You know when the food is so good you're still thinking about it later? This was one of those places for us. We checked this place out for lunch since it mentioned it was authentic Japanese. As we went during COVID, they closed the upstairs for now but the lady owner was so friendly to greet us downstairs where there was a table. Right from the start, the Japanese lady was so inviting and made us feel welcome. The location is a bit unexpected as it's located in the Bay Studios behind the car dealership. Fortunately you can park around there for free. We asked her for recommendations and she mentioned the katsu chicken as well as the vegan don. At the end we had three dishes; the katsu chicken with tuna rice balls, katsu baguette and vegan don. It was all so scrumptious and fresh, we devoured it all. The katsu chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside as it should be. The vegan don is still on my mind. I'm not a vegan but the way she cooked the cauliflower, mushrooms, homemade pickles and sauce with rice was so refreshingly different. I would pick that again! Even though her menu was small, you can taste the quality and care that she puts in making the food. This is a hidden gem. Domo arigato!

Can't wait to come back here again. The place is really lovely the way it's decorated. Such a vibe! Plus the music is relaxing especially after coming from a long lecture. The owner makes you feel so welcome, she's a star. I had the katsu curry which I loved. Portion size was perfect, filling and nutritious . I felt energised, fueled up and ready for all my next lectures✨️✨️✨️ I also got a slice of the apple pie to take away with me. Delicious dessert 🌷

This cafe is such a calming and relaxing atmosphere. Izumi the lady who runs the cafe is such a joy and so lovely and kind and welcoming ! The food is beautiful and so is the service. I highly recommend visiting, you will have an amazing time and will want to come back again and again ☺️

My friend showed me this place and I’m so glad she did! The food was really delicious! I had the Kastu Curry (£6.50), a slice of strawberry cream cake (£3) and a latte (£2.50). The food was so satisfying, freshly made to order. The owner bakes the cakes herself too and the cake I had was so delicious and so was the coffee 💜 Very affordable prices and it was a little quiet when I ate here but the customers that were there and the owner were lively and very friendly! I highly recommend this place for breakfast/brunch/lunch especially if it’s on your way :) Can’t wait to eat here again! 💜

Honestly, it was an absolute joy eating here. Izumi is so friendly and helpful and was amazing to chat to. She helped us find the place, even came out to locate us. The food was phenomenal and great value and the service was second to none. This little place, the food and Izumi are a real credit to home cooked Japanese food and I cannot reccomend it enough. The cake was incredible as well but unfortunately that was eaten before I could take a picture

The lady that runs it, Itsumi is a really wonderful woman and let me stay for a slice of cake which was delicious, even though she was closing. I'm definitely going to come back to try more food. It was hard to find but I rang her and she came out to meet me which was so sweet. I'll add pictures to make it easer to find. It's the side on the studio facing the road but was surprisingly quiet and very peaceful inside.

If you work at or around the Bay Campus on Fabian Way, this is THE best place to go for lunch. The food is fantastic and I really don’t know how the lady who runs this place single-handedly manages to produce such delicious Japanese food with very little waiting time, even when busy.

We were staying at the Bay Campus and stumbled upon this cafe. It was such a delicious find! The owner/chef/server is so welcoming and sweet. The food is amazing! We got the breakfast baguette and teritama don and were blown away by how delicious everything was. We're only here for a couple days, but already looking forward to breakfast again here tomorrow.

Itsumi is such a boss, we have nothing but respect for this operation. The food is excellent, ambiance is chill, and the owner is so sweet and hospitable. A true gem of a cafe!

Really great place with extremely nice owner. She is such a pleasant person, makes great coffee and not to mention the food. I highly recommend you to go there, even though the place is situated a bit off (from Swansea University Bay Campus) and difficult to find. It's worth the work!

Went with my gf amazing atmosphere, incredible food and an incredibly friendly lady who runs the place 10/10 will definately be coming back.

Lovely little place ran by a really nice person, recommend this place l, food ks nice with a nice price tag. But their dessert are to die for!!!
