Had a lovely nights stay. Rooms basic. But done the job. Slept well. Had dinner there, it was OK. Lovely staff. But you could see they were under pressure due to a wedding that was on. And lack of staff. The lady on the reception was lovely. Clean and tidy. Will use again.

The most friendly, polite staff I've ever encountered! Absolutely every member of staff was so lovely and chatty. Stayed for 2 nights for a friend's wedding and can't fault a thing. Service top class, food excellent at night and breakfast. Rooms were fine for 2 night stay, nice view, clean, everything you need. Location easy to find. Thanks to the team for making the weekend perfect

I visited Oscars restaurant back in December 2022 for an afternoon tea and the front of House provided a lovely service. They were very kind and helpful and on hand to help out and provide other additional services. The tea was very enjoyable and I look forward to visiting again. Highly recommend.

The staff are excellent. The premises are clean and warm. The meeting rooms are well presented. There is a large car park. They are very disabled friendly and have a dedicated wheelchair accessible elevator. It is quite a joy coming here. Easy to get to if driving on local roads or motorway.

Was lovely and clean and a very comfy bed. The staff were so helpful and accommodating. Our breakfast was of a good standard with plenty to drink and as much toast, cereal etc as you like. Will definitely return! Only gripe - my sister had tissues but we didn't!!!

I will be definitely coming back for more. Reasonably priced and with late check-in and only minutes drive from the city. Was exactly what I needed for the night after work, although it felt a bit like the room I've been assigned wasn't the premium one I've chosen from the web/app. (Maybe pictures need updating to the description??) Stunning view from the NE windows of my room, even on a rainy morning, surrounding pastures, looked calm and relaxing. Very accomodating staff but a bit short breakfast hours, though you can request/buy "takeaway" brunch until 11:00, if I remember correctly. I am looking forward to my next and hopefully more relaxed visit. Thank you

We enjoyed our wedding at the Red Hall and overall had a fantastic day! There were a few hiccups at the start, I (the bride) was greater by the receptionist by being told she "knew nothing about it"...it being my wedding day and myself and bridesmaids arriving to get ready. There was also an issue with the groom then not having a room to get ready in when this was agreed weeks prior. We did request that some wedding cake was put aside for us which didn't happen. There was issues collecting items after the wedding also, most of the items were found however a couple weren't, I received an email asking if one of my guests may have taken them, one of my guests walking out with a huge basket of left over flip flops? I was then advised it is my responsibility to take items at the end of the night so I would definitely note this if you're considering having your wedding there. This was all however shadowed by a fantastic day lead by Damen who ensure it was all a smooth running process. The food was amazing and served by great waitors and waitresses. Gingerbread dressed the venue who were outstanding. Overall a great day, thanks for having us Red Hall and a big thanks again to the fantastic Damen, it seemed everything he touched turned to gold!

Stopped overnight on the way back from Shrewsbury. From the minute we arrived the staff were so friendly. Room was adequate for our stay as we had our small dog with us but the main praise is saved for the food and staff, couldn't fault either.

Went for afternoon tea and wasn't very good at all. No one checked if we had any food allergies (which we did) and when we asked the waitress she simple said 'I don't know'. Terrible service and the sandwiches were awful and they didn't give you a choice. Wouldn't recommend.

Lovely hotel with exceptional customer service from all staff, absolute top marks to the super efficient, extremely friendly and always ready to go the extra mile staff. Only let down slightly by the clean, well decorated but noisy rooms.

Can’t comment on the room and location to be honest as not as fair with this area. However, service was very good - staff were super polite and attentive! More like a 5-star establishment but with genuine warmth. Place is clean and have a good vibe about it. If I were to come to this area and needing a stay - I would definitely consider this. Thank you for your hospitable staff.

A fantastic venue for our wedding, we can’t thank red hall enough for their amazing service throughout from start to finish. Becca was amazing organising and the team on the seat were spectacular, if there was an extra few stars we could add to this we would. A massive thank you!

Really comfortable rooms with everything we needed. Extensive selection of food for breakfast including both vegan and veggie options as required by our family group. Friendly, welcoming and professional service from start to finish including sorting taxis out for us. Thanks.

Great hotel; rooms could do with some modernisation but the bed was super comfortable and the food at breakfast and dinner was delicious

Dated hotel with paper thin walls. Bar and TV area require investment. A nice sitting area with comfy sofas would be a good upgrade but staff were attentive and very friendly.👍

Lovely venue, we were at a wedding. Staff friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Food let it down. Gingerbread did an incredible job with the decorations. Do was great. Just a shame about the food. Room was lovely.

Personnel were very helpful and nice. Public areas are very well presented. Bedrooms could use a freshen up but were well equipped.

The Red Hall hosted my Mum’s wake recently on a cold, late January afternoon. The food was excellent quality and was thoroughly enjoyed by all family and friends during a wake that saw many laughs of joy alongside sadness. The staff were responsive before and during the wake to make sure we were happy with the event, understanding how important this was for the family at such a difficult time. We were able to stay in the room well beyond the 2 hours we’d booked for which was so kind and much appreciated. A particular shout out to Damon, Carla, Naz, Sharon and Stacy who were so helpful. Thank you SO much!

Great, friendly staff. This was an alternative as the hotel I had booked had no rooms! Happy with the swap, plenty of parking, comfy room. Good restaurant.

Disabled room 18, lovely bathroom equipped for disabled except the toilet is too low, disabled loos should have a higher toilet bowl. We were woken up at 6am first morning by a delivery, and the second morning at 6.30 by people talking loud enough to wake us.

The most uncomfortable, unsupported sleep I have ever had in a hotel. The mattress is awful. I can’t even stress how bad. In fact it’s currently 4am and I’m writing this and considering moving to another hotel tonight who I know have amazing beds. The dining room last night pumped out so much heat from the air con system I thought I was going to be sick and the food was mediocre but at least it was hot. We then had a staff member pacing our corridor, speaking so loudly on her phone and she paused several times outside our door to carry on her call, as we are near the fire exit door at the end of a corridor she seemed to assume this behaviour was okay. if you value sleep, don’t stay here.

Great event space, I was there for a Personal Development Seminar with Mind Influence. All the staff were very helpful on the way in and there are a number of rooms that can be booked for events. Good selection of teas and coffee on arrival.

I had my 62nd birthday party there on 23/09/2022. Right from arranging it to the day of the party, nothing was too much to ask the events team. They found us an amazing DJ called Justin, he could find any song taking that he is English and this was a birthday party for an African lady - so some of the music choices were songs he was not used to but he managed to find them all. The 3 course cuisine we had that night (3 different choices), was very tasty. Every one of my guests talked about the tasty food and the service which was well delivered with love and smiles on their faces and nothing was too much to ask. Their chef Tinei did not disappoint. We will be going back there for our evening meal soon. Well done Red Hall Hotel Team👏🏾

Lovely friendly staff, great breakfast and spotless rooms. Evening meals also excellent. Only issue, many of the rooms are in need of refurbishment and this is being addressed. Great location too.

Attended a large sit down meal on Saturday (Oct 2022) but we did not stay overnight as we are local. The food was excellent and I cannot praise the staff highly enough for their professionalism, all in all a wonderful night, highly recommended. I’ve not been for a few years but every time we do it is fantastic, some friends were staying overnight and said their room was lovely.

The staff were very friendly and polite but the food was less than satisfactory, the salad on the starter had slimy and brown bits on it, for the main meal the batter on the fish was soft and the fish slightly undercooked for me. This was a birthday meal for a friend but really do wish we had chosen somewhere else. We won`t be going back.

My husband and I attended our friend's wedding recently, we had the best time! The food was first class, as was the service and entertainment in the evening. We will definitely visit the Red Hall again...

Absolutely wonderful place. All the staff worked hard to make both me and partner very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and tidy. The room was lovely, tidy and very cosy. Excellent shower and a bath. The breakfast was delicious and again the staff were so welcoming. We will definitely be back to stay.

Nice hotel. Went for networking. Breakfast was lovely. I chose fruit as the bacon is always a bit fatty :( The gentleman serving the room was excellent Lovely and clean Great location off the motorway Great parking

Staff go out of their way to be chatty and engage in a conversation with you. Rooms where nice and the food is amazing. Only downside(s) is the road noise and wedding receptions/parties, there is no regard for other guests who are staying in the hotel, rules should be put in place.

Just got married there last week. It was a perfect day helped in a large part by the quality of the staff. They are so helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Great hotel with a superb restaurant (Oscar's). Highly recommend a visit and staying there.

Booked for Christmas meal, took ages for anyone to take our order or even ask if we would like a drink. The food looked like it had been kept warm for a while as the veg was shrivelled. Certainly not worth the money. Had to ask for a cup for my tea. The service was extremely slow from start to finish even though the room was half empty and there was adequate numbers of staff. When the bill came we had to return it as they hadn't deducted our deposit off. Such a shame as lovely place and surroundings.
