Everything about the Walls oozes quality, the rooms, the decor, the individually cooked breakfasts and the little extras. The guest lounge is a bonus as is the honesty system in place for drinks and snacks. Everything is sourced locally in Northumberland, even the complementary biscuits and chocolates. The hosts are very friendly and attentive. You would have to go a very long way to find a guest house to match The Walls.

I'm lucky to be staying here for three nights. My room is immaculate, with many personal touches, from high end toiletries, a fine selection of beverages. The hosts are extremely knowledgeable, and friendly. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for them to put their guests at ease. The breakfast choices are varied, I really don't want to go home. All in all a wonderful experience

Outstanding place situated on the town walls overlooking the river. Beautiful Georgian building. Impeccable room and award winner 🏆 for the breakfast making a lovely end of our stay. Several decent real ale pubs nearby.

We have just returned from another enjoyable stay at The Walls. Whenever we visit Berwick-upon-Tweed this is our first choice of accommodation. The hosts Louise and Stephen are very welcoming and friendly. Stephen has superb knowledge about the area and always has suggestions on where to visit. The breakfast was excellent with a choice to suit everyone.

We stayed at the Walls in September of 2022 and loved it so much that we came back in May of 2023! Fabulous location within easy walking distance of restaurants. The room was large and comfortable, bathroom featured a large shower. There were two cozy chairs where one could sit and admire the view over the River Tweed while relaxing in the room. Amenities included a tea tray with biscuits and a candy treat. Breakfast included a fresh fruit salad, yogurt, fruit, granola and cereals, fresh baked bread in addition to a choice of several cooked breakfast options. Parking was located at the base of the walls in the Quay. Easy walk up a set of stairs to the front door. The hosts were welcoming and very attentive, and the room, itself, was very quiet. Pretty perfect, if you ask me.

Well deserved 5 star for this super guest house. We were made most welcome by our hosts. The room was gorgeous with a stunning view over the harbour. The breakfasts were outstanding with a good selection on the menu. Would most definitely stay here again.

Truly one of our favorite places we've ever stayed. Everything was perfect. The rooms were spacious and beautiful, the bathrooms were modern and recently updated, the food was all locally sourced and delicious, and the hosts were absolutely lovely. One of our family members has a food allergy and they went out of their way to accommodate his needs. The location on the ancient city walls was unique. Highly recommend.

My wife and I have stayed at The Walls twice now and thoroughly enjoyed both stays. We found the rooms to be very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast each morning was fantastic, with a wide range of options excellently prepared and presented. The hosts Stephen and Louise were very welcoming and extremely knowledgeable about the area. Many thanks!

What a gem of a find! We stayed in the Swan room which was spacious and very tastefully decorated. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and we had a thoroughly pleasant stay.

Probably the best B&B I've ever stayed in. Really reasonably priced and I was blown away by what we got for the money. The proprietors were both extremely friendly and open and chatty and had a wealth of local knowledge regarding takeaways, bars, pubs etc. The building itself was fantastic, with a great shared lounge area with an honesty bar (that we availed ourselves of). For the first B: We stayed in the Tweed room and it was beautiful and spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable with full sky movies and Netflix; the shower was great and nice and hot too. And the second B, the breakfast was fantastic and all made fresh for us, we were really impressed by the selection for either cooked or not, and whilst we waited for our cooked breakfast we enjoyed the fruit and yoghurt on the table. All in all 10/10 and I'd happily stay there again!

Absolutely wonderful stay. A beautiful B&B and I really want to return. Clean, well equipped large room with such friendly staff. As a single female traveller (with work this time) I felt safe and looked after. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Our second visit to The Walls which was just as good as the first time. The Swan and Cygnet rooms overlook the river and have everything one could need, including a very comfy bed. The breakfast was excellent.
