A nice and calm experience. We went to a nearby cafe to grab cake and soft drinks during our wait for the next train. Thoroughly enjoyed both the diesel and steam trains.

What a lovely day out.. Distancing all correctly done and dogs welcome..result, loads of little station stops to grab a tea, have some food or just stretch your legs..take a small picnic and enjoy it

Took the Steam train here... Train master and all the staffs are most friendly among all the other stations they stopped. With smiled and waved at you everytime we passed by the stations.... station are keeping very well with a small lil musuem about the steam train.

Ideal for kids and adults alike. Staff were very friendly and the added bonus of a free ride on a vintage double decker bus. Whats not to like?

I am a lover of steam trains, and this was my first visit, my girlfriend surprised me on new year's day, all the volunteers were very helpful and well presented in vintage attire. The trains themselves seem to be well looked after.

Lovely railway and great atmosphere. Love the smell of the old days. Was lovely to see so many volunteers working. Every depot had a team busy restoring.

Excellent visit, good precautions and social distancing. Shady tent at Ropley to eat lunch. Great staff.

Saw a fake freight train with a steam engine.

Went for the steam gala. Not quite as many locomotives running as other galas and 50 minutes late by the end of the day but if you go to heritage lines then sometimes this happens. Having said that it was a great day out. Plenty to do and see at the various stations. A lovely ride from alton to Alresford. Would definitely recommend that you pay a visit

Nice preserved railway in the heart of the Hampshire countryside. Lots to see and do.

Good trip beer was good most passengers enjoyed, when the train broke down those that missed there train connections had a taxi arranged for them .The beer was then sold at half price as the train was pushed to Alton Station.

What a lovely end to 2023 tonight me and my family went on steam 🚂 illumination on the watercress line we booked in advance as it is very popular absolutely loved it it's a ten from me staff were lovely couldn't do enough for my partner who is disabled getting her on and off the train parking 🅿️ at alresford station 🚉 absolutely recommend it quality time together happy new year 🎊🕛 to you all.

Amazing heritage railway, very grateful to have this on pur doorstep. The volunteers that run it as always very helpful, great to talk to. We were very lucky yesterday to be invited to the drivers cab of class 20 diesel train. It made my 5 year old sons day! Thank you

The highest station in Hampshire I was reliably informed by the trains guard. The smell of the coal and the train being filled with water was a nice bit of atmosphere. The steam engine chuffing into the station was great to see too. A brilliant day out and a very happy grandson.
