SUCH a beautiful little town; very picturesque and beautiful food at The East Pier Smokehouse too!! Saltpans and Windmill area make for a lovely stroll after lunch. Xx

A beautiful, unspoilt village with a small caravan park to the east. Lovely views from the harbour and the caravan park. Nice piece of history with the bonus of a windmill just past the caravan park.

This was a peaceful magical and quiet place. 8.30pm and only one pedestrian seen and no cars moving. Only sound was the sea birds . So far by far the most lovely village I stopped at on my travels in Scotland. Unfortunately no pubs ,maybe not such a bad thing though. We also had a swim in the salt water pool just outside the village below the caravan park. which is fed by the sea. It was like an infinity pool. Very cold and refreshing.A must try if visiting.

We visited on a lovely, sunny, October day. This would be a great place for a totally relaxing break. Even if the weather wasn't great it would still be an interesting part of coastal Scotland,to visit. This pictured boat garden was next to a gumboots garden. All the plants are planted in pairs of kindly donated gumboots.

St. Monans is a typical sweet artistic Scottish village. I'm not sure how much of adventure you can really find there, but if you want to wash your eyes with some beautiful colored houses and enjoy the magnificent scenery of this small and gorgeous village, it's harbour or it's colorful streets, then by god go for it, if only just for your soul's sake.
