A gorgeous day today and very few people here! The carpark can hold probably about a dozen cars, no payment required. You can walk straight down to the beach but if you take the path heading upwards on the left you'll pass Hells Lum, a collapsed sea cave and if you carry on following the path over the boulder remains of Fort Fiddes, you'll come to a stoney beach. If you hop over the 'river' to the other side you can enter Hells Lum but please only do so when the weather has been dry for a week as the path is on the cliffside and can be muddy, slippy and treacherous! If you drive further down the road and turn into the Mill you can park at Cullykhan Bay where there are picnic tables but that beach is pebbles, no sand

A secluded quiet and rather tranquil spot with a Sandy beach and a view over the bay towards Pennan. Shallow clear waters and some rocks to explore. Overlooked by the adjacent Fort Fiddes which is worth and explore if only for the views.

A fabulous little beach with lots of interesting things (mostly caves) to explore. At low tide you walk around the base of the cliffs and try a bit of fishing for pollack. Watch you don’t get cut off by the incoming tide. On the left side looking out to see sea, there’s a low tide only cave you can access, which takes you to the next bay. Parking is obvious and so is the way down to the beach. The only downside for me is that, due to its compactness, the beach can become “crowded” with just a few people, and some seem to treat it like it’s their own private beach, without consideration for other beach users. Loud music, out of control fires, discarded packaging. Always just a few bad apples that make it unpleasant for everyone else. Anyway, don’t let that put you off as the chances are, if you come during the week and before the summer holidays, you’ll probably have the place to yourself. Very peaceful and beautiful.

Beautiful small beach with lots of rock pools and caves (tide dependant). Very safe for small children but a steep hike down from the car park so not good for disabled access.

Absolutely bliss! Being here has made everything so much more memorable, the views and the little adventures across the beach. Will be missed until I return again!

Very quiet and nice views. If you come around, please keep it clean, it's a beautiful piece of wild nature.

Bit of a steep path to get down to it but well worth it.

Beautiful little beach, we have been a few times and each time there was nobody there. We saw dolphin pods during one of our visits. It is the perfect private place if you wanted to do some watersports.
