Sing-Kee Oriental Supermarket

Grocery store Chinese supermarket Oriental goods store

😠 So I've been here a few times now. Opening times are 12pm - 8pm (today is Tuesday). Just turned up at 7:30pm, with staff still serving customers, but refusing to serve me, telling me that they close at 7pm. Says online that they close at 8pm and also on their front door, that they close at 8pm. Incr... People often mention supermarket, selection, products, store, visit, supermarkets, Asian, staff,

I use to visit to different Asain supermarkets in Liverpool and Manchester. This is the first I purchase Asian food in Leeds. It is a Medium-sized Asian supermarket with products from Hong Kong, Japan, Korea or Southeast Asia, etc.. Some products are more attractive than the ones in Manchester and Liverpool. There is also a Chinese restaurant next to the store too!

Me and my bf were absolutely surprised and offended when the girl at the cashier who we never met before asked where I am from and why I am the one who’s paying. It is a great supermarket if you are okay to be questioned about your personal life by total strangers for no reason.

Products are very expensive here, more so than the other Asian supermarkets. Bubble teas can be very inconsistent in flavour, as it depends on who makes them and how busy they are. Majority of the food is also microwaved (you can see them do it behind the till). They also seem to open and close whenever they want, as opposed to following their own opening times, which is just bizarre.

Store was quite nice, quite a lot of selection of Asian food and staff were alright, the price is on the higher side but it‘s a High Street Chinese supermarket so I sort of expecting that but be careful if anyone want to make these Korean food, it‘s £5 each and is literallyInstagram and that you can get for 50p and some dried rice cake that is 50p as well

My go-to oriental supermarket in Leeds. I think I can get mostly what I need from this store. The selection of raw products might be not that much but everything else is well covered. Their instant noodle selection is amazing. Pro tip: indomie is the best, always was.

Good selection of products but really bad customer service, especially at the till where I always get rude and rushed service. I can't think of one positive or even neutral interaction I've had at the till. Most of the products you can get online or at the other supermarket around the corner.

Good portion and price for 8 pcs of roll £4.8 for Salmon Sushi with 3 Fillings (My Go to is Tamago, Avocado, Sushi Ginger with Japanese Mayo) It’s freshly made when you place for order. However it is what you paid for, the salmon is tiny so don’t expect thick cut of salmon for the price you pay.

My order is #3084 1 FRESHASIA Sliced 5.49 1 Frozen bag 2.99 1 Haidilao Mushroom Flavour Hot Pot seasoning (wrong item: Ive received Broth flavour hot pot seasoning) 1.99 1 Liangzhisui HOTPOT Vermicilli 1.20 1 NONGSHIM Onion Flavoured Rings 0.95 1 LOTTE Margaret Buns 2.8 1 NONGSHIM Tempura Udon Noodle Shop 1.25 Its been almost 3 months now and I see other comments saying theyve got same concerns. I even went to shop and ask to the cashier. She only said just call the boss. When are you gonna refund these missing items ??? I did email same issues multiples times but no one emailed me back or call me. This is the first 1 star rating I gave anyone. Be responsible for the error otherwise the store gonna lose reputation and customers.

Ace store to get all the funky stuff you can't in normal supermarkets, greatly priced for imported products as well! The café is also amazing and a hidden gem, you can get baos, gyoza, char siu and dumplings for very reasonable prices (2 for £5 with everything not baos) and all very tasty. Bubble teas too, of course.

For a smallish supermarket it had.lots of choice. Worth a visit. I didn't try the cafe on the way out but it looked good.

Wide selection of goods for all facets of East Asian cuisine. I pop in here for their selection of soybean pastes. Staff are lovely, polite and ready to help where needed. There is an onsite cafe area which serves various hot meals and sweet treats. I've never stopped for a bite to eat here personally, but it certainly smells amazing everytime I visit the market, with everything seeming fairly priced, as well as looking delicious.

If you like your Chinese, Japanese, Korean items….this is the Best place to visit. You won’t be leaving empty handed thats for sure. All the shelves are stocked up with items for cooking your Asian meals, sauces, marinades, herbs, spices. They have wide selection of noodles from simple flavours to Very Spicy flavours. Variety of snacks and drinks !

Avoid their bubble tea!!!I don’t understand why people put five stars for their bubble tea. It was horrible. As a Taiwanese I have tried the most horrible bubble tea in my life. Today I was choosing between Chai Time and Sing Kee and I gave Sing kee a go. The original milk tea was not just disappointing, I literally puke. It was a disgusting mix of sugar and milk, and the tapioca was hard to chew only giving me stomachache. I know it is a convenient location so I might give the groceries another go, but definitely not the BUBBLE TEA!

Super friendly staff allowed me to easily find what I needed. Everything is very well organised and clearly labelled, so it's easy to navigate. Great for value and variety in the heart of Leeds

I love the variety in this supermarket but find it a bit on the expensive side. I know import costs can be a lot for some of the goods but when I compare prices to comparable goods in other supermarkets I find the mark up a bit high. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

Amazing super market with a great range of foods, sauces and seasonings. One of my go-to supermarkets when I'm looking for ingredients not catered for in mainstream supermarkets. Many many varieties of snacks and noodles too, including some truly spicy ones :)

Best sushi. We visit Leeds Centre every month and this supermarket is the main reason. The cafe makes amazing sushi whole you wait and the staff are really friendly. Amazing little place

Great place to shop and the drinks aren’t too bad. HOWEVER, DO NOT BUY FOOD IN THE RESTAURANT SECTION. It is incredibly overpriced for what it is and I felt a bit scammed afterwards. I paid £6 for instant ramen with shredded lettuce, a tamagoyaki and two tiny bits of breaded prawn (like the finger food at Christmas). The bao buns are overpriced too. Felt like an idiot eating the food there.

Great little supermarket, it’s on the expensive side but you’re buying imported goods so it’s expected. Was just very happy to find some black garlic.

Really good selection of foods, including various ones I can't find anywhere else, and if you request things they usually get them in.

Can't believe I always walk by this place and never went in. Now every visit to Leeds I end up in here buying some sort of Oriental snack! Great selection!

The woman at the till was incredibly rude. Instead of greeting the customer she rang the bell instead. She was also throwing the basket in the floor and throwing scanned items aggressively. Avoid going to the store if you could
