Great for walks, pubs, get your mead, gin, rum, wine, dogs stay on lead all time! Castle, priary, will cost you,! Free with English heratige, fantastic scenery 🤔

A large island with a ruined priory and castle. Remember to check the tide times to cross the causeway.

In this modern world we need a place to unwind and reset. Lindisfaŕne is the place, next time plan to stay on the island rather than the main land. All people that work on the island were exceptional. I am a person of no faith but I must admit at times I felt a spiritual connection.

What an absolute fantastic place this is, a must visit for everyone. Plenty of history, and some great mead thrown in.

Very rude staff, eyes rolled at using card to pay in the shop, very unnecessary. Shop also not dog friendly. All not very welcoming at all.

Staff went above and beyond, walking us round to the outside so our companion who is a wheelchair user could enjoy as much as us. Beautiful place. We thought we would struggle to fill several hours between tides but we didn’t get to see the whole island.

Absolute wonderful place. Holy island is a treasure. Seeing where the pilgrims crossed, such a historical place. Beautiful and tranquil.

we visited here 2 weeks ago... what a huge disappointment.... my friend was visiting from Australia and I thought holy island would be a lovely day out..... the 1st place we stopped was the centre... a lady ( in her fifties, long blond hair( was working... as we looked around gift shop before going in... she was so rude to customers, everything seemed like a huge inconvenience to her ( tourists!) , my friend waited to pay for a book..she placed it on the counter only to be snapped at..." I'm already serving".... there were two ladies, about 4 feet away, both with their backs to counter.....so we vontinued looking.... a few minutes later the lady snapped at other customers " your not allowed to take photos ".... at this point we put the book back, abandoned whole visit to centre and had a lovely visit to Castle, priory and other spots that actually like tourists !

We had a great walk around here. I loved watching the video about the vikings and hearing about when they came over. My daughter enjoyed some of the interactive things to do and it has a great little shop

Walking up to the centre, you are looking at medieval history, what a wonderful time we have had.

Interesting museum of island life and history. Unfortunately the exhibition space was closed when we visited, but the shop area had lots of books relating to the area, its history and folklore, and items made by local artists. We look forward to visiting again when the exhibitions are open.

Had a very rude experience in this shop with the manager or worker very rude. I walked in the the Viking bit by mistake and the look I got and the rudeness of the lady was unreal like I'd done it on purpose never will I go in this shop again
