Lovely site with great views and fantastic walks.. Local village is a ten minute walk from site. Village has few pubs one I know serving food. Amenities are clean and modern. Pitches are mostly level with plenty of room between each. Would definitely recommend moorlands. If going between November and March take extra warm clothes as its a bit chilly some days. πŸ‘

It is hard to find a fault with this campsite. Beautiful, peaceful site. I came here after a grim three days in another site. It was a blessed relief! Nice, welcoming folk. I shall definitely use it again. And have already recommended it to friends. Amazing to think it's so close to Manchester.

Amazing site, stunning views and very welcoming staff!! The lady who welcomed us was lovely, made sure we knew everything we needed, purchased a fire bundle for the night for just Β£6 which included everything you need (starter cubes and matches included!) We only stayed for one night but will definitely be coming back again. Our little girl had an amazing time playing in the fields on her bike, searching for rabbit holes and spotting sheep. The facilities are nice and clean too - Really nice place to stay, thankyou!!

Stayed in a pod. Veiws are fantastic. Price per pod for a couple was Β£28 or Β£29 for one night. (Forget) There is a heater and lamp In the pods. Toilets clean and tidy, showers too. Every pod has a fire pit. Kindle, logs and firelighters can be purchased from the small shop on site for only Β£6. I will be coming back again. Warning - Take a blow up bed for the pods. There are camp beds availbe on-site, free of charge but them camp beds will pull your spine out of your hips. Terribly uncomfortable.

We arrived at this friendly and peaceful campsite in the middle of a snowstorm and immediately damaged the adaptive seat on our camper van which meant we couldn't close the front passenger door. Pete from the office came to our rescue and spent ages outside in freezing conditions helping us to sort the problem so that we could close the door. I highly recommend this site in stunning location, clean and welcoming. BIG BIG thank you to Pete for helping us out.

Excellent site, clean with magnificent views. New shower/toilet block, washing machine and dryer etc. Can be windy. Wonderful gastropubs within walking distance (max 10 mins) good ale too!

Lovely site and great views when it's clear they have pods looking over the valley and reservoirs which when the wind drops will be great to sit on the porch and drink in the view and atmosphere. Some may feel the toilets are a little small for the size of the park.

Great stay! Reasonably priced, clean facilities. Short drive away from the town with shops and restaurants. Fantastic location with the best views of the moorlands.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Nice place for a camp and child friendly. There is a no noise policy after 10pm which I thought was a bit strict. But on reflection, it wasn't actually an issue. If anything, it helped to keep our kids quiet. The grounds are well maintained. There is electricity hook up and spaces for caravans, tent...

😠 I would have left a zero star if it would have let me. This is THEE worst place Ive ever booked. It was that bad I didn’t actually stay there once I drove in because it was like Steptoe and son’s yard. Seriously this was horrific and I wouldn’t recognise place if I was homeless and destitute. Avoid...
