I absolutely adore Shume, such a lovely place to stop for a drink and a chat. It's full to the brim with unusual beers, ciders, gins and wines that you can drink in house or take out - and it's got a lovely sense of community about it. Great set up, great team, great fun. Highly recommended!

What a lovely find, hidden down church walk between the church and high street. Great friendly and knowledgeable service and staff with a fantastic choice of craft beers and ales available bottled or as guest and seasonal draft. We could stay there happily in the relaxed atmosphere for hours on end and this week also enjoyed a cheese board selection that ticked all the boxes. Well done, will be back!

We had our second visit here yesterday afternoon and it was fabulous. There are some great craft beers on tap, a huge range of beer to drink in or take away. They also sell artisan cheese, coffee, an amazing range of wine and spirits. There were a lot of ideas for gifts here too. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. We got chatting to the staff and regular customers and were made to feel very welcome.

Delightful café style bar and bottle shop selling a very good range of craft beer including a good selection of Belgian beer, speciality coffee, cheese and liquors. Very friendly staff, a cozy little hideaway to enjoy a bit of time to yourself or enjoy with friends.

Small premises with walls lined with inticing array of wines and spirits ,selection of cheeses and some quality coffee.Little gem.Owner really knows his stuff .Worth visiting as a short stopover even if you are just driving on a journey north or south on the A1(M).(Then take a walk by the river before the next leg of the journey)

Luan is a master of curating the most beautiful products. It’s wall to wall deliciousness. Get in there, get tasting, ask about the products. If Richard is around too, you’ll get twice the education. Amazing.
