    Being an Apple fan for almost a decade now and as a loyal customer, I have all my electronic devices with Apple. But today I had my most disappointing experience with their genius bar here and it started to shake my faith with Apple customer service and left a very bitter taste in my mouth. There has been issues with charging and noise cancelling with one of my airpods and while I was in London, the genius bar staff there told me they will be happy to replace it for me without charge due to their quality program and the consumer law. But at the time they were out of stock so I waited till I came back to Manchester and tried again. The staff said my airpod was damaged so they can’t replace for free. He meant was that less than .3mm crack in the photo. So you have this program for people to preserve their airpod for two years as if it should always stay brand new and only when it has audio issue would you replace it for free. I purchased the airpods less than two years ago and really wasn’t expecting such quality problems. And he treated me as if I was the problem. The attitude is absolutely unacceptable and outrageous. Great customer service Apple, good job disgusting one of your most loyal customers.

    This store has the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my twenty years of using Apple products. In order to cover (ANY) potential product damage, I purchased my watch with apple care+. Damage was found on the leather band of my watch. I requested a replacement, and much to my surprise, the Genius bar employee informed me that the band is not covered. He said, "Apple says that," when I questioned who was saying it. Can you please point out where Apple indicated this, I enquired? Because nothing like "band is not included" was mentioned in the Apple Care + policy, I read it. After a little pause, he declared that he would search for it. He returned with the manager after a 20-minute wait, hardly admitting that the employee had erred and that the management had decided to support her by refusing to change the band. In this store, something is not right. Starting at the front desk (not even cracking a smile), moving on to the Genius bar staff, and finishing with the manager It took them five minutes to give me a new band when I tried it in Boston. Full stop! I wish there is less than a star review for Manchester store.

    I feel utterly disgusted with employee behavior and discriminatory policies. Due to medical problems I could not wear a face mask, I showed the staff the exemption card and I been told I am not allowed in the shop and I have to do the shopping online . I explain very clear I actually want to see the devices I want to spend money before I buy them but the answer was a negative one …. Nobody is above the law and this problems will be sorted in the court under equality act 2010 so apple will learn to respect protected characteristics . AVOID !!!

    Had a very pleasant experience every time I’ve gone in, either to buy or speak to the Apple team regarding my devices. They are very help and nice to talk to. When needing help due to a battery issue with my MacBook the assistant explained the issue and located the Apple Store which had the part I needed and ordered it for me

    Utterly tedious experience in what could easily be mistaken for a parody store. Knew exactly what I wanted to buy. Walked up to one of the many people in poorly fitting chinos doing nothing and asked to buy it. This is how shops typically work. I bought some apples immediately before this from M&S using the exact same technique. Not here. You need an appointment. Team Chino can’t grab a phone off the shelf but they can make you an appointment. Upon returning at my dedicated time slot I was placed in the corner and forgotten about. Eventually I made eye contact with someone who took me to a table and made me wait some more. Eventually someone came over, clicked a button and my phone arrived in less time than it took the very first guy I saw to book me an appointment. Buying a phone should not be this painful.

    Great shop, nice staff, but when there are a lot of people you have to wait. I bought AirPods Pro - great, everything works. Otherwise, just a typical Apple shop.

    ''​SOME'' of your staffs need to be trained how to respect people, not even making eye contact when answered questions . If you contact me back, I can point out which one of your team as I could not see their nametags. I didn't go to the apple store to beg for the products for free.That ruined the apple's reputation, really feel sorry for this. They have attitude, unwilling to help,racist that was what they made me feel. After reading other comments below, I'm not the only one who faced this kind of situation.

    After reading all the negative reviews on this website I totally agree with all of them and want to start by going over the lack of care this store has for its customers. I walked in a few hours early since it takes me over an hour to travel to the Manchester store. The counter staff told me that I needed to come back 5mins before my appointment time. So I returned and booked in at the front and asked a simple question as to the wait time and was told “I don’t know repeatedly, I don’t work there”. Any how’s I moved forward and sat on the most uncomfortable wooden boxes they call chairs. Waiting to see someone about the performance of my iPhone 12 max pro. After a 30 min wait I was told that my phones health was fine and they couldn’t do anything. I repeatedly informed the chap that I barley get 6 hours of battery life from a full charge and that is not healthy having to hunt down a charger a few times a day. He then gave me the option of replacing the battery which was going to cost £69, but they couldn’t do this today as they will be closing the store and there isn’t enough time. I now have to waste a full day again to try and arrange a new appointment from my busy schedule to try and get this fixed. On numerous occasions I have seen staff just standing around chatting away whilst customers are sat around waiting to be seen. It’s not the first time I have experienced the Apple Store in Manchester and the lack of empathy the Staff and store present. In the future I will definitely not be looking to invest in the apple echo system any longer. At least you know what you get with the other brands and the price reflects this. With apple you pay a premium to be messed about.

    Took my iPhone to the shop to repair. Pablo was professional and very nice. Had a Mac problem too and the other technician was also very professional and helpful too. He checked the battery health of my Mac as well, which helped me make my decision whether to save the machine or not. Different experience from another Apple shop where I was asked the same question 3 times when i took my Mac for repair. Apple Manchester Arndale professional, helpful, friendly.

    Louise spent a lot of time going through a variety of questions I had- tutorials, hardware, apps and more. I can understand why she has worked in the industry so long! She has even signed me up for the business account and I’m already being linked to get more specialist advice. Look forward to seeing Louise again in the store when I attend a tutorial session.

    Writing this on 19/10/22, been left by staff for the past 20 minutes, found the item I’ve wanted and all I have left to do is pay. No apology for the delay, nothing. It’s surprising since I’ve always seen the apple store as the holy grail of efficiency and customer service as per Apples image. Yet, here I am. I wouldn’t bother visiting this store in person, other than to just look at a product and waste their staffs time. Apple please have a look at your arndale store. Sincerely, An upset customer Update: After all they also had no apple pens in store once I was able to be served, what a complete waste of space.

    Had one of the worst retail experiences of my life after trying to resolve issue with my phone, phone kept duplicating my internal memory until it was full and locked everything out, the apple great staff was friendly enough but his solution was for me to buy more iCloud of which I was using none . after many attempts including removing all apps and photos another female staff member told him to stop helping me and help someone else then refused to talk to me but wanted to put me on a call to iCloud support I left absolutely frustrated with her disgusting way of speaking to me in a completely dismissive way, attitude problem like I had done something wrong and lack of empathy that I had work to complete using my phone. In the end I had to rest my whole phone and start again. Absolutely unbelievably bad service, nice one Apple u need to retrain your managers , I’m absolutely disgusted

    Bought new 15promax with trade in. Although booked a slot they were too busy serving walk ins to help transfer data. Staff assured me taking phone one and doing it by apple backup would be trouble free. Don’t do it I have never had so many issues with data not being transferred missing, passwords locked apps, lost Apple Pay data etc. etc. do not recommend this store or staff. So disappointed after being apple customer since iPhone 3.

    The staff here are second to none. So knowledgeable and helpful. Only problem is had trouble getting an invoice for my new iPad. Should really be issued when you collect it in store. Eventually managed to print one off in line

    Small Apple store seems lack of managements on personnel/ Appointments because of the customers volume I suppose. (But only during busy hours.) However, staffs are helpful and friendly. Suggestion: be very clear about what you wanna get and see it online and make decision earlier. So you don't waste time here making appointments or waiting for too long during busy hours.

    In the past, Apple Stores were friendly and insightful. This store (in the Arndale Centre) is the worst experience ever. Nobody had a clue about any product info I needed and all they could repeat was "I'm sorry I can't help you. Is there anything else I can do for you today." like a broken robot. One guy with tattoos all down his neck knew absolutely nothing about anything he sold. Atrocious, when you think I was going to spend almost 2000 in the store. I went to Trafford Centre and had a polar opposite service.

    I came into the shop today to buy myself a new phone. While standing by the phone section Amy came up to me and offered to help me and made the whole experience so straightforward and enjoyable, she was really outgoing and attentive and she is what i believe everyone should be greeted with while entering the store. Overall amazing experience and customer service!!

    Typischer Apple Store mit dem kompletten Sortiment. Alle Geräten sind ausgestellt und können ausprobiert werden. Die Mitarbeiter können einem bei jedem Gerät helfen. Es gibt auch eine Auswahl an Zubehör und Accessoires. Preise sind wie immer bei Apple hoch.

    As a future university student, my partner and I went in to see the options she has to do her uni work. Maxwell was amazing, he explained and compared so many Macbook, iPad, and accessories so she could make an informed decision on the products that best fit her needs. He also sent her directly an itemzed and personalised summary of the products she preferred and liked the best in case she later decided to purchase. In a world in which companies always want to sell you the latest/ most expensive model, Maxwell actually took his time to created a tailored assortment of products, and also had the best conversations! 20 minutes that seemed like 5.

    Had an issue with my iPhone charging dock. Brendan from the service team was extremely welcoming, helpful and even helped me sort the dock cleaning that resulted in resolving the issue. Brendan went one step further and explained all the services offered at Arndale store. Great experience :)

    I bought a new phone 13/11/23 and the customer service was incredible. I didn’t get the sales person’s name but he said he was a wedding photographer in his spare time. He was so helpful and knowledgeable!

    I went to the apple store today, and all I can say is, it has the worst customer service and system set up ever. They booked me into an appointment to come back within an hour and then they still made me wait longer with no confirmed eta when I might get served and expected me to wait another 40 mins! I appreciate they are very busy, but there’s better use of people’s time. More annoyingly was when I spoke to one their female staff and she just smiled to my face saying sorry there’s nothing else they can do as other appointments infront of me was running behind. All they had to do was get a phone out from the back and at most transfer some data for me, it’s not like I’m asking them to set it up on a new network! The place is a joke run by a bunch of idiots. They need to train their staff to speak to customers properly, considering how much we spend on apple products and have a better queueing or waiting system in place. There is no service! If they that busy then hire more staff! All I wanted was to purchase a handset! It happened several years ago, same experience with getting a battery changed. Asked me to go back in 2 hrs time and to leave my handset behind. Only to be told when I came back that they didn’t change the battery cos they were too busy. In the end I just took my phone elsewhere. People stand by talking and clearly not seeing customers. If apple handsets weren’t such a well known product already. They don’t stand a chance of getting repeat business! Absolutely shocking service and they don’t care. It’s left a bitter taste and I shall never return! Giving them a one star is being generous!

    Worst Apple Store I've ever dealt with. Knew exactly what I wanted then placed on a table for 35 mins then when I complained the manager told me we have no staff? A busy Apple Store and no staff? After my wait I was then placed with someone who looked exhausted and fed up. No wonder you have no staff if this is how you operate. I remember when purchasing direct from Apple was a fun exciting occasion it's seriously lost its way.

    Never had anything by Apple before and I treated myself to iPad Air. Staff were friendly enough and answered my questions but hand over was poor as I was left to my own devices and wasn't sure who was taking over. At no point did they offer to show me how to work it or even log in with my details. They presumed I knew. Even though they had optional help at a later date. Would appreciate if they made more effort in customer service and giving more details of what the product is capable of.

    We booked an appointment online to speak to someone about buying a watch in store, but when we arrived there were plenty of staff available to sell, but wise to make an appointment for repairs/problems with your item. Didn't find the staff member (Maxwell) pushy, he made sure we tried on the strap to get the right size. Didn't go heavy with added extras, and price matched Currys PC World so saved over £50.

    Attended the Apple Store yesterday due to having problems with my iPhone. I didn't have an appointment however they managed to book me in even though they were very busy. Everyone was kind, professional and helpful and honestly could not have done any more for me, especially Nick who really went above and beyond. Very grateful for everyones help because I know my issue wasn't easy to solve. Thanks again guys!

    Apple is always willing to resolve phone problems. I have found them very patient and understanding. When something is difficult to follow they ask for permission to remotely enter the phone and are able to point to the settings that need changing. I have found them very helpful

    I was seeking for help about my new device; an employee sat on the table being sarcastic about me talking to security person seeking for help, while sitting on the table, chewing a gum. I did not get an specific answer for my simple question. The answer was an vague corporate abbreviated slang. I was informed that my device should be sent for check for 1 month, yet we did not even had a look at my new device. Try to avoid this specific Apple Store, or specific staff, according to the other reviews I think.

    Grand, impressive store with beautiful facade - all the finishes and flair of a typical Apple store with a wide selection of product tables to experience the latest Apple products and a magsafe case wall. At peak times however employees often miss the opportunity to greet you upon entry which made it confusing trying to purchase a product - we had to wander aimlessly for 10 minutes while all staff were occupied until we caught one free who told us to enquire and book a "appointment" by the staff at the front. Was served swiftly after doing so around 15 minutes later but definitely a confusing experience for an otherwise efficient and sleek brand.

    the person with the ipad who was in charge of making appointments had a vibe that every person there was bothering him, didn’t even smile or use manners when asking you to fill out your name and details etc. on the other hand, MARK was lovely; had personality, good chat and an even better outfit. he was friendly, talkative and all-round wonderful. my airpods issue was solved quickly, in and out within 15 minutes.

    They didn't have a genius bar but as apple did replace the camera part and all ready in an hour which was good as kind service and sorted promptly as was only in Manchester for 2 nights. It's all good now hopefully and fingers crossed that ios16 will improve the upcoming updates!

    Really solid experience at Apple, the gentleman (Pedro) who helped me and my partner was friendly, funny and knowledgeable. Helped get everything sorted and even tried to save us money with our purchase. He really was the best part of our experience. Only downside was having to wait 15ish mins to get seen to collect our items.

    Me and a mate went here as he needed gadgets for his phone. He got a wallet for his cards - credit, ID, bus pass, etc... This 'wallet' has a magnet that sticks to the back of his phone and if he puts it down somewhere it has a chip inside that is connected to his phone and it tells him where this wallet is. Amazing the technology this generation has these days. I told him that I usually put my wallet in my pocket with a zip so I don't lose he. He looked at me like I had just fell off the moon and said "Well that's what all you old people do isn't it"?! 🤣 Honestly the youth of today!!

    Worst Apple Store over ever visited. At 650 I was told the store is closed even though it was visibly open. I had to pick up IPads that I had already paid for and yet I was told rudely to leave. Very unprofessional manager. The one star is just because I love the Apple brand, however the people that work at this store (and I’ve visited multiple times) seem disinterested.

    Took some AirPods Pro in which I’d been having problems with. I bought them in November 2019, and as that was so long ago I thought I’d be turned away as they were out of warranty. However, after a few minutes wait while they tested my AirPods they decided they were faulty and replaced them for me for free. I was helped by the lady in the grey headscarf, she was very patient and friendly! Very pleased to get the replacement, I was certain I wouldn’t get anything!

    On two consecutive occasions my macbook has ended up worse for wear after leaving it with Apple Manchester Arndale. I picked my macbook up from a repair which was a Monty Pythonesque merry-go-round where every person I spoke to in the store contradicted the person before them and all I ended up with was no repair and a dent to my screen courtesy of the repair centre. To top it off, they said that they just needed to carry out a hardware test before returning it to me while I waited at the store. When I returned home 2 hours later and took the laptop out of my bag, I found that they had wrapped the it in a non breathable plastic sleeve and left it on! It was red hot to the touch and the fans were going haywire. I don't know what kind of long term damage that has done, but thanks so much for that. Really. Genius. Oh also I don't think they put the bottom cover plate back properly as every time I pick up the laptop it clicks. That's three things. A hat trick of ineptitude. I still haven't heard back regarding my screen.

    My boyfriend and I were served by Harley (Pretty sure that's his name! Tall with transparent glasses :)) today and we were blown away with how friendly he was!! We came in looking for an apple watch and the customer service provided was just amazing! It was clear he knew a lot about the products and was just overall a lovely guy to chat to :) we never felt pressured to rush either, so this was really nice.
