Went there last week for the first time and loved the food so much that I made another trip in the same week! Highly recommend the lamb chops and kale chaat - never tried anything like that before. It’s a cosy restaurant with friendly staff and quirky decor. Conveniently, there’s also parking very close by. I did find it pricey, but the quality and innovation behind the dishes makes up for it. I also like that with some dishes they ask how spicy you’d like it which is different from most Indian places I’ve been to. Will definitely be back again soon!

We Eat out a lot Nothing special about Tandoor Chambers , Ambiance a bit Dark for my personal taste On the night we visited was very hard to hold a conversation with the person sitting opposite very noisy probably down to the acoustics of the property as its an Ex bank, building rather than the clientele. Confused about the food the waiting staff unsure had to ask management Was told the starters are NON HALAL but the mains are HALAL ?? Not saying its not true sounds a bit suspicious Dont quite see how that works especially. when there is an overlap . Stuck to vegetarian dishes. To be honest run of the mill Dall Tarka lacked the tasty punch it should have had Chilli Paneer was ok and The Peshwari naan was overfilled in parts and under filled in others so that you had in one mouthful an explosion of sweetness and in another virtually no coconut taste, or sweetness at all. I did have other dishes that were average in taste .Not to be unkind overall its a reasonable restaurant and most of the English patrons wont taste the difference But it s not a place I would be eager to visit again, We should have realised the evening ahead when we received the menu a Typed A4 piece of paper !!! not classy at all and at £65 per head that night very underwhelming. I was very disappointed but its all down to palette , personal expectation and preference others may find it to their liking and that's as it should be, we are all different. However universally good food speaks for itself on this visit it just didnt hit the mark with us. Definitely room for improvement no complaints about the service that was excellent.

Made a spontaneous visit here yesterday and loved it. Great food, lovely staff (the front of house lady / owner in particular is always such a treat to speak to), and lovely drinks too. The kale chaat is OUT OF THIS WORLD, as is the daal makhani. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

Fantastic food! It may look like just a nice neighbourhood restaurant on the outside, but we had some amazing dishes. The tandoor momos were just perfect for one. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. VERY warmly recommended.

Nice ambience and great location (very nice quaint high street). Food was decent, starters were great. Mains was ok but very heavy and rich, think due to a lot of butter in the curry dishes (not just the butter chicken). Starter lamp chops were excellent. Staff were accomodating and friendly. Made some dishes extra spicy as requested. Quick service when ordering drinks. Pricey restaurant for the food but overall good experience.

Refine Indian cuisine, superbly executed. The flavours of each dish are so subtle. Highly recommend any of the tandoor dishes - the lamb chops in particular are exceptional.

It's Indian cuisine but not a typical Indian restaurant. It's both familiar and yet somehow unfamiliar - and I once lived in India. Sunday lunch 1pm. Perhaps the perfect time to visit. The place had only a few other diners. It had an extremely chilled Sunday afternoon atmosphere. We loved our dishes. Complex and subtle spicing made working out the ingredients difficult. Smoked garlic and fenugreek were abundant in a few but add the tandooor cooked meat and you have a whole new level of flavour. Interesting that the chicken used was thigh...which you don't often see over here, juicy, succulent and moreish. The dishes, for me which come with notieriry are the Kale Chaat, the Karahi Murgh and definitely the Daal Tarka. It was a delicious lunch, served with care (and attention) in relaxed surroundings. We'd definitely be back, but I don't want to when it's packed, as it usually is.

We enjoyed a lovely meal with some family friends this evening and honestly every single dish was absolutely delicious!! Not only that but the waiter was really helpful in selecting dishes for your children which are extremely picky. We all left happy and fully enjoyed our evening! Thank you to all at Tandoor At the chambers we will be back again 🌟

Where do I start. This is definitely 1 of the BEST Indian restaurants I've eaten at. The venue is beautifully decorated. We sat under the indoor tree which feels fun, looks beautiful. The starters are phenomenal. Twists on classic keema as a starter - so flavoursome. The game changer is the kale chaat. I've dreamt of it since our visit in July. Perfect blend of crunchy, creamy and diverse flavours. Then the corn ribs. Wow! Genius. The masala (flavour) on these is KAPOW. wasn't expecting much from them so they're the underdog alongside the jale chaat. As for mains, the best chicken curry dishes. We tried the chicken tikka and the pieces of succulent thigh meat have the distinct tabdoor charred flavour. The Paneer tikka masala (or was it butter curry) was another level of creamy indulgence. The bombay potatoes (?) - extraordinary for a potato...something I'd never usually order. Why? Crushed sesame crumb. It took a good few tries to guess what it was...crushed sesame for the gentle crunch and then softness of the potatoes cooked in mustard seeds. Not to be missed. Best Indian restaurant!

Highly recommend this place for a special night out. Food is always super tasty and prepared well. A bit on the pricey side but worth it. Best to book in advance as not the biggest place but always busy on the weekend.

Incredibly tasty meal. Dare I say one the best I’ve eaten out in a good few years. Lively atmosphere that goes perfectly with the delicious food. I could’ve eaten any of the starters and mains the four of us in our party had. Kale chaat and lamb chops were next level. We just about had room for desert which was just excellent as all the other courses. Very friendly and efficient service from all the staff. We’ll back plenty of times for sure. Definitely book to avoid disappointment as rightfully it’s very popular.

Food & service is 10/10! Visited this place with my bestfriends was lovely catching up with beautiful food and drinks! Definitely will come back again the food was unreal can’t wait to visit this restaurant again definitely one of the top Indian restaurants for me! The decor and atmosphere was beautiful too! There is also a car park opposite the restaurant which is a big bonus!

An exquisite Indian dining experience awaits at this charming establishment nestled in Buckhurst Hill. The culinary journey was a delightful symphony of flavors, with a special nod to their abundant selection of delectable vegetarian dishes that truly elevated our dining experience. While our taste buds danced with delight over the vegetarian offerings, we did notice a slight shortfall in vegan choices, as many dishes incorporated cheese or butter. Expanding the range of vegan options would certainly enhance the dining experience. In terms of pricing, it's worth noting that this Indian restaurant leans towards the higher end, with bills potentially surpassing £30 per person. In summary, despite these minor drawbacks, our visit was a solid four-star experience, offering a palate-pleasing journey through Indian cuisine with the potential for some refinements in dietary inclusivity and price point.

Had dinner for one working away. Food was delicious and came quite quickly. Nice atmosphere with many groups, couples etc. Menu does not have loads of items, it doest need to. The menu provides enough variety and as I said food was great.

An excellent experience provided by the team, who took great care with patience to look after my parents who were visiting for the first time. I’ll definitely be returning. Fantastic food. Thank you.

Great dining experience from arrival to departure. Promptly seated, very helpful, and friendly staff. Excellent table / customer service throughout. Clean, relaxed atmospheric venue. Dined as a family of 4. Menu options were plentiful, and food dishes, although small, were rich, extremely tasty, and traditional dishes with a modern edge. And to those whom this matters, very Instagramable foods. Cocktails are a bit dull, but there are plenty of other beverage choices. Overall, experience was high quality, and I would definitely recommend a visit.

The Chambers is really an outstanding restaurant and well worth the wait for a reservation. We went again recently as a family and liked everything we ate and all thought how each dish was outstanding.

Restaurant with friendly, out-going staff and a cool interior. The starters, especially the kale salad were great. However, the mains, especially the lamb and the duck were seasoned a little too heavily for our liking

We went to this fine restaurant with our family including young children. We can say Tandoor at the Chambers has to be one of the, if not the best Indian cuisine we have experienced in the UK. A stunning Indian restaurant, with beautiful decor which creates a unique ambiance whilst you begin an unforgettable experience. A tranquil designed tree in the middle of the restaurant with colourful mixture of designed flora relaxes you as you enter the restaurant. The owners, Vipan and Manisha welcomed us in with passion and warmth, as well as the staff. Every dish we ordered and were recommended including the salmon for starters to the Kale chaat and prawn curry was "scrumptious" and "dazzling". The dressings to the quality of the food was impeccable. Manisha and Vipan's with their delicate warm approach ensured our experience was well beyond any expectations. In summary, must try, must return, Tandoor at the Chambers is the best Indian combing the finest traditional and modern ways of cooking together. Thank you to Manisha, Vipan and their team for an unforgettable experience.
