I went to see Nick Cave & Warren Ellis at the Bridgewater Hall on Sept 17th. The Oxford Road station is nearby, as are a number of hotels, bars, restaurants and clubs, and the St Peter's Square tram stop. The venue itself is easily accessible, staff are very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. For wheelchair users, or anyone else requiring it, there is plenty of accessible seating, and a member of staff will happily show you to your seat. The auditorium is lovely! I'll definitely be returning in future!

A large modern concert hall that is home to the Halle Orchestra. Conveniently located a 5 minute walk from the St. Peter's Square Metrolink station with easy access and roomy seating, we had no trouble finding or entering the building. It's large auditorium is arranged in multiple groups of seats so that the audience surrounds the stage at multiple levels - all with excellent sight and hearing lines. The staff were welcoming and helpful and there was plenty of room to mingle before taking our seats. We enjoyed our first experience of the hall and look forward to visiting again for another concert.

A great venue for all kinds of music, but particularly for classical music. Being able to witness a full orchestra perform here is a real treat. It's a short walk from the St Peters Square tram stop and has excellent food and drink options.

First visit here for Status Quo - what a fabulous venue. I was up in the gallery- great acoustics and lines of sight good too. Being Quo, I'd have preferred to stand but you can't have everything. Plenty of toilet facilities, parking fairly close by (6 minutes walk) cost me Β£8.80. My only criticism would be the cost of drinks at the bar - I thought Β£13 for a pint and two Cokes excessive. I would definitely come back though.

This was the venue for an open university graduation. They dau was extremely well organised, premises were very clean and staff incredibly welcoming. Signs were clear throughout, and the venue was very well adapted for disabilities with several lifts, accessible seating, wide hallways, and toilets. Overall, it was fantastic. Situated next to a restaurant and river which made for lively photos.

What a fantastic location for a show. The building has been done very tastefully and very pleasant to be there. As ever with events these days, beer costs a fortune which is disappointing, which is why so many sneak drinks in our only have one. Acoustics watching Howard Jones was fab.

Had a great evening seeing The Drifters at The Bridgwater Hall. Only my second time at this venue but I have 2 more concerts booked there in the next few months. The whole ambience of the venue is lovely. Nice and clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Downside was the queue for the bar to get a drink and quite pricey i thought. However, the prices at the bar are on par with other concert venues. It's not a cheap night going to see a concert these days but I enjoy going to see live music so I make exceptions as I intend to keep visiting venues all over to see my favourite artists. Go to an event at The Bridgewater Hall and you'll have a fantastic time!

Great place for a concert, sound acoustics are excellent, lovely venue. Plenty of parking ( but not cheap ) opposite. Plenty of places to eat and drink around. Short walk into the heart of Manchester.

Enjoyed a great evening at Pride Classical. Well done to all involved for putting on this magnificent event. Can't wait to go again in 2024. Just one note for the venue, there needs to be more kiosks for soft drinks, etc, as the queue for the bar was ridiculous, and most people just give up.

Superb concert venue. Good layout with access for disabled customer provided. Good sound, not a huge venue which I think adds to its appeal.

John Williams v Hans Zimmer....amazing concert with a very energetic conductor. The venue is excellent and the acoustics superb. There are a few things that could be improved to make a more memorable experience. Queues for drinks can be very long, the "A list" area should be made a little more inviting, more smaller tables, maybe better snacks than a bowl of crisps shared around a table of 12. Otherwise in general a great place to see live music.

Haven't been for years. Great place to see a concert. Even at the back you're not far from the front. The seats are tiered so that unless someone is huge and has a top hat on you get a good view of the stage. Photo is from Row R. Special mention to Lisa in the stalls who was fantastic helping people, as was everyone we came across who worked there.

We went to see the wonderful Christmas Spectacular last night, I literally cried in parts, it was so nostalgic. The 12 days of Christmas was brilliant fun, people had tinsel, bells, Santa hats and most of all, that very needed Christmas spirit. The Bridgewater Hall is a splendid venue, a modern, clean, impressive auditorium. The huge orchestra and choir placed perfectly on the stage and the performers themselves were fantastic, so much energy. Thank you for a super, super evening. Xxx

Lee Memphis King - Elvis Presley. A very enjoyable experience. Lovely staff, well organised and reasonable prices for food and drink. One improvement, please sell real coffee rather than the instant tasting stuff, it's awful. But overall a wonderful night at a wonderful theatre.

I wasn't expecting that much on a cold, wet mid-week visit to classical music at the Bridgewater but was pleasantly surprised. The company made it all the more enjoyable! Lots of flag waving and wonderful performances from magnificent artists. I've seen the amazing Marc Almond here so my expectations were very high and happily they were not disappointed!

Bridgewater Hall is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and professionally managed concert halls I've experienced. Over the past three years in Manchester, I've attended many memorable concerts and performances in this venue. It's worth noting that when you purchase a ticket for the first time, understanding which floor you've selected can be a bit challenging, as tickets are labeled with the names of the floors rather than their numbersβ€”Stall, Choir, Circle, and Gallery from the ground to the third. Throughout the year, you can reliably find valuable performances almost every two weeks. Ticket prices vary based on the performance, time, and seat. One strange aspect is that although you purchase your ticket online, you receive it by post within the next 48 hours. Additionally, for some performances, you can find cheaper tickets about an hour before the show starts in the venue.

We went to the 90s night on New Years Eve Eve all the musicians were dressed in their best 90s get up including meatloaf, Freddie Mercury, Noel Gallagher ask sat amongst the musicians it was fantastic. Please note we did have a snob sat next to us which wished to shush us mid performance whilst we hanging out to cher, luckily that wont stop our spirit so we still had fun. Thanks for an amazing performance.

Took the wife to see the wonderful Aifie Boe at the amazing Bridgewater hall for her birthday. Firstly, I just like to say well done to all the security team outside the venue for carrying out security checks and stopping people and asking to see inside their bags great job very professional and polite no hold up in the queue all flowed nicely πŸ‘. Also, good job done by the staff inside the venue showing people to their seats πŸ‘ it was a great night Aifie Boe getting the audience involved . Downside half-time interval long queue for the ladies also not enough staff on at the bar I just about got saved its not the fault of the two staff that was on they was doing the best they could just needs the people in charge to maybe think about an extra person to help out on buzy nights . But overall, it's worth a visit in a great location with transport links all around From taxis - trams ( Metrolink ) buses if that's not enough plenty of hotels round for that overnight stay . I am looking forward to my next trip out . We'll done to each and every one of you .

Went to watch Hans Zimmer v John Williams by the Manchester concert orchestra. Amazing experience. Pictures don't do it justice although we sat at the back you could see everything just fine. Seats were very spacious and comfy. Staff were extremely helpful. Only gripe is it was a bit slow and congested coming out but apart from that it was brilliant. If you haven't been to watch an orchestra there I recommend it. Plenty of toilets and bars on each floor. We worked at the Bridgewater car park around 3 minute walk away.

Fantastic venue. Always clean, tidy and warm. The staff are always so helpful and friendly. We enjoy going to see The Halle Orchestra here whenever we can. Nothing else quite like it and the acoustics are so good in this venue. Truly so lucky to have this venue on our doorstep. Will be returning for many many years to come ❀️

My graduation ceremony happened at this place. This place will be in my special moments. A nice seating arrangement for guests and any ceremony or event in this place would be great experience. Bar and coffee stalls also available in ground floor and first floor.

I found the staff very helpful and the facilities very good. To gain an acolhic drink before the performance ( and during the break), the bar is to the left as you walk into the Hall with a sitting area. If, however, you merely want coffee / Tea/ cake etc it is to the far right going into the Hall. The seating area at the bar covers both aspects . The signage for this is rather poor, but the staff were good. The whole building was impressive. 😊

I've been here for two performances - Shostakovich's Symphony No. 5, and Elgar's The Apostles, in February and June this year respectively. Both performances were amazing - thanks to not only the orchestras that the hall had performing, but also the incredible acoustics of the hall. There are a decent number of other facilities in the building as well as the amazing main hall. Bridgewater Hall is definitely a must-visit concert hall in Europe, and I can't wait to attend more performances in the next concert season.

The Bridgewater hall is a unique venue. The quality of the sound throughout the hall is superb. We were there to see Mike And The Mechanics. We were sat way up in the gods but the sound was great and the view was uninterrupted. A great night and fantastic venue.

Visited Bridgewater Hall to see Darren Hayes in concert and the range of his voice was not tainted in the hall at all as the acoustics in the building were amazing. The building throughout was lovely and clean including the bathrooms and all the staff I encountered throughout the evening were so lovely. My only wish was that the bar had stayed open later than 8.45 as even though drinks are pricey everyone was enjoying being there that much they were more than willing to keep spending. I would definitely visit again

We try to VISIT The Bridgewater Hall each year for a concert movie. This year was Star Wars Return of The Jedi. The performance was superb as always, however we did encounter some ticketing issues. We ordered two tickets earlier in the year, however something cropped up a few weeks before the event and we needed to change the date. The staff member was helpful and advised us to return the tickets and a new set would be reissued, which we did. However after around ten days we had not received anything back and so chased them, to be told that the new tickets were being held at the booking office for us to collect on the night. On arrival we went to the booking office to be told that there was no record of the tickets being held. The staff member was helpful and reprinted tickets for different seats. We arrived at the seats to find someone else sitting in them, on checking seat numbers, the other people were in the correct seats and so we went back to the booking office. By now the show was just starting, we were swiftly issued new tickets, but felt like we were disturbing people as we went to our seats and were tutted at, understandably as the performance had started. Overall the staff were helpful and the performance was excellent, however I would recommend making sure everything is sorted if you do need to amend dates.

A great venue holds about 2000, the bars were efficient not to pricy and with a good selection of both alcoholic and non. We where in the choir seats (second tier) and had a fantastic view. Lots of people singing and stood up dancing, a really enjoyable night.

Fantastic venue both in acoustics and architecture. I have enjoyed myself every time I've been. Something to note that is slightly annoying is that you're unable to take any drinks in, except for water (which has to have been filled up from their facilities for security I guess). The only reason I can think of for this is that they want to prevent a lot of people getting up for the loo and disrupting the performance. Nevertheless, it would be good to enjoy some wine whilst watching.

Staff were very pleasant, polite and helpful. Theatre was a comfortable temperature despite it being very warm outside. Seats were a little uncomfortable after sitting in them for a while. Toilets were clean and tidy but neither of the 2 hand dryers were working. I had to try a few soap dispensers before I found one with soap. The water from the tap was very hot so be careful if you take children.
