I had intended to visit here for years as I’d heard that it sold authentic Italian produce, but finally dropped by to buy frozen pizza dough-balls. At 1pm on a Friday afternoon this little shop was incredibly busy, with customers queuing for sandwiches to be made-up from the deli counter, and others eating outside. I was very happy to wait, giving me time to take in the huge array of goods they have. My dough-balls were only £3.95 for a bag of four, each enough for a 10 inch pizza base, so great value. I also picked up some biscotti and other treats while I was waiting. Despite being so busy, the staff were all really friendly and welcoming. The meats, cheeses, olives, arancini etc all looked amazing, and the range of goods on the shelves is impressive. Definitely the best Italian deli in the area; I could spend a lot of money here! I’ve been back already, within a few days of my first visit, hence the mid-afternoon pictures when it was quieter.

A must-visit Italian deli if you are in St Albans or look for gourmet Italian ingredients to make of a meal an unforgettable experience. You can also buy or enjoy on site delicious sandwiches, desserts or pastries and tasty coffeee. Do not miss it. It's really good value, a quiet location, some tables to eat al fresco and an excellent variety of products to do your groceries on a daily basis. The staff is super friendly and the shop is spotlessly clean.

This deli has been established since 1978 so that speaks for itself; to sustain a business for this long you must be doing something right. The team here will help and guide you through any food questions so that you get the best produce for your needs. I enjoy the great selection of salamis and olives especially. They also do lovely cantuccini and pastries to eat on the go if you fancy a quick treat. I needed some double zero flour on my last trip to make pizza. It’s always buzzing with people but service is quick - they’re not slow, just popular so be prepared to queue for 5-10 mins at busy periods. It’s well worth the wait.

I absolutely adore this place. Blood oranges are wonderful. But the buffalo mozzarella is their golden goose, it's better than any mozzarella I have tried even in Italy.

I discovered this place last week but I wish I did years ago. I've been getting breakfast/ lunch from this place for almost every day over the last week. You can find freshly made sandwiches, cold cuts, baked items, fruits, coffee, cake, cheese, drinks, salads, olives and pickled items, pasta, etc. 10/10 shop. The only downside is the parking, 3 spots are available outside but it can get busy.

Not really a restaurant just a bloody good deli. Lovely, helpful staff and gorgeous food. If you're looking for proper Italian ingredients and food to die for, you're in luck!

Popped in for some breakfast this morning, was warmly welcomed out of the pouring rain by Tony. I was able to sit in, but be aware that there is very limited seating! Excellent food, service, and I took away a delicious veggie sandwich for later. P.S. - Directions to the station worked a treat, Tony, and included a nice view of the nunnery ruins!

Excellent Italian deli. Superb food & huge variety. Shame the lost the “eat-in” bit but still worth every visit! Adding an updated menu as we couldn’t find one online.

Impossible to spend less than £50, even when I just go in for pasta. Kid in a sweet shop! So many gorgeous bits to eat. My weekend treat.

Visited this place after a recommendation to buy ingredients to make homemade pizza in my new pizza oven. The gentleman serving me was extremely helpful and shared loads of useful tips! The ingredients were all delicious but the frozen pizza dough and mozzarella were especially delicious. Highly recommend.
