very good. Has a small cafe and the toilets are very good. Well worth the drive from Ballymena.

Place is amazing. Firstly, it's FREE. The play park is amazing. Kids loved it and quite hard to get them away from it. Then came the giants lair. An absolutely lovely walk. Fairy houses, some with little buttons to press so that the fairys talk to you. Lovely artwork along the path, and stories to be told. Creeping past the witch was next so that we didn't wake her up. Then on to a fairy house that you can go inside, which was a little maze, with a rope bridge as well. Kids absolutely loved this part. Next we found a musical bit in the forest where the kids could bang the drum, or play the metal tubes that made noise (to keep the witch away). Overall, loads to do, and plenty of exploring for the kids to do. Fantastic day out. Bring a picnic.

10 out of 10, cracking spot to spend a day out with the family. It's about an hour and 15 minute drive from Dublin, just off the M1 before Newry. Very large car park that provides easy access to all amenities. The playground is just in front of the car park, and has a swing and merry go round that are accessible for wheelchair users. There are swings slides and a zip line, all very well maintained. The Giant's Lair trail starts and finishes right beside the playground. This is a real gem for small kids with lots of fairy houses to look at and explore. As you progress the story of Cu Chulainn is revealed, so educational for the older ones. The highlights include a witches head and a life sized fairy village complete with a rope bridge. Really an excellent spot for kids and a lovely enchanting forest for a stroll. The trail is circular and leads back to the playground. The cafe is called Synge & Byrne Cafe and is just off the car park. Very tasty breakfasts, coffee and wraps. The park itself also has very clean and well maintained toilets. Very nice spot.

Great place to go with or without kids. Great for all ages. I expected a bit more giant items, as the fairy stuff gets old as you walk along. Halfway through the forest walk there are also two tiny houses joined by a canopy walk which was fun for both adults and kids! Overall it was great, lots of things to see and do and my kids favourite bit was the playground at the entrance. Once you’re done, I would suggest a drive up the mountain, it has amazing views. This is an amazing park, lots to do for all ages. Amazing toilet facilities and cafe with plenty of picnic tables. Giants lair walk is brilliant and the kids absolutely love it. Can't think of a better free space to take the kids.

What a wonderful place to take the grandchildren (& Kids). All you need for a good day out. Hours of fun with a some great walks through the Fairy Kingdom and the Adventure Playgrounds suitable for all ages. Great Car Parking spaces with good amentities including toilets and Picnic tables. Synge and Byrne have a Cafe on the grounds with a good selection on menu. Weather is the only thing you need to wish for when visiting.

This was a wonderful surprise. Trails were nice and short or long and challenging. Good variety! The drive through the woods was also incredible - the views and the sheep were awesome. This would be a great place if I were traveling with my kids too. Come prepared for a long challenging trek if you want to do one of trails beyond the short walk in the woods. There seems like some great stuff to see on those trails, but I wasn’t prepared for 5+ miles in the sun. I was bummed!

This was really fantastic. Lots of parking, clean toilets, large playground for all ages, and then the giants walk was brilliant. A 3.2km loop packed with fairy doors and giants cups and books, witches and the hound of Cuchulainn. Will definitely bring the kids here again. Good coffee too from the van in the car park.

This forest park was simply magical, I enjoyed every second and felt like a child again. It was a beautiful walk and lots to do and see. They have made a great effort in the forest to keep it magical and natural.

Love this park for a great day out with the family! Fantastic parking, public toilets, great adventure playground, and brilliant walk around Fionn's Great Adventure trail. Able to bring the dog as well, just not in the playground.

Lots of parking which is all free. Great play park as well as the tree house style park if you walk up the hill/trail. Fairy trail nice for younger kids. On-site toilets and coffee/ice cream truck very handy however bring cash as signal means they can’t accept card. There is a forest drive, 2-3 miles and very high with dons tight corners so only do it if you have a head for heights and can control a car! Lovely place for a day out when it’s dry
