During a walk through Christchurch, we naturally also took a look at the church. Of course, it is not quite as spectacular as the famous cathedrals in the surrounding area. But it has a special flair. As soon as we entered, we heard the sound of a piano. Someone was playing so beautifully that we sat down for a few minutes to listen to the "private concert". It made the visit special. Thanks to the unknown pianist.

Been holidaying in Christchurch for years and finally decided to pop into the Church… wow it really is wonderful inside including the beautiful stained glass windows. Outside the priory is just a beautiful walk, so much character. There’s the Mausoleum, a walk along Covent Walk along the river with few ducks and swans and the priory gardens with historical sculpture.

Definitely worth the visit I felt a spiritual awakening here in the times of old dating back around 400 years old stone brickwork and the wooden doors has a sense of nostalgia to it grand old stained-glass windows add to it and the staff on duty here are happy to answer all your questions too Spent a good hour here and Christchurch Definitely has its place in time

Interesting about the miraculous beam and the new NHS grotesque. It’s nice it has a cafe and gift shop too. However, the man inside that was working there knew absolutely nothing. Many thanks for the support with Ukraine.

I absolutely enjoyed this profound historical site. So much to explore and so much history to absorb. I wanted to take photo after photo. Felt the spirits of the honoured dead all throughout the sacred church. God rest and bless them. And absolutely enjoyed the walk and seeing the swans and ducks at the Town Quay afterwards!

Wonderful historical place to indulge yourself in with its mesmerising internal and external features which is an engineering marvel. A great place to learn about the past and go back into history. The garden adjacent and leading back of the church is also a hidden gem on a beautiful summer day.

Priory is fascinating with a rich history. We were so lucky on the day of our visit as the Organist was practicing for a concert and the sound from the organ is simply spectacular. There is a museum, gift shop and cafe plus plenty of grounds to wander. A must see if you are in Christchurch.

Absolutely outstanding place rich in history and lessons that everyone should learn and know. Here is the place where you will find the roots of this town and the legend that gave the town its name: Christchurch. The building itself is magnificent. We were fortunate to visit the upstairs museum for only 50p each. The man gave us an insight into the place and even showed us a secret door into the floor and how the chandelier was anchored into the ceiling. Impressive are also the hundred years old flags and their original colours. The stained glass is also pretty impressive and mesmerising. Definitely, a place to visit.

This must be in the top ten of places to visit. Free entry, donations if you can. Friendly welcoming staff. Many different stages of architecture that spans hundreds of years. Don’t forget to look at the ceilings you can see the different ages there. Small cafe but wonderful outside space when the weather is fine. Equally good shop.

Beautiful, ancient church with notable features, which can be pointed out by volunteer guides. Donations to church maintenance are welcome. There's also a small café and a gift shop. Nearby are the Norman House and Tower.

A day trip for my friends elderley parent (92). It brought back happy memories. Our new puppy and westie also visited. we sat in the garden out back. Great cup of tea and choice of homemade cakes. We had our photo taken for their new website. I've not seen it yet. But I will be returning as a yacht club also within walking distance. Highly recommended.

This is a hidden gem of Christchurch. An oasis of calm. Friendly, and the buildings and grounds lovely. Good cup of coffee and very reasonably priced snacks. A not to be missed visit.

An awesome historic building, with a great coffee shop and shop. Lovely welcoming people. If you're into choirs, organ and classical concerts it often has a great program running. Worth a visit if you're in Christchurch.

Christchurch priory is a beautiful place to visit, the building itself is so magnificent but is surrounded by lots of wonderful places to walk to. It's also sitting at the mouth of the rivers Avon and Stour. Inside the priory the ancient building really is beautiful, high vaulted ceilings and magnificent stained glass. There is a coffee shop come restaurant inside as well . Well worth a visit.

It is really a nice and cosy place to visit with the family. It is close to the high street and lots of restaurants and cafes. It has many historical parts to see.

A historic church dating back to the 11th century. I enjoyed my visit very much. The building, particularly the stained glass and architecture is interesting and beautiful. It is the longest parish church in England. There is a small gift shop with friendly staff. I only wish they stocked decent postcards. The churchyard and gardens are extensive with seats to rest and contemplate.

Fantastic piece of history and architecture. It's such a beautiful place and so very peaceful. There are so many scenic things also to photograph near the priory you really are spolit for choice. Parking is very reasonable, I paid £3.20 for 4 hours of parking. The Cark park isn't massive so on seasonal days, get there early if you have mobility problems and want to be parked close by. There is a small cafe and plenty of places to sit outside on sunny days. Michael.

Stunning Church from the outside and on the inside. In truth it should be classed as a small cathedral. I was delighted to find the Percy Bysshe Shelley memorial sculpture, some stunning stained glass from a variety of periods, the intriguing story of it's early construction and miraculous beam, the beautiful quire with 14th cent. reredos and amazing misericords. I was fortunate to visit whilst someone was playing the magnificent organ and the sound was incredible, I had goosebumps! I fell in love with the atmosphere of the place. Also, it has an excellent new cafe and shop with great outdoor seating.
